In town for care at Mayo- really wanted to get my hair cut and had limited time- they got me in same day- amazing. The ambiance is soothing & restorative- option to pick the stylists skill level & correlating fee is terrific- my stylist nailed it; the fresh, less hair Do I was wanting - it was a great Experience
Had a massage with Erin & Pedi with Jackie. But were excellent & deserve 10 stars!
The spa environment was a little disappointing. Decor was very absent, no water elements or mood lighting in waiting area. Waiting area felt like it should be the employee lounge area, not the for spa customers, see photo. Didn't appreciate other staff coming in pedicure area to eat lunch & get a color change. Expected better behavior from this salon.
WARNING Check your receipts and any purchased products before you leave! I showed up for a walk-in, the cashier told me their cuts start at $35. I said “35 sounds good to me” her colleague said she had 15 min and could do it. I was taken back for a cut, no wash per my request. She cut my hair and was lovely to talk to but missed the areas around my ears and didn’t clean up my neck fuzz, and there are a few very long clumps that she missed cutting on the top. She put a little product in my hair that I liked and agreed I would buy a container. At check out I was charged $90 for everything. When I got home I found the product was not what I wanted and was demoed, I also noticed all the flaws in the cut, and looking at the receipt I was charged 55, not 35. For a high end business, this is abysmal. A bad cut, product switch, and hidden fees. Customer beware, check everything before you leave.
Waxing can sometimes be awkward but Danielle made the experience not at all! Also, the most painless wax I have ever had! She is great! Definitely will be going back!
I have had eyebrow waxing done here periodically over the years. I have also had other services all done well and I have been happy with them.
Last week I booked a mani/pedi and unfortunately it was very disappointing. The warm towel pedi was not enjoyable. My nails were misshapen on my hands and the gel polish didn’t even last a week. My nails were not painted well at all. Honestly I wish I would have not wasted my money, I could have done much better myself. There was nail polish outside of my nail beds on both my feet and hands, the coats of paint were uneven and poorly applied. Needless to say that will be my last mani/ped here.
Have a great massage therapist. Have had other services as well. Everyone is always nice and polite there. Enjoy getting a cup of Aveda tea before I start my session.
Had an awesome haircut with Lizzy. She did my hair just as I asked and was nice. It was $35 too which was surprisingly reasonable to me.
Really it's a 3 and a half star review but am leaning to 4 stars overall.
Erin is excellent as a masseuse! 5 stars! I've seen her quite a few times.
I had my first eco pedicure last week and am very disappointed. It was ok, not as relaxing as a soaking pedicure but it is more clean and sanitary.
The really disappointing part is I feel like my toes were painted by my 10 year old daughter. I usually leave my polish for 5 weeks as we all know toenails don't grow very fast, but the paint leaves so much of my toes unpainted I wanted to remove it that same day after I realized how bad it was once it dried.
It looks like it's been growing out for weeks, not days. For the price of a pedicure and 20% tip, I do expect way better attention to detail as my nails were also not filed to be a uniform shape or trimmed and cleaned evenly.
Great massages, not so great pedicures.
