I’ve been going here years for Sharonda. Some new girl that sit directly behind the counter need to take it back to the kitchen. $75 for a pony to come out in 2 days. My stylist that actually does hair in the kitchen does way better work than this. It was uneven, full of spritz & Got2b. When she saw i may have not had enough hair for a middle part (she saw my cut when i got it done there a few weeks/months back & i told her whichever part will be easiest bc ik my hair is at an awkward length) she proceeds to brush the spritz out the side she molded & pulled it back, raking my hair.
I made a comment about bigger rubber bands, “I have em but that’s only if you want ur hair to break off”. As if it’s still perfectly in tact & not flaking profusely after she just pulled that stunt. She used black beeswax to cover the flakes then rushed to her other client after she laid my overgrown baby hair.
Was 10 minutes late also. Don’t let that lady play in y’all head. I forgot her name. Go to who ur used to. She only getting 3 starts because of Sharonda, if i could give a 0 i would.
Leslie P. has been my stylist for years. I love her and her work. Laura, the owner is so nice. She always has a smile. The other stylists are so nice and hospitable. They care. I'll be back!!!
No complaints at first...
But after a few weeks, I began having issues. The net that was used to protect the braids completely lifted from the back of my head to the front (along the section of the leave-out) causing discomfort and the hair to pull. The hair that was still sewn together also became entangled and matted between the string and net which was extremely difficult to remove (there was no way to avoid cutting some of my natural hair during this process either).
Overall, the people were very nice and customer service friendly and I hate to leave a review like this but I just can't get over the damage to my hair; it just beats the purpose of getting a "protective style".
Awesome environment, nice people, Chiquita does my hair and it's the healthiest I've had in years. Highly recommended this salon. They also have a guy that sells fruits/veggies, cookies, and even juices. Love coming here.

Laura's Hair Salon is a VERY peaceful, positive, and professional place that can meet all of your hair, nail and clothing needs. My stylist, Shuntrice is AMAZING! ALL of the other operators are also excellent at what they do too. Do yourself a favor and check it out! You won't be disappointed....I promise.
Some of the stylist are a little old fashion very friendly atmosphere following CDC covid 19 guidelines mask & cleanliness
My stylist is Robyn. I love the fact that she doesn't have you waiting for a very long time.
I love that she doesn't use a lot of heat when she is drying my hair and I also love the fact that she is able to give more braid styles. I only get goddess braids, but I love that she will take my suggestions and if it doesn't fit my face she'll let me know.
