Quick Facts About Awa’s African Hair Braiding
Awa's African Hair Braiding place receives a mix of positive and negative comments, which can be used to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the establishment.
Starting with the strengths, it is evident that some customers have had positive experiences with the salon. One customer mentions that they always get compliments on their braids and that Little Awa, in particular, does an excellent job with knotless braids. This highlights the skill and expertise of some of the staff members at the salon. Additionally, another customer mentions that they had their hair done quickly and efficiently, and they love their braids. This suggests that the salon is capable of providing efficient service without compromising on quality.
Another strength of Awa's African Hair Braiding place is the longevity of its business. One customer states that they have been a customer for over 20 years and have never been dissatisfied with their hair experience. This demonstrates that the salon has built a reputation for providing satisfactory services over a long period of time, which indicates consistency and customer loyalty.
However, there are also several weaknesses identified in the comments. One common complaint is about the lack of consistency in the quality of service provided. For example, one customer mentions that they had a disappointing experience with their hair braiding for their college graduation. They state that the parts were not straight and the braids were braided into each other. This suggests a lack of attention to detail and inconsistency in the skill level of the staff members. Additionally, the customer highlights that one of the stylists was great while the other was awful, indicating a lack of uniformity in the quality of work within the salon.
Another weakness mentioned by customers is the issue of pricing. One customer mentions that they were quoted one price before arrival but were charged a higher amount upon completion of their braids. This inconsistency in pricing can lead to customer dissatisfaction and a sense of being deceived. Additionally, another customer mentions that they were quoted one price for their hairstyle but asked to pay a higher amount at the end. This inconsistency in pricing can create confusion and leave customers feeling taken advantage of.
Furthermore, there are complaints about the treatment of customers during the braiding process. One customer mentions that their hair was ripped while parting, indicating a lack of care and gentleness during the braiding process. This can lead to discomfort and potential hair damage, which is a significant weakness in the salon's service.
In conclusion, Awa's African Hair Braiding place has strengths such as skilled and efficient stylists, customer loyalty, and quick service. However, there are weaknesses in terms of inconsistent quality of work, pricing issues, and poor treatment of customers during the braiding process. These weaknesses need to be addressed in order to improve customer satisfaction and ensure a positive experience for all customers.

I got my hair done for ny college graduation. I was very very disappointed. The parts were not straight and the braids were braided into each other. There were 2 ladies that did my hair. One was great and so was her work. The other one was awful ???? ???? I will not be going back!
Awas is slacking badly I paid $290 for my trust and they are not the side she showed to me on the size chart. They are not as neat as exp bigger in the back ected. They made my parts much bigger in the back. They didn't twist them to the very end so some are coming lose. They were ripping my hair while parting trying to pull hair from the ponytail instead of taking it down. . They are not worth the money and I will not be going back
Great braids...
Requested cornrows into a bun. Was quoted
at $120 before arrival. Lady finishes my hair I paid the $120 then told me it was $140. Reason for the increase was because stylist placed my bun on the top instead of the back.
REALLY???
Tried them a second time quoted 150 for cornrows but asked to pay 170 at the
end.
I’ve been going to Awa for knotless and must say they do an excellent job. Little Awa always does my braids and I always get compliments. They are not cheap but you get what you pay for. I would recommend them all day. Be on time but do expect to wait.
Awas has always done top notch work for many years. I have been a customer for 20+ years and never dissatisfied about my hair experience.
First time at Awa's the staff was very nice and hair was done in only 3 1/2 hours.... Box braids..I was told to arrive early at 10am ...no waiting
Got in and out as a walk-in; prior to arrival made call to check price for 3 fishtails. Price was reasonable, and the hair braiding was tolerable being tender headed as I am. A new customer for that location, and will return again if needing fishtails.
Quick, efficient, and immaculate. I love my braids. Thank you, Awa!
