Quick Facts About Pretty Nails & Spa
Pretty Nails & Spa seems to have a number of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. The strengths of the establishment are:
1. Convenience: Many customers appreciate the convenience of the salon, mentioning that it is close to home or that they have been long-time customers. This suggests that the salon is conveniently located for many people and has built a loyal customer base.
2. Cleanliness and Promptness: Several comments mention the cleanliness of the salon, implying that it is well-maintained and hygienic. Additionally, customers appreciate the prompt service and quick pedicures, making it a good option for those in a hurry.
3. Friendly Staff: Despite some negative experiences, some comments mention positive interactions with staff members, including Jenny and Henry who have formed relationships with long-term customers. This suggests that there are friendly and personable staff members at the salon.
However, there are also several weaknesses that customers have identified, which should be addressed by the salon:
1. Inconsistency: Multiple comments mention a lack of consistency in the quality of services provided. Customers have noted that the regular manicures are often sloppy and rushed, indicating a lack of attention to detail. Inconsistency can be a major problem for any business, as it can lead to a decline in customer satisfaction and loyalty.
2. Poor Customer Service: Some customers mention negative interactions with staff, describing instances of rudeness, lack of attention to their requests, and being charged extra fees without proper communication. Poor customer service can drive customers away and harm the salon's reputation.
3. Price Inconsistency: Customers have noticed discrepancies in pricing for the same services. Some have been surprised by higher prices than expected, suggesting a lack of transparency and communication about the costs involved. Clear and consistent pricing is important to ensure that customers feel they are being treated fairly.
4. Lack of Attention to Detail: Multiple comments mention issues with the quality of the services provided, such as nails being cut too short or shaped incorrectly, polish on cuticles, and gel polish peeling off quickly. These incidents of poor workmanship suggest a lack of attention to detail from the salon staff.
5. Lack of Consistency in COVID-19 Protocols: One comment specifically mentions the inconsistency in COVID-19 protocols, with the salon initially not offering a hand massage due to COVID-19 precautions but then allowing it for other customers. Inconsistency in adhering to health and safety guidelines can be a cause for concern for customers who prioritize their safety.
To address these weaknesses and improve the overall customer experience, Pretty Nails & Spa should consider the following actions:
1. Training and Quality Control: The salon should consider implementing consistent training programs and quality control measures to ensure that all staff members are providing services to a high standard. This can include regular assessments, performance reviews, and ongoing training opportunities for staff to improve their skills.
2. Clear Communication of Services and Prices: It is crucial for the salon to clearly communicate and display prices for services, ensuring that customers are aware of any additional costs before starting a treatment. Clear pricing will help build trust and prevent any misunderstandings or surprises for customers.
3. Enhancing Customer Service Skills: The salon should invest in customer service training for all staff members to improve their interpersonal skills, including effective communication and problem-solving. A friendly and attentive staff can greatly enhance the customer experience and promote loyalty.
4. Consistent COVID-19 Safety Measures: Pretty Nails & Spa should establish clear and consistent COVID-19 safety protocols and ensure that all staff members adhere to them. Clear communication about these protocols with customers will help them feel safe, reduce confusion, and build trust.
5. Refund or Redo Policy: Considering the comments about peeling gel polish and dissatisfaction with the results, the salon should consider implementing a refund or redo policy for customers who are not satisfied with their services. This shows a commitment to customer satisfaction and can help rectify any issues that arise.
By addressing these weaknesses and capitalizing on their strengths, Pretty Nails & Spa has the opportunity to improve their overall customer experience and maintain a loyal customer base.

No consistency. No attention to detail.
Lately I’ve found the quality has truly decreased at Pretty Nails. Time and time again the regular manicure I receive is sloppy; nails shaped crookedly, polish on my cuticles, overall a rushed job.
Yesterday the $20 manicure didn’t include the normal hand massage with lotion. When I Inquired as to why it wasn’t done, I was told due to Covid, they couldn’t do hands touching hands. Which might make sense in an alternate reality but; THE ENTIRE manicure is hands touching hands, just last month I had a massage with lotion, and I watched the person next to me get the massage with lotion. So no consistency.
I’ve always tipped well at these establishments, but after yesterday I will be looking for a new one or continue doing them at home.
The nail tech I had did not want to perform her job. Went for a pedicure, asked for Callus removal which is an additional cost, she didn't use the tool after I asked her to do so, told her not to polish my big toe because I injured it, she did it anyway. Needless to say, I'm not pleased with the service I received. If no stars was an option, that would be what this establishment would receive from me!????????????
My sister and I had to fly in with no notice due to my dad passing and we needed gel nails for the funeral. So four of us went for a 5pm appointment. We wanted full gel sets and was told $45 for regular nail and $55 for gel ok no problem. Once we sat down he cut my nails so short and did not ask what length I wanted them he said square or round I said coffin he said $10 more OMG ok I sat and said nothing else bc Everytime I open my mouth it was more money. My nails are short fat and not coffin they have bubbles and today made a week and one just broke. My mothers were short and horrible as well the other two sisters were short and bubbles on every nail. The place was beautiful inside and I felt we were in good hands and the work would be amazing absolutely not go somewhere else.
My go-to nail salon. At this point it feels like home. I will tell you that I've noticed, the price differentiates between nail tech's. The highest I've paid is $75 by someone I'd never even seen working in there before. The lowest I've paid is $65 for the same length and shape I always get. Something I have now learned from experience is, when you sit down in the chair and tell them what want, make SURE they tell you what it will be so you're not sitting there with sticker shock when they're done. Other than that, I've loved all my sets.
I’ve been a customer with them for 15 years- FIFTEEN YEARS!! I’ve always left happy! Jenny and Henry knew me by name and I’ve even brought family here. Last week I had “chrome” polish put on for an extra 20 bucks- within 24 hours the top coat peeled off and they looked terrible. I finally had time to go back in today for a redo- (Jenny did them initially then redid them today) she said “I no charge you for redoing today”. I asked her about a 20 credit- “no we cannot do that”- we can repaint chrome- I said “no thanks, don’t want the same thing to happen” .. I told her “ you can choose to not credit me the 20 , and I can choose to never return to your business “ Guess she didn’t need my business anymore because she let me walk out..
Two days after getting these done, the matte top coat is coming off. The other picture is where they cut me but I have dry cuticles so that’s not a huge deal to me. But notice how shiny they are..the matte didn’t last at all and charged $10 extra I think for matte top
Coat. I’ve never paid this much for dip ($65) on my natural nail. Waste of money to now have to go have somewhere redo them. Wish they were better bc it’s close to home.
The lady that did my nails here was VERY rude. She was rough and unsocial. She was the manager from what I could tell, although I'm not sure why. Her people skills were far less than appealing. Will not be returning. Needless to say she charged $55 for a fill in. The picture shows my nails the very next day. The gel polishing is literally peeling off already!!
Fastest pedicure ever if you're in a hurry. Unfortunately, my "massage" was about fifteen seconds and then she tried to charge me an extra $7 for callus roval which consisted of her rubbing my heels for ten seconds since I don't actually have any calluses. Was hoping for better. Very clean and prompt though.
