2. Delicious food: Many customers praise the taste and quality of the Indian food at The Balti House. Positive comments specifically mention the Lamb Rogan Josh, Kebab Roll, Chicken Tikka Masala, and onion bhaji. 3. Wide variety of options: Customers appreciate the range of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available at The Balti House. This allows for a diverse customer base to enjoy their meals.

5. Reasonable prices: Several comments highlight the affordability of the food at The Balti House compared to other Indian restaurants. This can be a significant advantage, particularly for students or budget-conscious customers.
Weaknesses:
1. Lack of authenticity: One negative comment suggests that The Balti House does not serve authentic Indian cuisine and is more akin to a kebab shop. This can be seen as a weakness, as customers seeking a truly authentic Indian dining experience may be disappointed.
2. Excessive oil: A few comments mention that there is too much oil in the food served at The Balti House. While it is mentioned that this can be avoided by informing the staff in advance, the presence of excessive oil can be a weakness as it affects the overall taste and healthiness of the dishes.
3. Limited seating capacity: One comment states that The Balti House is mainly suitable for takeaways or small groups of two people. This can be considered a weakness as it limits the restaurant's capacity to accommodate larger groups or individuals seeking a dine-in experience.
4. Mixed reviews on the curry: A negative comment describes the curry as being "lamb floating in oil and a thin tomato base." While this may be subjective to individual preferences, it suggests that the curry dishes may not meet everyone's expectations in terms of flavor and consistency.
5. Lack of authenticity for certain dishes: One comment praises the kebab roll and curries but does not specifically mention the authenticity of other Indian dishes. This implies that there may be variations in the quality and authenticity of different menu items offered at The Balti House.
In conclusion, The Balti House has several strengths including good customer service, delicious food, a wide variety of menu options, generous portion sizes, and reasonable prices. However, there are also weaknesses such as a perceived lack of authenticity, excessive oil in some dishes, limited seating capacity, mixed reviews on the curry, and potential variations in authenticity for certain dishes.
Best TL Reviews
If you’re searching for authentic Indian this is NOT the place. It’s kinda like a kebab shop. As I wondered why so many good reviews were left they must all like kebab stuff. The ‘curry’ was basically lamb floating in oil and a thin tomato’s base. Cheap for a reason I guess maybe if I was wasted on a night out it would taste decent
I discovered this place by a pure accident, I checked the 'Kebab Roll' and that was spectacular. I also tested Lamb Rogan Josh - fantastic. Samosas are just right, big and tasty food + nice sauces. Nice atmosphere and excellent customer service. Prices went up a bit, butthe taste still the same. Very much recommended.
Update Nov 2022 - Balti gets tastier. Reserve your Christmas food today.
Update Mar 2023 - still the best Indian takeaway in town.
It was a nice small mini restaurant with amazing Indian food. Mainly good for take away and arrangement for just people in group of 2 can sit.
There were plenty of veg and non veg options. We tried Veg Samosas, Saag Paneer, Dal, Rice and Tandoori. All tasted super delicious. Only thing is there is too much oil in everything. But it can be avoided to some extent, if you say in advance before they start preparing your order.
The quantity of food was too much. The chapatis were large. Everything was served super hot and for left portion of curry, they have a box to pack anf take home(if we want).
Price: Very cheap then other Indian food joints.
A definitely good place for students to eat and take away. I will definitely eat some day again here.
Very Very tasty and traditional Indian cuisine. I ordered the Chicken tikka masala with pilau rice and a side of onion bhaji. If only I had known this restaurant sooner. Chciken was perfectly cooked, sauce well seasoned and onion bhaji came with a complimentary yoghurt and mint sauce. Thank you!
