Quick Facts About T J Nails
T J Nails has a mix of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. Overall, there are indications of good service and talented nail technicians, but there are also instances of miscommunication, rushed service, and unsatisfactory outcomes.
Starting with the strengths, several customers express satisfaction with the nail technicians' skills. One comment mentions that the nail artist, Anna, replicates requested designs perfectly. Another comment praises the nail art, stating that it exceeded expectations and made the experience enjoyable. These positive experiences showcase the talent and creativity of the nail technicians at T J Nails.
Additionally, the salon is described as clean, which is an essential strength for any nail salon. A clean environment is crucial for maintaining hygiene and preventing the spread of infections. The fact that customers specifically mention the cleanliness of T J Nails suggests that the salon takes cleanliness seriously and provides a pleasant experience for customers.
Another strength mentioned by a customer is the friendly staff. Building a positive rapport with customers is crucial for any service industry, and the fact that T J Nails has friendly staff members indicates that they prioritize customer service. A friendly and welcoming atmosphere can go a long way in ensuring customer satisfaction and building loyalty.
Moving on to weaknesses, there are several instances of miscommunication and dissatisfaction with the end result. One customer mentions that they wanted glitter over a specific color, but the nail technician applied the glitter first. This miscommunication resulted in the customer not getting the exact outcome they desired. Another customer was disappointed when the nail polish did not match the thick turquoise glitter they had chosen from a demo hand. These instances of miscommunication and dissatisfaction indicate a weakness in the salon's ability to accurately understand customer preferences and deliver the desired result.
Another weakness highlighted in the comments is the rushed service. One customer mentions that their manicure felt rushed, and they had to get their nails redone the next day. Rushed service can lead to poor quality and customer dissatisfaction. There is also a mention of the pedicure water being scorching hot, indicating a lack of attention to detail and customer comfort. These instances suggest that T J Nails needs to work on providing more attentive and thorough services.
Furthermore, there are concerns about pricing and the lack of willingness to rectify mistakes. One customer spilled polish on their shoe and still had to pay full price for the service. Another customer expressed disappointment with the overall quality but felt apprehensive about asking for a redo due to the staff's potential negative reaction. These instances indicate a weakness in customer service and a lack of willingness to address customer concerns and rectify mistakes.
In conclusion, T J Nails has a mix of strengths and weaknesses. The strengths include talented nail technicians, clean facilities, friendly staff, and satisfying nail art. However, there are weaknesses in miscommunication, rushed service, dissatisfaction with outcomes, and a lack of willingness to rectify mistakes or accommodate customer concerns. These weaknesses highlight areas for improvement in order to provide a better overall customer experience.

Long review detailing my experience below, but in summary: I have nice looking nails, it wasn't exactly what I wanted, polish was spilled on my pants & shoe, and I was still charged full price. So I ended up with about a $150 bill for my pants and shoes, and another $50 for the nails.
This was my first time trying TJ Nails, and I have mixed feelings because I always want to give people the benefit of the doubt. I usually get gel polish, but have been wanting to try dip to see if I like how it grows out better (i.e. no peeling). I don't even know the lady's name who did my nails, but she was nice enough. On the quiet side, but that doesn't bother me. I showed her the color I wanted and said I wanted that with glitter over a couple of them. As she was doing my nails she ended up dipping one in the the glitter first and I said I wanted the color underneath first, but she said "it's too late." I can see where the miscommunication happened, and next time I will reiterate what I want. My bigger annoyance was that she wasn't willing to fix ONE nail. Yes, I'm sure even one nail is a pain to soak off one coat, but I was truly surprised she wasn't the least bit willing to do it to do what I wanted. All that said, it still turned out looking pretty nice, just not exactly what I wanted. The other thing that happed was that she dropped the activator polish (mistakes happen!), and it splattered on my shoe and pant leg. She did try to clean it off, and I will as well, but I think I was most taken aback that I was still charged full price. I get that mistakes happen, and obviously she didn't spill the polish on purpose, but I also don't know how I would ever charge someone full price after I could clearly tell a customer wasn't fully happy with their nails, and had also ruined their pants, and not-cheap shoes.
I LOVE this place! Just recently started getting my nails done regularly, regular polish peals and gel doesn’t last long, Vickey suggested dip powder! I am forever a dip powder nail person now! They last 2-3 weeks and she even does art on them! Never disappoints! Friendly staff and clean! Had 1 pedicure here and it was pretty good! Had nails done probably 1/month for about 4 months now! Will continue to give them my business!!!
Not a huge fan of this place. I picked a color off the demo hand that was thick turquoise glitter. After 3 coats he was about to put top coat on and I said can you do another coat of glitter. He acted like he was put out for doing another coat but did anyway and then this is what I was left with. NOTHING like the demo, not thick at all and my fingers didn't even match each other. Plus he charged me $60. No thanks won't be back.
Don't go lol. Just don't.
I asked for a black French tip. They looked Ridiculous. The tip was so thick. And you know how are usually pointed or curved... they were straight across. It was like a cone on my finger nail. I went home and painted black over it.
I got a mini pedi and a manicure done (not gel) and I’m very disappointed and feel ripped off. I got french tips on my natural nails, the clear coat was cracking and chipping before I even left the parking lot, but felt as though if I asked them to redo them they would have been very unhappy and done even worse. The whole manicure felt rushed, and I have to get them redone now a day later. Total waste of my money, and I won’t be coming back. My pedicure water was scorching hot, as well as my friend’s and two other customers I heard in the time I was there. Paint job on my pedi seems okay so far. Not how I wanted to prep for a trip down south.
Anna does amazing work!! Every time I ask for a design she replicates it perfectly
Got mani/pedis with nail art for 2 teenagers in my family. The nail art was even better than the samples and the girls had a fun time being pampered. I'll be back.
I LOVE Vicki. She is so much fun to sit and conversate with while getting my nails done, I just let her pick my colors and do her thing and I am NEVER disappointed. Lifetime customer here!!
