Nails Expo Place, based on the comments provided, has both strengths and weaknesses. Let's analyze them in detail.
Strengths:
1. Personalized Service: One recurring customer mentions that the staff at Nails Expo Place knows their name and always greets them with smiles. This suggests that the salon values building relationships with its clients and providing a personalized experience.
2. Excellent Work: Another customer states that they have been to several places in Racine but consider Nails Expo Place their favorite. The customer specifically praises the work done by a nail technician named Lily and mentions that their nails always turn out amazing. This demonstrates the skill and expertise of the salon's technicians.
3. Child-Friendly Environment: A customer shares their positive experience of visiting the salon with their 6-year-old daughter. They mention that the staff treated their daughter with care, suggesting that Nails Expo Place is accommodating to a wide range of clients, including children.
4. Friendly Atmosphere: Several comments mention that the employees at Nails Expo Place are nice and that the salon has a pleasant environment. This creates a welcoming atmosphere for customers and enhances their overall experience.
Weaknesses:
1. Wait Time: One customer complains that despite having made an appointment, they had to wait for 50 minutes before their nails were started. This indicates that the salon may have difficulty managing their appointments efficiently, leading to delays and inconvenience for customers.
2. Inconsistent Quality: A customer reports that while the nail technicians were nice, their nails were half polished, with edges not properly finished and noticeable smudges. This suggests that there may be inconsistencies in the quality of work performed at Nails Expo Place, impacting customer satisfaction.
3. Pricing and Payment Issues: Multiple comments mention concerns regarding pricing and payment methods at the salon. One customer felt that they were overcharged for a fill-in, while another believed that the prices were high and subject to negotiation. The salon's insistence on cash payments, despite accepting card payments, also raises questions about transparency and fairness in pricing.
4. Poor Hygiene: One customer mentions that they noticed a dirty waxing pot and general uncleanliness in the salon. This indicates potential lapses in maintaining proper hygiene standards, which may deter customers who prioritize a clean and sanitary environment.
5. Inconsistent Pricing: A customer expresses frustration about experiencing higher prices for the same services compared to others. This suggests that Nails Expo Place may lack consistency in their pricing policies, leading to customer dissatisfaction and a perceived lack of fairness.
In conclusion, while Nails Expo Place is valued by some customers for its personalized service, skilled technicians, and friendly atmosphere, it has notable weaknesses in areas such as wait times, inconsistent quality, pricing, payment methods, and hygiene. These areas require improvement to enhance overall customer satisfaction and to maintain a positive reputation in the beauty industry.

I have been using this place for over a year now. They all know my name. Always greet me with smiles. We have shared laughs and stories. They do amazing work! I've let Lily do what she wants sometimes or I'll bring in a pic and it had always turned out amazing. I have bn to alot of places in Racine n this is by far my favorite place!
I made an appointment, but didn't get my nails started on until 50 minutes later. My nails were half polished. The polish is not going to the edges & there's smudges. The employees seem nice & environment is pleasant.
Such a great place , I went with my daughter she's 6 and they treated her with such care. Lily took care of me and did such a great job with my nails , they came out better than expected!
I just moved here from Illinois and this was the first nail place I found. Environment was nice and the owner was SUPER nice to me. Gave her a reference photo of what I wanted and I think she did a good job of replicating it. Nail shape is really pretty and strong. Not too thin and not to thick. Only downside is the price. She wanted to charge $70 even though it was a fill in because I asked for designs. Also she demanded cash for everyone to pay even though they could take card. I refused to pay cash because she already wanted such a high price. Other than that good experience.
I came in for a fill. The nail tech over drilled my nails and cuticles. I had to stop her because of how painful it was . She then continued w a regular nail filer which again, she kept going over my nicked areas . It was by far the most torturous experience I’ve ever had . My cuticles are raw . The continued to file the edges after the nail polish , i was literally screaming inside . I was contemplating getting my brows shaped but as i washed my hands i noticed how dirty their waxing pot was and their hole area in general. Moved around the area so i figured i would give it a try .
Anyway they charge $50 for a full set the lady tried to charge me $45 for a fill ! Because she said my nails were long… she filled the overgrowth…. She did nothing else . She ended up charging me $40…
Save ur money and go somewhere else it i could give it negative stars I would .
Highway robbery… They don’t have prices posted up to tell you how much the service will be because they make up high prices in their head.. $30 dollars for gel polish $5 dollars to take off for hands and toes a complete scam… that’s $70 for a polish change only on hands and feet…. the atmosphere is peaceful but they charge to much scamming people with too many different prices… I will never pay that much for a polish change when you can get a full set cheaper than that.. no other place in Racine charge that much but them I will never go back to the scammers again…. Went to the mall and payed $40 for both…
Friendly...free hand design good but actual outcome of dip and shape disappointed
Too pricey, 185 dollars for a fill-in on my real nails and two regular pedicures(mines/daughters). Also she whispered the price & tried to force me to pay cash. As I started asking about the service she was whispering and got really nervous. The tech started writing prices on paper sliding it to me like we were in negotiation. She said if I paid cash she could give me more discount???? . I got a fill-in (real nails), two fingers designed, and 2 pedicures. I’ve never paid 185 for a fill-in on my real nails and two regular pedicures! ☹️ Literally, I listened and watched they charge different people higher prices for the same services ????????♀️! Not my kind of place!
