Quick Facts About Squire Barber Shop

Squire Barber Shop has several strengths that have been highlighted by its customers. Firstly, many customers appreciate the affordable prices offered by the shop. The comments mention that the cost of a haircut is fair and worth the quality of the cut. The shop has been praised for offering a nice haircut at a nice price, and customers are satisfied with the value they receive for their money. The affordability of the shop is a definite strength, attracting customers who are looking for a good haircut without breaking the bank.
Additionally, the atmosphere and history of the shop have been praised by customers. The comments mention that the shop looks cool and has a sense of history, allowing customers to feel a connection to the place. This unique ambiance adds to the overall experience of getting a haircut at Squire Barber Shop and sets it apart from other barbershops in the area. The historical aspect adds a level of authenticity that customers appreciate.
Another strength of the shop is the barber, Gary. Many customers have mentioned that Gary is a great guy and fun to chat with. This creates a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, making customers feel comfortable and at ease during their visit. Gary's skills as a barber have also been praised, with customers mentioning that he provides clean and crisp cuts. The positive comments about Gary's personality and skills indicate that he is a valuable asset to the shop.
The cleanliness of the equipment is another strength mentioned by customers. Customers with sensitive skin have specifically pointed out that the equipment at Squire Barber Shop has not caused any breakouts or issues. This attention to cleanliness and hygiene contributes to a positive experience for customers, ensuring that they feel safe and well taken care of during their visit.
However, there are also some weaknesses that have been raised by customers. One common complaint is the long wait time. As mentioned in the comments, there is usually only one barber, Gary, which can lead to longer wait times. Some customers have mentioned waiting for at least an hour to get a haircut, which may be inconvenient for those with time constraints. This is a weakness that the shop should address as long wait times can deter potential customers.
Another weakness mentioned is the lack of appointments. While some customers appreciate the simplicity of walk-ins and have mentioned that setting up appointments is a breeze, others have expressed their frustration with the lack of appointment availability. Waiting for a haircut, especially on Saturday mornings, can be time-consuming and inconvenient for customers who prefer to plan their day in advance. Introducing an appointment system could help alleviate this issue and improve customer satisfaction.
The cash-only policy of Squire Barber Shop has also been mentioned as a weakness. While some customers understand that small businesses may prefer cash payments, others have expressed their preference for credit card payments. Offering multiple payment options, including credit cards, could be beneficial for the shop and attract customers who prefer the convenience of electronic transactions.
In conclusion, Squire Barber Shop has several strengths that set it apart from other barbershops in the area. These include affordable prices, a cool atmosphere with a sense of history, a friendly barber, clean equipment, and a loyal customer base. However, there are also weaknesses that should be addressed, such as long wait times, the lack of appointment availability, and the cash-only policy. By addressing these weaknesses and building on its strengths, Squire Barber Shop can continue to thrive and attract more customers in the future.

Went for just a trim, Gary is a great guy to chat with. The place offers a fair price as well.
Gary is a great guy and is fun to chat to. The shop looks cool and you can really feel the history of the place. Setting up appointments is a breeze. I always come here.
The worst hair cut that I ever received in last couple of decades. Went extremely short on the back and long on the top and sides contrary what I had requested and uneven on the sides. Now actively waiting for the hair to grow and recover. Hiding my face on Zoom calls and hoping offices don't open soon.
The cost is well worth the cut, but the wait is always pretty long. It's almost always at least an hour, since there's only one barber, Gary. He is, however, good at what he does and very friendly. The equipment is clean and hasn't given me a breakout in the two years I've been going here, regardless of my sensitive skin. I highly recommend this place over the dozens of other barbers in the area that I tried if you want a nice cut.
Haircuts are great and only $20 (it was just $15 until a few weeks ago!). I always get my haircuts here. Gary is fun to talk to and he has a giant Lego Saturn 5 rocket model. I would give 5 stars if he took appointments. On Saturday mornings, you can wait hours to get a hair cut. Don't go Saturday morning!
This shop has been here for a long time- the gentleman who cut my hair took over his share of the business from his father. It's easy to see why this shop has survived over the years: No frills, just a nice haircut from a nice guy at a nice price ($15). I plan on becoming a regular customer as well as recommending this place to friends. Just check their hours, they close early some days and be prepared for cash only.
The owner is a guy named Gary. Very friendly. Nice haircuts. He took it on after his dad, and keeps it running like a more traditional barbershop. Not appointments, or $50 dollar hair stylists. Just good. Decent. Cuts. What more does a guy need?
Sure it's cash only. But it's a small business. Supercuts takes credit cards...but u really want what they are selling?.
Like proper Chinese restaurants, the best barber shops won't take cards.
New to the area so I was hesitant selecting barbers and did a lot of research. This was the first placed I checked out and wow! Really impressed. One barber but he is the jack of all trades. Really clean and crisp cuts. The best part is the price point for the area, $20!! Loyal customer, I’m coming back for all my barber needs!
