Quick Facts About O Boo Ja Beauty Supply
O Boo Ja Beauty Supply seems to have a range of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
One of the main strengths of O Boo Ja Beauty Supply is the large variety of products they offer. This is mentioned in two of the comments, with one person stating that they found everything they needed and another mentioning a multitude of products. Having a wide selection can be beneficial for customers as it allows them to find all their beauty needs in one place, saving them time and effort.
The helpful and patient staff are also mentioned in a positive light in the comments. One customer specifically states that the staff went out of their way to make them feel at home. This level of customer service can contribute to a positive shopping experience and can make customers feel valued and supported.
Despite these strengths, there are several weaknesses highlighted in the comments. One customer had a negative experience with purchasing hair extensions. They claimed that they paid a high price for supposedly top-quality human hair extensions, but the quality turned out to be poor. Additionally, the customer was unable to get a refund or return the product. This indicates a potential weakness in the quality control and return policy of O Boo Ja Beauty Supply.
Another customer complained about a decline in the quality of a specific product they had previously purchased. They expressed frustration that the price remained the same despite the change in quality. This suggests a lack of consistency and quality control in the products offered by the store.
There are also reports of defective or expired products being sold by O Boo Ja Beauty Supply. One comment mentions that the store does not inform customers about the possibility of receiving expired products and refuses to exchange or provide store credit for defective items. This indicates a potential weakness in product quality and customer service.
In terms of customer care, one African American customer expressed disappointment with the lack of understanding and consideration for their specific hair needs. They felt that the store was not catering to their cultural and natural hair requirements. This suggests a lack of diversity and cultural sensitivity in the products and services offered by O Boo Ja Beauty Supply.
There is also a comment mentioning that the staff at O Boo Ja Beauty Supply watches customers closely. While this may be seen as a measure to prevent theft, it can potentially make customers uncomfortable and create a negative shopping environment.
Lastly, someone commented on certain items not being available. While it is natural for stores to occasionally be out of stock on certain products, consistent unavailability may indicate a weakness in inventory management and customer satisfaction.
In conclusion, O Boo Ja Beauty Supply has strengths in its large product variety and helpful staff. However, there are weaknesses highlighted in the comments including poor quality products, a lack of consistency, potential expired or defective items, a lack of cultural understanding, and limited availability of certain products. These weaknesses may affect the overall shopping experience and customer satisfaction at O Boo Ja Beauty Supply.

See the pic
Left side :Locs from last month

Be careful when purchasing products at this store, they have a lot of defective products. Perhaps products that are expired but they don't let consumers know about it. Watch out if you are purchasing something that you might have to open to find out if it works, if you open something, even if it doesn't work they will not give you store credit or exchange it for you. I just had a terrible experience where I had to involved the police in order for this people to even listen to the issue that took me back to their store in the first place. Rude CSR, rude owner and staff all together. They don't deserve not even one star ???? at all. I will dare to assume that all the nice reviews they have in the review site, those reviews are coming from themselves, friends and family members. ????
I went to O Boo Ja Beauty Supply in Long Beach and was very disappointed at the customer care I was given in choosing an afro style wig. Unfortunately as an African American woman I felt as if I was being pushed to purchase styles that were more European in hair texture. I battle with this because I know that I have choices. I can wear my own hair natural or straighten it. My choice. However I am in between styles and growing out my natural tresses, while searching for a wig that I can transition into my natural hair style, once I have grown my hair out to the length I am comfortable with. Erika was pretty rude when I asked for assistance and chose to turn me over to another helper who was not at all in tune with the natural hairstyles of African American women. I was frustrated that they make alot of money selling to a huge African American clientele but blissfully unaware of our needs and the importance of our cultural image.
To say the least I would not recommend this beauty supply store unless you have no other option. Also the prices are overly inflated. I recommend going to a Black owned Beauty Supply store or take your chances and order online where Iyou can return it if you don't like it. I personally will skip the hassle of dealing with retailers who just want to make a quick buck selling to my culture without taking the time to relate to it.
They will watch the hell out you,but they are nice.
Very helpful from possibly the owner or manager. I was in there almost 30 mins. Some items weren't available but a large selection overall
