Quick Facts About Rosa's Dominican Hair salon
Rosa's Dominican Hair salon has a number of strengths that are mentioned in the comments provided. Firstly, they offer great scalp treatments, which is appreciated by customers who want to take care of their hair and preserve their natural curls. Additionally, the salon offers a variety of services, including roller sets, blow drying, and straightening, catering to different preferences and styles.
The salon is also praised for its affordable prices, which is seen as a strength. Many customers mention that the prices offered at Rosa's Dominican Hair salon are competitive and reasonable. This is particularly appreciated in comparison to other salons in the area that may charge higher prices for similar services.
Some customers also mention that they had a positive experience overall at the salon. They felt comfortable during their visit and appreciated the friendly and caring attitude of the staff. This creates a welcoming atmosphere that makes customers feel at ease while getting their hair done.
Another strength of the salon is its convenience. Customers mention that no appointments are needed and they can simply walk in for a service. This is beneficial for those who may have busy schedules and need the flexibility to fit a salon visit into their day.
However, there are a number of weaknesses that are also highlighted in the comments. One major issue mentioned is the unprofessional behavior of some of the staff members. Customers complain about instances of arguing between staff members, rushing through services, and even discrimination against African American clients. This creates a negative experience for customers and may result in them seeking services elsewhere.
Another weakness mentioned is the lack of attention to detail and proper hair care practices. Customers report issues such as hair not being properly detangled and cut incorrectly, resulting in uneven hair. Furthermore, some customers express concerns about the excessive heat used during blow drying without any protection, leading to damage.
Additionally, there are complaints about the assumption that customers don't understand Spanish and the negative comments made in that language about customers' hair. This is seen as unprofessional and disrespectful to customers.
Overall, while Rosa's Dominican Hair salon has some positive aspects such as great scalp treatments, affordable prices, and convenience, the negative experiences mentioned by customers regarding unprofessional behavior, lack of attention to detail, and potential discrimination against African American clients are significant weaknesses. These issues can greatly impact the reputation and customer satisfaction of the salon.

I love coming to this hair salon. I have 3c hair and I like to preserve my curl, but still wear my hair straight/wavy from time to time. They have great scalp treatments. I go for that and get a roller set, sit under the hair dryer for over an hour and then get the base of my hair blow dried.
I do sometimes kindly ask for the heat of the blow dryer to be turned down (cooler) to prevent hear damage.
Some of the ladies at this are completely unprofessional. The lady that washes and conditions is an absolute dream of a person, she was nice and caring and asked my preferences when washing the hair. While I’m washing my hair there are two ladies arguing about who is going to do my hair, “no you do it, no you do it. No I can’t deal with her hair” like what??? Who does that?? Extremely poor service. And then once they finally stopped fighting over who is not going to do my hair, the only lady that did it rushed doing my hair and it came out so bad and puffy. There’s no reason I should be paying money to blowout my hair at one place and then go somewhere else so they can do a better job. Terrible service here, I will not be going back and I feel bad for any girl that goes to this place that is made feel the way I did.
I was long overdue for a haircut and needed a salon that knew how to handle my straight but thick hair.
I went early on a Saturday, and it was expectedly busy. I spent about a 1hr for a haircut (no wash/blow dry) which I think is reasonable considering I was told they don't take appointments.
The experience was good. I felt comfortable. The staff does assume you can't speak Spanish. I get it, don't look like I speak it, so I understand what prior reviewers mean. But the comment was just an offhand comment. It happens....People have rough days. I heard plenty of comments (in Spanish) about how nice/sweet they thought XYZ the customer was.
The price was terrific; you reallycan't
beat it.
Also my hair cut was great!
Received a wash, blow out, and trim. The amount of heat used with no form of protection is outrageous! Lady literally blowed my hair out with no serum or anything this has caused my natural hair to become very damaged after 1 visit. The automatic assumption someone doesn’t understand Spanish so you continue to bash them for having kinky hair in Spanish is not appropriate at all and very devious. 100% don’t recommend for natural hair women of color !!!!!
No appointment needed. Walk in service. Morena is great. Quick wash blow and curl without all the drama or missing a beat. Perfect for natural hair
Hair wasn’t properly detangled the lady with blonde hair who washed my hair started from the roots and was just combing, lady’s hands were shaking as she did my hair, I asked for a trim the lady in the 3rd chair turned me away from the mirror and cut 4 inches off. I was charged $10 more when I’ve been coming there for 4 years and before it was $25 prices went up from COVID it was $45 never 50. Won’t be going back. Nobody ain’t ask me nun about the length of my hair reroll them cameras. Maybe y’all need to learn how to do African American hair who combs from the roots and not the ends? She could’ve passed me the comb if anything or tell me she can’t handle it. Be more professional like my hair is uneven now. AND YES MY HAIR IS UNEVEN. I’ll call again tomorrow because you took my number down never called but could write back on google
If you from this city looking for a quick hair day in Norristown aht aht nope go back to the. City
I have given this salon several attempts to show their professionalism, however I can no longer support a business that shows outward discrimination against African American clients. I literally had to come to the rescue of a little girl as the hairstylist was ripping her hair out because she didn't want to take the time to comb through her hair and use detangler to make it easier to manage.
