Quick Facts About Mr Lee's Hair Place

Strengths:
1. Affordable pricing: Customers appreciate the fact that Mr Lee's Hair Place offers competitive prices for their haircuts. The $25 cash price for men's cuts is considered reasonable by many.
2. Efficient service: Several customers have commended the speed at which their haircuts were done. This efficiency can be appealing to individuals looking for a quick haircut.
3. Experienced and traditional barber: Customers value the fact that Mr Lee is an experienced barber who has learned his trade through traditional apprenticeship. This gives them a sense of confidence in his skills and expertise.
4. Offers additional services: The inclusion of services such as shampooing before the cut and styling after the cut is appreciated by some customers. These additional offerings enhance the overall experience for those seeking a more comprehensive hair care session.
5. Positive experiences from loyal customers: There are customers who have been going to Mr Lee's Hair Place for several years and express their loyalty and satisfaction. This suggests that there are customers who enjoy their experience at the salon and continue to patronize it.
Weaknesses:
1. Unprofessional and unfriendly owner: Multiple reviewers have mentioned that Mr Lee himself is unprofessional and unfriendly. This can create a negative atmosphere for customers and make them feel unwelcome or uncomfortable during their appointments.
2. Inconsistent cutting quality: Several customers have expressed disappointment with the quality of their haircuts. Complaints include uneven sides, unprofessional cuts, and excessive rush during the haircut. This indicates a lack of consistency in the quality of service provided.
3. Pricing discrepancies: Some customers have reported inconsistencies in the pricing. While initially being quoted $25 for a haircut, they were surprised to be charged $40 at the end. These inconsistencies can create a sense of distrust and dissatisfaction among customers.
4. Lack of communication and customer satisfaction: Customers have expressed frustration with the lack of communication and disregard for their preferences. They mention instances where their instructions were not followed, and the barber failed to ensure their satisfaction with the cut. This lack of attention to customer satisfaction can lead to negative experiences.
5. Comparison to alternative salons: Some reviewers have compared Mr Lee's Hair Place to other salons, mentioning alternatives that provide better experiences, take their time with cuts, and ensure customer satisfaction. These comparisons highlight areas where Mr Lee's Hair Place may fall short in comparison.
In conclusion, Mr Lee's Hair Place has some strengths in terms of affordable pricing, efficient service, an experienced barber, and additional offerings. However, weaknesses such as unprofessionalism, inconsistencies in cutting quality and pricing, lack of communication, and comparisons to alternative salons detract from the overall customer experience. Addressing these weaknesses and focusing on improving customer satisfaction and consistency could greatly benefit the business.

Best TL Reviews

My personal barber retired. I decided to try this shop. I'm difficult when it comes to my hair. The owner Lee is unprofessional and not friendly. The lady his assistant is friendlier than him. I showed him the picture and he said it's easy. He said he knows what he's doing. While he cuts my hair, I told him I don't like certain things. He got irritated. Anyway, he said $25 at first than at the and he said $40. Im very disappointed here.
It seems the bad reviews is accurate. My hair was cut very fast with no equal sides and not professionally as it should. The man was in rush to cut my hair eventhough mo customers were there even after he finished with me. The price is expensive compared to the bad cut I had. I differently won't come back.
(Read below for my recommendations if you’re new to DMV). I was excited to find mr lee’s hair salon. The price for mens cut is $25 in cash, and he had great reviews. The procedure is great since they wet your hair prior to the cut and then shampoo your hair afterwards. But my experience with him was awful. My appointment was at 5 pm so I arrived around 455. I ended up waiting 15 minutes which was fine and normal. I told him my preference which is 2 block (korean style cut) but on the shorter end. During the cut, he kept jabbing me with the electric razor which was painful. He also combed my hair aggressively like he was rushing since he had two other customers waiting. When he finished cutting, he should have asked if I was happy with the cut but instead he just moved on to another person and left me to pay. I had to go to a restroom nearby to see my final cut (it was way too long) and ended up coming back to ask him to recut my hair. He never apologized for it but he kept blaming me for not giving him instructions (I told him short!). It was awkward and uncomfortable.
My recommendations for a good quality hair cut for asian men is JJ hair salon which is 25 for cut or mimi and mina which is 28/cut. They take their time and make sure you like your cut before you pay. Mr Lee is rude, and he doesn’t deserve the praise he receives on google and yelp.
Made a next day appointment since they were especially busy when I called. No problem. Shampoo, sat in chair, then Mr. Lee came over to ask what style of hair cut I wanted. One of the ladies blow dried before the cut. Mr. Lee came over and quickly cut my hair, perfectly, just like the picture I showed him. Not too much chit chat but everyone was friendly, which is fine with me. $35 + tip. Very satisfied customer.
Excellent !!!! Loving it here. 머리 깔끔하게 잘 다듬어 주셔서 맘에 드네요. 직원분들도 친절하시네요. Recommended!!!
I've been going to this salon on and off for about seven years now, and I love it. $35 includes shampoo, cut, and style. There is no discount for paying in cash if you have long hair, but men's/short hair cuts are $20 if paid in cash ($25 with credit). I've heard that Mr. Lee is less proficient at styling short hair. Since I have medium/long hair that I get cut six to seven inches every time I go, I do not deal with this so it has worked out fine for me!
Edit: It looks like they do include cash discounts for women now (March 2021.) I forget the prices but it was about $5-10 cheaper than with cash, which is in line with the men's discount.
Absolutely awesome! Most country’s including Korea don’t allow a graduate to start cutting people’s hair as soon as they graduate. You are an apprentice first. Mr. Lee is a traditionalist; he learned the right way by first being an apprentice. He is absolutely great at what he does. I don’t EVER go to an American salon bc you never know what level of experience you’re gonna get. This is the only place I get my family’s hair cut!
Mr. Lee is absolutely the best. I've been to some of the best in NY, DC, VA and elsewhere, but no one compares for a fast and beautiful haircut. Beats all these pricey salons for sure, getting less and paying more.
