Quick Facts About Shiraz Restaurant
Shiraz Restaurant has several strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, multiple customers mentioned that the food was good. It was described as yummy, authentic, and having an excellent taste. The portions were also mentioned to be massive, which some customers appreciated as it provided value for money. The restaurant was generally praised for being clean and having good hygiene. The presence of a small prayer area was also highlighted as a positive aspect for those who value religious considerations.
Another strength mentioned in one of the comments was the presence of on-site parking, although limited. This indicates that the restaurant has considered the convenience of its customers by offering a parking solution.
Some customers also appreciated the availability of gluten-free options. While not explicitly mentioned, it can be inferred that the restaurant offers a variety of grilled meats as part of its menu, making it a suitable option for those following a gluten-free diet.
In terms of weaknesses, the most commonly mentioned issue was the slow service. Multiple customers mentioned having to wait for a long time before receiving their orders. This can be a major inconvenience, especially for customers dining in, as it takes away from the overall dining experience. Additionally, one customer mentioned that the service was poor and staff members were rude, particularly towards non-Afghani customers. This type of behavior is unprofessional and can lead to a negative dining experience for certain customers.
Parking was also highlighted as a weakness, with one customer stating that they had to park in an awkward position and potentially had to move it while eating. Limited parking spaces can create inconvenience and frustration for customers, especially during peak hours.
Another weakness mentioned by a customer was the lack of friendliness towards non-Afghani people. This can make customers feel unwelcome and potentially deter them from visiting the restaurant. It is important for a restaurant to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers.
Despite the positive comments about the food, there were some criticisms as well. One customer mentioned that the lamb chops were dried and hard, indicating inconsistencies in the quality of the grilled meats. Furthermore, another comment mentioned that the rice was bland and under salted, suggesting that there might be issues with seasoning in certain dishes.
Additionally, one customer mentioned that the nans were thin and burnt. This indicates that there might be inconsistencies in the preparation of certain bread items, which can affect the overall dining experience.
Finally, one customer compared Shiraz Restaurant unfavorably to other Afghan restaurants, stating that it does not measure up in terms of quality and service. This comparison indicates that the restaurant may have room for improvement in order to compete with its competitors.
Overall, Shiraz Restaurant has strengths in terms of its food, portion sizes, cleanliness, and parking options. However, there are weaknesses in the areas of service, friendliness towards non-Afghani customers, and consistency in food quality. These weaknesses should be addressed to improve the overall dining experience and attract a wider range of customers.

Have had the food a couple time via take out services. This time thought why not actually go and try it out dine in style.
Food was good, massive portions which we cannot finish. Which is always good.
The service is very slow so you find yourself waiting for a long time.
Parking is another massive issue. They have some on-site parking but it’s limited so you will have park in a awkward position and maybe while eating have get up to move it.
Gluten free is a options as most food there is grilled meat but I would say speak to the chef directly rather than the servers.
Again the food is good.
I have visited this afghan restaurant last night. I pass by dew times before but never had a chance to go inside and Dine in, so made the effort and booked a table to experience the food. It looks very attractive from outside hence it was time to find out about inside.
Food was good but the problem with Aghan people is that they are rude, unprofessional and service is very bad. They only greet and welcome Afghan people.
I will not recommend this place if you are not afghani, there are better places and better food in the surrounding area.
Yummy afghani food. We ordered a sizzler platter and nan, which was enough for two of us. Ice cream is a must try. Service is poor, and it takes a long time to get the food on the table. Due to Valentine's Day, we had to wait 45 minutes for the table.
Kababs are good. We saw a nan with a twist and served differently.
We went here with my family and friend during the week and I must say, it was a mix experience. The food was OK but the service was poor.
Actually if you are not afghani, the staff does not like you and will be rude. You don't go out to eat but have a good time as well but it's not good to go with family if you are not afghani.
Grilled Food was good except the lamb Chops were dried and hard. I would reccomended the Charsi karahi (we got chicken)
Qabuli was nice, I mean look at thag portion!!
Chabli Kebab was nice also.
I would say *food is oily and heavy* as it should be, it is Asian cuisine, so maybe think about having something light as a starter.
One of the best and authentic taste. Nice and clean restaurant with majlis (floor seating) also available. Can get busy at rush hours. Owner is very humble and down to earth person. Must try. Reasonably priced.
I've been here twice now, very clean, good customer service, hygiene is good, wc are clean, has a small prayer area. Food is HMC too. Food was awesome too. Had Chicken Jalfrezi, large Afghani Nan, Qabuli Mycha Rice which is basically Sela Rice cooked with a Lamb Shank & nice salad. The meat off the Lamb Shank in the rice was just soooooo mouth watering....!
Defo recommend this place.
If you fancy a nice cuppa Karak Tea...go down the road to Chai Master - Awesome!
The service was quick and efficient
The food was good, not spicy at all. The rice was too bland and I would say under salted for a change. Grilled meats were amazing aside from the lamb chunks were overcooked
The premises were generally clean
The restaurant was quite busy with people constantly coming and going.
This place is not great. Does not compare at all to other Afghan restaurants like Wataan. They will tell you they don't serve tap water and don't have bottled water as they want to sell their canned drinks. When a place does this it is best to avoid them all together. The grill's were ok but their namak handi was terrible. Full of bones and definitely not worth £38. And their nans were thin and burnt.
