Quick Facts About Pink & White Gel Nails & Spa
Pink & White Gel Nails & Spa has received a mix of positive and negative comments. Here is an analysis of their strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided:
Strengths:
1. Friendly and well-staffed: Customers have praised the salon for its friendly atmosphere and efficient service. Walk-ins are handled promptly, ensuring a positive experience for customers.
2. Quality services: Several customers have praised the quality of the manicures and pedicures they received. The gel and dip powder manicures are particularly highlighted for their long-lasting results and beautiful designs.
3. Talented staff: The skill and creativity of the staff, especially manicurist Sara, have been commended. Customers appreciate the staff's ability to replicate requested designs accurately and the attention to detail they provide.
4. Reasonable prices: Some customers feel that the salon offers competitive prices, particularly in comparison to other salons in the area. This makes it more accessible for customers on a budget.
Weaknesses:
1. Price inconsistency: One customer mentioned a discrepancy in pricing. The salon initially quoted them a lower price over the phone but charged a higher price during the visit. Inadequate communication about pricing can leave customers feeling frustrated and deceived.
2. Chipping and lack of longevity: While many customers were satisfied with the longevity of their manicures, one customer noted chipping after just one week. This suggests that the durability of the gel manicures may vary and may not meet the expectations of all customers.
3. Additional fees for polish removal: Customers expressed dissatisfaction with the additional fees charged for polish removal. They feel that it is unfair to charge customers twice for putting on and removing the polish.
4. Poor lash service: One customer had a negative experience with the salon's lash services. They described the application process as unsanitary, citing a lack of proper cleaning and a reaction to the lash glue. This negative feedback raises concerns about the competency and expertise of the salon's lash technicians.
Overall, Pink & White Gel Nails & Spa demonstrates strengths in terms of customer service, quality of services, and friendly staff. However, they also have weaknesses related to pricing inconsistencies, issues with durability, additional fees, and poor lash services. Addressing these weaknesses can help the salon improve its overall customer satisfaction and reputation.

Very friendly place! Well staffed so walk ins are handled immediately! I hadn't had a manicure in over a year but promised myself new year would bring about taking care of myself more. I received a gel manicure at manicurist recommendation. My nails looked fabulous!! However $35 plus a tip is out of my budget for a manicure not even acrylic nails. I waited to post this review to see if they would still look great after a week with that price. I noticed a little chipping today at 7 day mark. Yikes!
I went today for the first time to this salon; as we moved nearby and my other salon is so long to drive. I am pleased by the quality of manicure and the friendliness of staff. The lady Nim gave me a beautiful dip powder ombre sunset manicure complete with a hand painted palm tree on each ring finger. I am in love!!! I never want to take this Mani off. Will be back for sure. Thank you so much!
I am editing my review to 3 stars. I felt that the service was rushed on my dip powder manicure and now less than 2 weeks later it is starting to chip. I normally get 4-5 weeks out of this type of Mani so I'm not happy. Also, I found out that regardless of type of Mani or Pedi you get they charge a gel polish removing fee of $3 and a dip powder removing fee of $5. I am paying them to put on the polish and then again to remove it?? Doesn't seem fair.
So happy my friend and co worker Lori brought me here! Literally the BEST pedicure I have ever had. My mani looks great also! Even though they were busy, they never rushed. They took their time and made sure my nails looked great. I live 30 minutes ish away, but I will be making the drive here! Prices were SO much better too! Nice job Ladies!!!!
UPDATE FEB 2023- FOR ALL SARAS CUSTOMERS THAT HAVE BEEN TOLD SHE IS OUT OF TOWN. THEY LIED, SHE IS AT A NEW SALON ON 4th ST & GANDY. ASAIN NAILS & SPA SALON THANK THE LORD I FOUND HER!
Absolutely LOVE coming to this salon. Sara has been doing my nails for about 2 years now. They always come out amazing. The designs she does is amazing. I can show her a photo of something id like and she always hits it spot on! French solid colors holiday nail art. AMAZING! Her staff are always so polite and go above and beyond.
Do yourself a favor and hard pass on this nail salon. Do not even CONSIDER coming here for lash service. I am horrified by what these people did to my eyes, I honestly fear for anyone else who has had the misfortune to stumble into this “salon” and think these people were going to do a quality job. I’ll explain that in another post ( it’s too long for one).
When I first called and asked how much a set of acrylic fills costs, the lady told me $35. I have no problem with that. I get there, ask for a pretty simple design (it is literally a slanted French manicure) and the lady doing my nails said it was going to be an extra $5. Again, I figured even that wasn’t a problem since it was a design and she was doing extra work.
Then, halfway through doing my nails, the lady just goes “Actually, I’m going to charge you 8.”
I was so caught off guard I just said “Okay I guess” because I’m non-confrontational and she had been really nice to me. So, midway through a service, the employees at this salon think it is appropriate to try to catch you off guard and tell you you’re going to be charged a higher price than you agreed upon before going into things.
When I paid for my nails, I was charged $48. For a simple design, a generic acrylic refill. Just hot pink slanted tips. They went from $35 on the phone, to an extra $5 for the design, then $8, then just a random $48.
Also, the lady doing my nails decided to add a little nail art design on both of my ring fingers without me asking and I absolutely despised it so much that I had to go back and get it removed. Then, when I went back to get it removed, instead of just LISTENING TO ME and doing the nail with the plain design they kept trying to match the nail art to the other one and it was so awkward to tell them I just didn’t like it and didn’t want it. Not sure why you can’t just give customers what they literally already overpaid for. The lady who I assume is the owner ushered me into a backroom and literally just tried to get me in and out as quickly as possible. I was done in under 20 minutes which is a major red flag. I went in there with individual mink extensions on which the lady clearly could see, as most of my previous set was still in tact (even 3 weeks grown out my previous lash lady was amazing).
This lady didn’t even clean my eyes, she didn’t put anything on my bottom eyelids to prevent my bottom lashes from getting glued to the top lids – she just went for it. It was so unsanitary I can’t begin to explain how horrified I am looking back I can’t believe I didn’t just get up and walk out.
She used cluster lashes and dumped HEAPS of lash glue on them aimlessly, SO CLOSE to my lash line which prevents oxygen from getting in to your eyelashes and your follicles can get clogged and irritated. That is so incredibly dangerous, I am furious that she did that to me. I told her I wasn’t satisfied and she gave me a hard time about helping me trim them down. She trimmed them down a TINY bit and kept trying to talk me into liking them, I just gave up and walked straight over to dollar store to buy tiny scissors to do it myself. In the time that it took to get them removed, I had an allergic reaction to whatever they did to my eyes. My eyes swelled up and I literally couldn’t open them for an entire night.
The lady at Pink and White didn’t take the time to remove my old lashes, she just piled the new clusters right on top. She literally took heaps of glue and new lashes and just made a nest on top of some other lash tech’s lashes. Those lashes were on my face for 3 weeks already, they were grown out, they were heavy, they were dirty. That is literally SO. DANGEROUS.
It took my new lash lady an hour+ to perform the lash removal disaster created by Pink and White, when she said that a typical lash removal takes her around 10 minutes. She said that she had to use 5 times the amount of product to remove all of the glue and low-quality cluster lash that was heaped on my face. My eyes are still bruised and swollen over a week later from having these put on.
Love the atmosphere! My daughter and I loved our nails and service ❤️
We had a fantastic experience.. they were all super sweet. And we had amazing pedicures. This is a week almost two! Not a chip or a scratch to be found.. thanks guys! Cant wait to see you again.
It was a great experience! She took her time to make sure my nails looked perfect and they are very friendly.
