Quick Facts About New Phila Nail Salon

New Phila Nail Salon appears to have a mix of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. The strengths of the salon include friendly staff, decent manicures and pedicures, and the ability to capture specific nail designs. On the other hand, the weaknesses include poor sanitation practices, long wait times, inconsistent pricing, communication issues, and unprofessional behavior.
One of the strengths mentioned by a customer is the friendly staff. They mention that everyone was nice, which can create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers. Additionally, a few customers mentioned that their nails turned out well and they were happy with the results. One customer specifically mentioned that they were thrilled with their manicure and chose a specific color that they liked. This shows that the salon has the ability to provide quality nail services and has skilled nail technicians.
Another potential strength is the pricing. One customer mentioned that they enjoy having their nails done at this salon, despite the different prices for services. This suggests that the salon may offer affordable options for customers. However, it is important to note that consistent pricing is also important for transparency and customer satisfaction.
Unfortunately, there are several weaknesses that were mentioned by multiple customers. One major issue is the poor sanitation practices. One customer recounts a horrifying incident where the nail technician accidentally cut their finger, but proceeded to put acrylic over the cut and continue filing the nails. This indicates a lack of proper hygiene and sanitation, which can pose a risk to the health and safety of customers. Additionally, another customer mentioned that the tools used were not properly sanitized, and the nail technician picked someone else's nail out of the nail clipper before using it on the customer. This is a clear violation of hygiene standards and reflects a significant weakness in the salon's practices.
Another weakness highlighted by multiple customers is the long wait times and communication issues. One customer mentioned waiting for an hour, only to be told that they couldn't be accommodated. This shows a lack of organization and scheduling on the part of the salon. Additionally, the same customer mentioned that they had called and checked before coming, arrived early, and even asked again if they could be accommodated, but were still told to come back tomorrow. This displays a lack of effective communication and customer service. Another customer mentioned that the wait time for a pedicure was ridiculous, with waits of over two hours. This can be frustrating for customers and may deter them from visiting the salon.
There were also comments regarding language barrier issues, with one customer mentioning that it made communication difficult. This can create a barrier between the salon and customers who do not speak the same language, leading to misunderstandings and potential dissatisfaction.
Furthermore, there were a few comments that mentioned unprofessional behavior from the salon. One customer, who is also a business owner, expressed that if they can't follow through on a service, they would not tell a customer that they can. This suggests that there may be a lack of professionalism and accountability within the salon. Additionally, one customer mentioned that they were charged more than the sign indicated. This inconsistency in pricing can lead to customer dissatisfaction and mistrust.
In conclusion, while New Phila Nail Salon has some strengths such as friendly staff and decent nail services, there are several weaknesses that need to be addressed. These weaknesses include poor sanitation practices, long wait times, inconsistent pricing, communication issues, and unprofessional behavior. Improving these areas will be crucial for the salon to provide a satisfactory and safe experience for their customers.

The guy that does nails sliced my finger open with the file and while it was bleeding proceeded to put acrylic over the cut and file over it again with the electric file while it was bleeding and got blood on electric file and just wiped it off with paper towel and then told me I have sensitive skin. And charged me more than sign said. Very disappointed.
Got my nails and toes done. The manicure and pedicure were both decent but minimal. My pedicure was just hot water a sugar scrub and lotion. Nothing in the water (other than my toe nail clippings they put in there after clipping them), no hot towels, or clay mask, which I normally see at their price point.
Nails the tools used all had clearly not been sanitized. The person doing my nails picked someone else’s nail out of the nail clipper before clipping mine.
Everyone was nice, and my nails don’t look bad but they need to at the bare minimum step up the sanitation efforts.
They made me wait an HOUR only to end up telling me they couldn't get me in. I called and checked with them before even coming, I arrived about 20-30 minutes before they even told me to and I even asked AGAIN before signing in if they could get me in and they said yes. After waiting an hour they told me they can't get me in, come back tomorrow. This is HORRIBLE customer service. If they would have just told me from the start they couldn't get me in that would have been fine.
I'll be honest, I've never been impressed with their service, but there seem to be limited walk in nail options so I've just dealt with them. They almost always cut me while filing, one cut was REALLY bad and seemed like it got infected and the language barrier always made things difficult.
I'm a business owner, if I can't follow through on a service I don't tell a customer that I can.
This was very unprofessional on their part.
I like them best for our area. Pricing Menu they have hanging up is pointless ???? everytime I go in there it's a different price for everything. But I've always gotten in quick and enjoyed having my nails done there
I got a manicure for the first time today and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results! The gel color is 103 I picked it cause it looks like tigers eye. A lovely woman named Han did them.
I've been going to this nail salon and the mother's girl does an awesome job she's the only that does what you ask for best place ever
This really is a great pedicure, it will last without chipping or loosing its shine. BUT they are walk in only and the wait is ridiculous! Waiting 2+ hours - even checking in and leaving to shop before returning is not worth it. The gentleman will tell you wait is at least hour and fifteen minutes no matter how long the wait actually is, be cautious of this!! If you are lucky enough to walk in and get serviced in a reasonable time frame, get the pedicure! If there is a wait list, be cautious
Definitely been enjoying this place! Just recently started getting my nails professionally done again after years of walmart stick ons. I've tried a few other places around town but these guys will be my go to now. Nails last longer then other places and they just look better! Its worth the walk in wait time for me. They've done an awesome job capturing my Cleveland Brown spirit this year ????
