Quick Facts About Moriah Nails & Spa
Moriah Nails & Spa has received a mix of positive and negative reviews from customers. Analyzing these comments provides insight into the strengths and weaknesses of this establishment.
Starting with the strengths, one notable aspect highlighted by multiple customers is the accommodating nature of the staff. One customer mentioned that even though they called near closing time, the salon was willing to stay open and provide excellent service. This demonstrates their commitment to customer satisfaction and willingness to go the extra mile. Additionally, the friendly and helpful demeanor of the employees was appreciated by customers, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
Another strength is the talent and skill of certain manicurists at Moriah Nails & Spa. Several customers expressed satisfaction with the nail art and design work they received. One customer mentioned that their nail art was exactly what they asked for and even better than expected. This demonstrates the expertise and attention to detail of the manicurists, which can be a major draw for customers seeking unique and personalized designs.
Affordability is another strength mentioned by customers. One customer specifically mentioned that the services were reasonably priced. This provides an advantage for attracting a wider customer base who may be more budget-conscious.
Moving on to the weaknesses identified by customers, one major issue is the improper removal of acrylic nails. One customer expressed frustration and disappointment with the removal process, stating that their nails were permanently damaged as a result. This highlights a major flaw in the technique used by the salon, as the proper way to remove acrylic nails is through soaking in acetone. This incident suggests that the staff may not be adequately trained in proper removal procedures, potentially leading to further damage and dissatisfaction for customers.
Durability and longevity of the services provided is another weakness highlighted in the comments. Multiple customers revealed that their gel manicures chipped off or their nails broke within a short period of time. This suggests issues with the quality of products used or the application process, leading to subpar results and a poor overall experience for customers.
Inconsistency in service quality is also mentioned as a weakness. While some customers had positive experiences, others mentioned that their nails were sloppily painted and lacked precision. This inconsistency can lead to a lack of trust and uncertainty for potential customers who may be seeking consistent quality.
Another weakness highlighted is poor customer care. One customer mentioned feeling embarrassed by the interaction with an employee who was upset when reminded about a forgotten French tip. Additionally, another customer mentioned feeling rushed and receiving a subpar paint job despite paying for a higher-priced service. These incidents indicate a lack of professionalism and attentiveness from the staff, affecting the overall customer experience negatively.
In conclusion, Moriah Nails & Spa demonstrates strengths such as accommodation, talent in nail art, and affordability. However, weaknesses in their services include improper acrylic nail removal, low durability of manicures, inconsistency in service quality, and poor customer care. These weaknesses should be addressed to improve customer satisfaction and retention.

this place is a gem. i was visiting from out of town and really wanted a gel manicure and pedicure. i called them at 530pm (they closed at 7pm) and they said they’d be able to accommodate me! they did an absolutely excellent job on both my gel mani and pedi. they even stayed after hours to finish up. they were also very friendly. i wish i remembered their names so i could give them specific shout outs! i absolutely love my nails and would highly recommend this salon to anyone.
I’m so happy with the pedicure and full set I got here. Julie’s nail art is exactly what I asked for! Very friendly and helpful staff overall. I’ll definitely come back!
I will never, ever go back to this place again. My only request was to have my acrylic nails removed and instead I now have nails that are permanently damaged.
Background info: I do not get my nails done often and I had acrylic nails for about month prior for an event. I had had them removed before but many years ago.
The woman who removed my acrylics took a fake nail, dug under the cracks between the acrylic and my natural nail, and ripped them off. It was painful and I even asked if this was the way to remove them and she said yes. I was sweating and in pain every time she dug under the cracks to remove them.
It has been two months since this and my nails have not grown back. I have put nail growth and clear protectant over them but after seeing a doctor they said there was clear permanent damage. It could take many months or even years for them to grow out the trauma and injury.
The proper way to remove these is to soak them in acetone in order for them to become soft before removal. If your nail salon is not doing this, they are injuring your nails! (Possible permanently)
Please do not go to this place, especially for removals.
(Excuse my dirty nails, I was gardening prior to posting.)
I tried this nail salon since it’s conveniently next to asu, but safe to say I’ll never go back.
I got my nails done 8/18 and after only two days three of my nails had broken and by the third day (today 8/21) all five nails on my right hand have broken off. I am not someone who is harsh with their hands and have had nails done longer from other salons and have not had this issue before. Not sure what happened, but I’m very irritated that I wasted $50 before tip on nails that didn’t make it past the weekend.
My manicurist did such an AMAZING job! She used my reference photo but I think her work turned out better than the photo! Ill put both below - my nails are the one in front of the steering wheel. I also asked for them to be shorter than the picture too which is why it isn’t exact. So reasonably priced as well! I am very happy and will be returning :)
I don’t like to leave a bad review but come on.. you’re charging me $40 for this ?
I wasn’t happy with the result. Most of all, the employee had forgotten the French tip and she got upset cause I had to remind her about it.. I’m pretty frustrated with the result.. This is not a pretty or decent French tip.. also, pulling my arm to go pay (as I was already in my way to pay) .. that was not okay.. this is embarrassing to have .. My money went down the drain for this.. I’m sorry but please improve with costumer care..
My gel manicure chipped off with in 3 days…I’m from out of town so I wasn’t able to go back to have them fix it. I read all the bad reviews and went anyways, so just trust all the bad reviews and not waste your money.
Very rushed. Nails are my only complaint. The massage and the scrub was nice (I got the Deluxe $45)
Paint job is sloppy and meh. Fortunately I wasn’t paying for this haha
