Quick Facts About N & D Nail Salon
N & D Nail Salon has received a mix of positive and negative comments from customers. Let's analyze these comments to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the salon.
One recurring theme in the comments is the friendliness of the staff. Multiple customers have mentioned the nice group of people who work at the salon and how they are always friendly, even when busy. This shows that the salon excels in providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere. Customers appreciate the staff's patience, friendliness, and genuine interactions.
Another strength highlighted by customers is the skill and attention to detail of certain nail technicians. Customers have praised technicians like Peter and Van for their excellent work, attention to detail, and ability to deliver the desired shape and thickness of acrylics or gel fill. This indicates that the salon has skilled professionals who can provide high-quality nail services.
The quick service has been experienced positively by some customers. They appreciate not having to wait for a long time and being able to get their nails done efficiently. However, the fast pace of the salon can also be seen as a weakness. Some customers have mentioned that the technicians work quickly, which can lead to mistakes and peeling of their nails just days after the appointment. This shows that the salon may prioritize speed over perfection, which can be off-putting for customers who value quality and longevity of their nail treatments.
The cleanliness of the salon is mentioned in a couple of comments. Some customers have mentioned that the stations were fairly clean, indicating that the salon maintains a decent level of cleanliness. However, there are no specific comments about the overall cleanliness of the salon or the tools used for the treatments, so it is unclear whether they meet higher standards.
There are a few negative comments that highlight weaknesses of the salon. One customer was disappointed with the removal of gel polish, stating that the technician did not use acetone and instead ground off the polish using grinding wheels. This resulted in damaged and uneven nails, which is a significant flaw in the salon's service. Another customer complained about the durability of the gel manicures, stating that they only lasted around 8 days, which is a short lifespan for this type of treatment. Additionally, a customer felt overcharged and unsatisfied with the quality of their nails, but their concerns were not addressed properly by the staff.
In conclusion, the strengths of N & D Nail Salon are its friendly and welcoming staff, skilled technicians who pay attention to detail, and quick service that some customers appreciate. However, there are weaknesses in the form of rushed service leading to mistakes, short-lasting manicures, questionable cleanliness practices, and inadequate response to customer complaints. The salon should consider addressing these weaknesses to ensure customer satisfaction and promote their strengths further.

Super nice group of people who are always friendly no matter how busy. They work quickly, but that can also be a downfall. I noticed several little mistakes and peeling just days after, which stopped me from coming because they were too quick. However, I scheduled same day to bring my girls in, and they had such a great time. I appreciated their customer service, friendliness, and patience.
I go to the University of Delaware and I LOVE this place. The people are so nice and out of all the salons I’ve tried in the area, this is the one I keep coming back to. Peter (whose done my nails on a few occasions now) is fabulous and really takes his time to get the shape and thickness of the acrylics just right. In love with my new set !
I went in at 5pm on a Thursday for a gel refill (+ color change ofc). It was the best nail salon experience I’ve had in years! As soon as I walked in: great energy, friendly staff, quick service (no wait & was done in half an hour). I got Lily who was so genuine & sweet (everyone was tbh) & she has industry knowledge that only comes from loving what you do. I’ve gone there sporadically over the years but I will definitely be back regularly now. ✨????
I went to the Nail Salon just to remove some gel polish and how this was done just shocked me. The man doing it did not use any acetone. He literally just ground the polish off with different grinding wheels. All of it! I thought wow this guy must be really good. Nope he was not. My nails are chewed up so bad I cant even wear regular polish as the look hideous. Chewed up, rough, high and low spots and completely uneven. Never again after all the time I spent having great nails will I go to a Nail Salon!

Current: I’ve been going here for 4 months now, and I’ve finally made my peace with not going back. The first two visits were great: friendly staff and good, lasting work. I’ve been seven more times and the gel manicures don’t last more than 8 days anymore, and even the upgraded ($$) pedis don’t “clean up” the rough patches on my feet. My most recent manicure (pictured in the dark blue) is just a mess—wrinkles and bubbles in just about every nail.

Original: I made my first appointment here for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The price was great at $50 total (without tip of course), and I was very pleased with Judith’s work. Her own nails were so pretty, I had her do mine the same color. I’ll definitely return for another pampering session! The stations were all fairly clean, too.
I am a sophomore at the University of Delaware and have been going here since I started school my freshman year. My nail tech Van is absolutely amazing. I come in every two weeks for a gel fill. She is very friendly and always puts a smile on my face. She pays amazing attention to detail which results in perfect nails every time! I also love all the other employees as they are super friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend N&D and my girl Van.
Got a full set 5 days ago. Paid $51 plus tip and 3 nails have already fallen off. Workers were pretty nice but it was the worst manicure I've ever gotten. My nails usually last 4 weeks at my usual place.
It say 9 dollars for waxing on board it ended up being 12 then I showed a picture for a full set I wanted I was told 45 and got charged 55 and my nails didn't even look all that great. I brought this to her attention and she walked off and ignored me. Never again
