Quick Facts About The Green Lantern Cafe

The Green Lantern Cafe seems to have several strengths based on the comments provided. Firstly, the café is dog-friendly, which is a big plus for pet owners who want to enjoy a meal with their furry friends. This makes the place more inclusive and welcoming to a wider range of customers. Additionally, the café offers a variety of options for meals, including pasties, side salads, chips, and a mega-breakfast. The menu seems to be very varied, appealing to different tastes and preferences.
Furthermore, the café is praised for its homemade cakes and pastries. The fact that these items are made in-house is a testament to the quality and freshness of the food. This is further emphasized by the mention of fresh bread and meringues available for take-home purchases. Customers appreciate the attention to detail and the effort put into creating delicious treats.
Another strength of The Green Lantern Cafe is the friendly staff. Many visitors make note of the staff's friendliness, using words like "lovely," "chatty," and "welcoming." This positive customer service helps to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, making customers feel comfortable and appreciated.
The café's value for money is also mentioned in the comments. The café is seen as a local gem, where grandparents and great grandparents have shopped in the past, creating a sense of tradition and nostalgia.
Despite these strengths, there are some potential weaknesses that are not evident from the comments provided. One potential weakness could be the limited seating capacity. With only four tables mentioned, it is noted that the café could have filled them twice over. This suggests that the café may struggle to accommodate all its customers during busy periods, potentially leading to longer wait times or customers being turned away.
Another potential weakness could be the lack of mention about the atmosphere or ambiance of the café. While the staff is praised for being friendly, there is no specific comment about the décor or the overall feel of the café. This could indicate that the ambiance may be unremarkable or not a standout feature for customers.
In conclusion, The Green Lantern Cafe has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation. These strengths include being dog-friendly, offering a varied menu, providing homemade cakes and pastries, having friendly staff, and offering good value for money. However, potential weaknesses include limited seating capacity and a lack of mention about the ambiance. Went here for lunch with my dad and Suki (dog friendly ++) and had a pasty, side salad and chips with a yummy coffee, finished off with a minced pie and cream. Definitely recommend ????
This is a lovely little cafe/tea room, with home made cakes and pastries, right in the heart of the town. Friendly staff too, what more could you want?
Great cafe in this Exmoor town. Earn a Gingerbread man by eating their mega- breakfast! Cappuccinos look like Lattes but there is a difference! Very welcoming staff too!
Took my mum and dad here yesterday , they had been a few years ago. Really lovely staff ...chatty and friendly and very tasty jacket potatoes. Fresh bread and meringues to take home ....delicious ????
Excellent all round. Only 4 tables ,could have filled them twice over. Good breakfast, very varied menu and very good value. Will be back
Only went to the bakery for rolls but my goodness I will be back.
On top of the warm friendly welcome the rolls are top notch I've never seen rolls that look a little like scones dusted with flour and oh wow how delicious they are sadly I'm on holiday and won't be back until next April but will be stopping off for sure.
So pleased I bought a selection for my packed lunch tomorrow sad to be going home.
Best pasties in town, simple is always best and amazing value for money. We’re so lucky to have such a lovely independent bakery in our hometown, welcoming so many locals and visitors. Thanks for many childhood memories of all your wonderful treats. How many other towns in the UK can say their grandparents and great grandparents shopped in the same places as I do now. Please don’t ever stop!
Lovely cafe and friendly staff
