Quick Facts About New York Nails
New York Nails is a nail place with mixed reviews based on the comments provided. In order to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of this establishment, we will examine its customer service, skill level of nail artists, appointment management, atmosphere, and consistency.
Starting with the positive comments, it is clear that New York Nails has talented nail artists who can produce beautiful results. Customers have praised the work done on their nails, particularly when they provided pictures or specific instructions. This indicates that the nail artists have the skill and creativity to meet customers' expectations.
Another strength mentioned is the friendly and personable nature of the staff. Customers have mentioned the kindness and helpfulness of the employees, specifically praising a nail artist named Jess for her great work and pleasant demeanor. This positive interaction with the staff contributes to a welcoming atmosphere.
In addition to the skill and friendliness of the staff, the convenience of New York Nails is highlighted in a positive comment. The availability of parking and the acceptance of card payments without issues are seen as advantages. This indicates that the establishment is customer-oriented and strives to make the experience as hassle-free as possible.
However, there are also several weaknesses mentioned in the comments. One recurring issue is the management of appointments. Customers have complained about overcrowding, long wait times, and instances where appointments were not honored. This suggests a lack of organization and communication on the part of the salon, resulting in frustration and inconvenience for customers.
Another weakness highlighted is inconsistency in the quality of the services provided. Some customers have had great experiences, while others have complained about crooked and misshapen nails, as well as nails that did not fully cover the natural nail. This lack of consistency indicates that the skill level of the nail artists may vary, which can be problematic for those seeking reliable and high-quality service.
Furthermore, some comments mention issues with hygiene and professionalism. One customer reported seeing a nail artist more focused on their phone than their job, while another mentioned torn skin and fingers after a service. These instances suggest a lack of attention to detail and a disregard for the customer's well-being and comfort.
Additionally, a comment mentioned a change in mask-wearing policy. Despite the lifting of the mask mandate, the salon wanted the customer to wear a mask. This inconsistency in following guidelines may raise concerns about the establishment's commitment to health and safety protocols.
In conclusion, while New York Nails has strengths such as talented nail artists, friendly staff, and convenient services, there are also weaknesses in terms of appointment management, consistency, and professionalism. The salon would benefit from improving its organization, ensuring consistent quality across all services, and prioritizing customer satisfaction and hygiene.

Absolutely beautiful! I don’t know much when it comes to nails, so I was pretty clueless. All I did was show a picture and ask for acrylic and the color to be pink. From there, I let her do her thing. In the end, I’m absolutely thrilled because they did amazing work! I payed around $60. Great work! ☺️
Made an appointment days ago for my daughter to get her nails done for prom. Showed up 5 min prior to appointment time, place was PACKED. Then was told they were filled, would "try n squeeze us in". When I say it was packed, there was no where to sit with several people already waiting. Annoyed to say the least. I scheduled this between the two jobs I work. ???? WHY EVEN ACCEPT AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO UPHOLD IT?! We wont be back. Would not recommend.
Loved it here. The girls are nice, they are sisters. Jess is quiet n does a great job. I will be back.
Jessie was amazing. My nails came out exactly how I wanted them. Will be going here from now on.
First time going here & was pleasantly surprised! I showed the nail artist a picture on Pinterest of what I wanted done & she did it to a tea. I will definitely be coming back
Lately, I have become annoyed with the staff attitudes at my regular nail salon in a nearby town, so I've been trying other places near my home and office. So far,, I had not found anything better... until yesterday when I had the deluxe pedicure with David at New York Nails.
I am extremely pleased! He did my toenails just the way I asked and the foot/leg massage (both with and without the hot stones) was awesome!
The folks were friendly, parking was easy, and they accepted payment by plastic without any issues. No nasty attitude at all... the woman who asked me to pay while my toes were still drying (because they were closing) even apologized for rushing me (although I didn't feel rushed at all).
A good experience... I felt like they valued my patronage. I'll be back!
P.S. Not only do the backs of the pedicure "thrones" massage you, but the seats do too!
Horrible???? my nails are so crooked and misshapen… some don’t even cover my whole nail. The guy was more focused on his phone then his job. Terrible experience. Already have a nail coming off
Made an appointment for 10:00, twenty minutes later and I was still not seen. Didn't wear a mask two weeks ago but they wanted me to wear one this week after the mask mandate was lifted. Quality from two weeks ago wasn't great. They tore my fingers apart. Only went again because it's close and I wanted them done.
