Do not go here ever! You want a messed up cut and beard trim….this is the place. Hard part left side line previously there just follow the guide, now the part is thin to wide uneven not the same size, I have no hair to comb over to the side because he cut the hair so short it looks like a helipad to land a helicopter on…so big you can land a CH-47 or a super stallion marine 1 on…then I asked for a beard trim, dude took a chunk out that isn’t even the same size as my last and then my neck line looked like he had delirium tremors and then he didn’t even razor line the neck and cheek line, worst service,
More worried about the outside environment, oh and then the professionalism, the one barber goes on a retreat doesn’t call her customers to tell them not to come to their appointment because she doesn’t even show up, so her clients still come in and they have to stop servicing their customers to rebook and calm someone else down….worst service ever!!!! Horrible
I requested and showed the barber a photo of hairstyle that I want. He cut my hair length way shorter than what I’ve request for both side and top. I do feel disappointed but the barber is a pleasant person so I tried to joke a little to diffuse my dissatisfaction.
If there’s any consolation, I can get haircut again within 3 - 4 months instead of my typical every 2 months.
Des does a great job listening to preferences and making the hairstyle match your head! Very nice fade! I’ve gotten my hairs cut 3 or 4 times now and she has done a great job! Easy to call and schedule. Everyone is friendly. The TV always has something halfway decent on it. Location is easy to get to - right under the Jimmy John’s (entrance is street side). I can recommend them for a solid men’s cut! Good value for as well!
Favorite place in Bloomington-Normal to get a haircut! They have good prices and wonderful stylists!

Great haircuts, great service, great people and always feel welcomed. I migrated from other barbershops around town that have been shuttered due to Covid-19. They’ve preserved their business through these difficult times. I’m excited to say that they’ve done a great job because they offer good value with competitive pricing, ability to make appointments or walk in, and experienced, friendly barbers. I’m making this my go to spot for haircuts from now on.
Classic American barber shop atmosphere. Friendly staff that make you feel like a regular after your first visit. Definitely one of the better haircuts I've had. Accepts cash and card.
I've tried a handful of barbers in the area over the past few years and the folks at Shorty's have been my personal favorite.
