The quality of service changes drastically when the owner Mercedes is not present. When she is there the ladies are courteous and productive, when she isn’t they are rude and slow.
Make sure to visit when the owner is there if you want to enjoy your hairstyle and your time while at the salon.
I take both my daughters here for a wash and set and they are great. It Is usually busy but the wait doesn't seem long. There Is always a good amount of people working and things move smoothly. They do a great job at doing hair and I have no complaints.

I was there and I feel like if you can’t speak Spanish they don’t try to do your hair nice. They can’t curl black hair/ style it. Only the salon owner Mercedes can do all hair types the other women cannot. It’s cheap but not worth it if Mercedes isn’t there. When she’s not there they’re rude & lazy.
This will be forever my favorite salon. I’ve been going here for over 13 years. I’ve since moved from Reading, but Mercedes is the only person I trust to cut my hair. In the 13 years I haven’t always been faithful. I’ve tried some boujee salons in Philly and on the mainline, but they always seem to butcher my hair.. I definitely learned my lesson. She’s 100% worth the 1.5 hr drive. Her cuts always grows out beautifully and she’s super affordable.
