Weaknesses of Puglisi Hair Cuts:
1. Inconsistent service: One customer noted that their haircut at Puglisi Hair Cuts was not exactly what they wanted. While they didn't find it significant enough to be dissatisfied, it raises concerns about the consistency of the service provided.
2. Lack of attention and professionalism: Another reviewer had a negative experience with a barber who seemed more concerned with personal matters and was not attentive during the haircut. This lack of professionalism and customer focus can be seen as a weakness of the establishment.
3. Potential discomfort during the haircut: A customer mentioned that they felt uncomfortable and even choked at one point during their haircut due to the barber's rough handling. This indicates a lack of attention to customer comfort and physical well-being during the haircutting process.
4. Limited specialty: While Puglisi Hair Cuts excels in European haircuts, there is no mention of other styles or services they offer. This may limit their customer base to those specifically seeking European haircuts, potentially missing out on a wider range of customers.
5. No children's prices: One customer mentioned that Puglisi Hair Cuts does not offer children's prices, which may be a disadvantage for families or parents seeking affordable haircuts for their children. This can limit their appeal to a specific demographic.
6. Inconsistent quality: One long-time customer mentioned how they have had generally positive experiences at Puglisi Hair Cuts but noted a recent appointment where they were dissatisfied with the haircut. This inconsistency in quality raises concerns about the reliability of the barbers and the overall consistency of the service.
Overall, Puglisi Hair Cuts has several strengths, such as their expertise in European haircuts, longevity in the industry, passionate barbers, and personable service. However, there are some weaknesses to consider, such as inconsistent service, lack of attention and professionalism from one barber, potential discomfort during haircuts, limited specialty, lack of children's prices, and occasional inconsistency in quality.

Gute Männer. Den Laden gibt's schon ewig. Haircut $35.
Puglisi's are hands down, THE BEST. Probably in at least a 150-mile radius, they're that good. I went through dozens of barbers until I finally found them. Not only are they all passionate experts with at least 30+ years of experience, but they have MASTERED the European cut. I lived in Italy for a year and no other barbers could match the Milanese haircut, but these fellows do so with aplomb. I literally don't ever have to worry going into them, they know how to cut hair and do it WELL. They recognize what you want so you don't have to ask each time. They're also personable and I love speaking Italian with them. Barbershops like these are a dying breed so I hope they continue to last for generations to come. I'd drive two hours to get their cuts if I had to and would give them 10 stars if I could - highly, HIGHLY recommended!!
I’ve been to a lot of barbershops in DC and hands-down these guys are the best! For all the guys out there, they do an amazing high and tight cut and they do it so well while following the safety guidelines(face masks always on). They are OPEN right now go check them out!!!
My boyfriend looks so cute when he gets his hair cut at Puglisi’s. 10/10.
Not sure about the whole shop. My first time there and probably my last. The haircut wasn't exactly what i wanted but it was close enough to not care.
The barber was more concerned about checking his phone messages and chatting with other barbers or patrons then giving me a haircut.. He never spoke a word to me after I said what i wanted (not really caring about that) but his actions were brusk and, at one point, his pulling on the cloth around my neck was choking me. It was like I was inconveniencing him by being there.
Maybe the others are good.. they all sounded friendly, but not sure it's worth the risk to go back.
This is the most authentic barber shop in DC. It's been around forever. The barbers are excellent, friendly, chatty if you wish, and fun. The only thing lacking is the striped barber pole outside!
Great place for men's haircut. They don't do appointments, but the wait is reasonable. I took my 7 year old boy too, and I found out that they don't have children's prices. Their prices are fair so I may even bring him back again. Expect a pretty traditional barber shop premises, with experienced hairdressers who know what they are doing.
Walk in roulette!!! I’ve been going to Puglisi for 5 years and I have kept coming back even after I moved out of Foggy Bottom. Most barbers do a very good job but today my barber barely took any hair off the top. I normally ask for a #2 buzz around the sides and cut the top short but I barely feel like I got a haircut. I could feel that I wouldn’t like it but I feel really guilty saying or repeating what I want done. So I paid and left and will probably go somewhere else for another hair cut today.
