5. Previous Positive Experiences: There are a few comments indicating positive experiences at the salon, suggesting that some customers have had satisfying results and believe in the salon's capabilities.
Weaknesses:
1. Inconsistent Quality: Multiple comments mention inconsistencies in the quality of the braiding. Uneven parts, different sizes of braids, and messy finishes indicate a lack of attention to detail and inconsistency in the quality of service.
2. Poor Communication: Some customers noted rude behavior from the salon staff. Additionally, the lack of set prices and the inconsistency in charging customers based on personal judgment indicates poor communication and professionalism.
3. Lack of Training: Comments mention staff members who may be learning on the job or not having proper training. This lack of training can lead to a negative customer experience, as the braiders may not have the necessary skills to provide high-quality services consistently.
4. Tight Braids: Multiple comments mention tight braids that caused discomfort, pain, and bumps on the scalp and neck. This indicates a lack of attention to customer comfort and potential disregard for hair health.
5. Unprofessional Behavior: Comments highlight unprofessional behavior, such as the braider's attitude, throwing objects, huffing, and laughing at customers' dissatisfaction. This behavior creates a negative atmosphere and reflects poorly on the salon.
6. Pricing Inconsistencies: Customers mentioned different prices for similar services, indicating a lack of transparency and fairness in pricing. This inconsistency can lead to customers feeling overcharged and frustrated.
7. Lack of Appointments: Customers mentioned difficulties with scheduling appointments, indicating a lack of organization and time management in the salon.
In conclusion, while African Heritage Hair Braiding Salon has the strength of offering authentic African hair braiding styles and potential skillful braiders, it faces several weaknesses including inconsistent quality, poor communication, lack of training, tight braids causing discomfort, unprofessional behavior, inconsistent pricing, and difficulties with appointments. These weaknesses may deter customers and impact the salon's reputation.

The girl that did my hair in an updo cornrow braided it so tight I couldn’t even turn my head I tried everything to loosen it up and nothing worked so I had to end it taking it out on the third day!!! $100 later!!!! Not to mention I went in for one style and the style was totally different from what I expected!!! I’m never going back there again!!!!! Good customer gone!!! By the way the tight braids made bumps in my head and neck!!!!
Well I hadn't been to them in a long time. And I got an updo and my granddaughter got two cornrows and now the back of my neck has bumps and the young lady got mad cause my granddaughter hair wasn't right the first time. And my daughter had said they did a updo for 50.00 and mine cost 100.00 and with a design it
would have been 160. I am kinda disappointed on how it looks some braids are not the same I wanted to have my hair done cause my birthday is coming up. But one thing about I didn't like her attitude and how she was huffing and that she was throwing stuff around. I wanted to get my hair redone or get half of my money back. The style name was Princess. I went back cause I called to get my updo redone. They had the nerve to ask for an extra 30.00. Then she used a lighter to burn the weave but my natural hair is in it. Now I'm going to post the pictures of my hair and the way wanted wanted it.
Now I typically go to a cousin to get 2 braids however I decided to go here...how do you make a mess of two braids. I got pieces sticking out. The majority of my sides are gelled down. They are very thin sitting close together at the top. Everyone in this shop can not braid so watch who can do what. Glad I didn't waist a lot of time or $. Now I got to wash my hair and style myself. Come on people this is your craft...SMH.
It was gud just didn't like dat she used so much edge control all over my head which turned white all in my hair
First I had to wait for them to walk back to the store. There was 3 people on my head. All my braids are different sizes. I ask for square parts and they have all different kind of parts in my head that are not straight. The lady laughed when I got in the mirror and said I didn’t like it. It’s not full at all. I asked for a refund. I paid them $190 before I even seen it. My hair already started unraveling after I paid almost $200!!! This is the worse experience I’ve ever had ! They were rude. Untimely. Not good at knotless braids. Very hard on your head. Very aggressive in your head. I do not recommend!!!!!! I will never go back !! $190 and I had to take my hair out the same day !!
So this was not my first visit to this shop, this is actually my 4th visit. It was a very big mistake this time around what was suppose to be knottless box braids, and I was still charged $180. It looks like someone who is still in training did my knottless box braids. My appointment was scheduled for 9:30 a.m the one that was suppose to be doing my hair didn't arrive til 10:30 a.m. Will I refer anyone here, "No!" I will not, keep your hard earned money and go pay a professional hair stylist because this place is not it!!! I would've gave them no stars but in order to give a review you have to give a star......just terrible my money and my time wasted!!!! I'm very disappointed in this shop smh????????????????
No set prices staff not trained learning as they go Messy business It seems to be a call before you come no appointments guaranteed may or may not be a professional stylist everyone sharing store brand products no one has their own supplies do not talk to customers watching tv on their phones
I’ve been to this place on several occasions. I loved it. They are very rude though, when you are paying them your money. They charged me fifty dollars to braid my hair straight back. 10 to wash it. My only problem is my brother went the week before to get his down and it was thirty. She said his hair wasn’t like mine. BUT she was gonna charge me 40 to put in fake hair. There was no fake hair put in, so it should’ve been less, not more. They also have no prices set. My point being, they charge people upon how they feel that day, not fairly.
