Jimmie has the worst fade. My husband is embarrassed to be seen in public atm. The barber also would not stop talking trash about his coworkers and clients. Go hear if you want your business blasted everywhere. So unprofessional.
I was looking for a barber close by and found this one. I didn't want anything fancy but I got a perfect haircut first time. The inside looks like it's being rearranged or remodeled so I wasn't sure if they were open when I walked in, but BW gets 5 stars anyway for service.
Never again went to start my dreads wasn't to please the first time she uses to much gel cake up in your hair, went back a second time, ask her was she going to wash it before starting no she tells me no need to wash your hair when starting dreads so she cakes more gel in already dirty hair. And speaking of dirty the place is filthy mirrors are all smeared floors nasty needs to be swept and mop had dirty filthy mop in the floor flies flying all around.
BW’s is the pulse of the neighborhood. I like BW as a person too. I didn’t get my hair cut there, but was there to talk about revitalizing South Lansing.
I am so very disappointed and mad right now. My 11 year old son got his hair cut here and the barbers hair cut resulted in cuts and scraps all around his entire hair line, even behind his ears (360 degrees around his head). I had to clean his skin with an antiseptic cleaner and apply Neosporin. He's going to have healing scraps all over his head as he goes to a basketball tournament tomorrow. Then a lady was recommended to do his braids and after arriving 20 minutes late, she charged $50 to put 9 braids in just the top of his hair. My son said both stylist very "kinda rough". I expected much better from this shop. It has history and legacy here in Lansing and I thought that would have been reflected in my sons hair. It does not! I guess it goes along with the other football defeats of the day. I can honestly say that I am done.
I have made an appointment with one of their hair stylist Brittany and as of today I will no longer be working with for my services of getting my hair done I have made appointment with her today at 11 o’clock I was on time I get in the chair she starts braiding my hair to take it down and tell me she doesn’t know how to do the hairstyle I asked for after me sending a picture prior to the night before she tells me she can do it I had to get a babysitter and today is my birthday and now I have to find someone to do my hair this was very bad business for the shop and her I wasted my gas and my time and my money because she ruined a pack of hair that I have to go back and buy if I want to get my hair done she cut one of the bundles of braiding hair I don’t know who the owner is but if you are reading this please reach out because once again this is very bad business and I would not recommend or anyone else to go here luckily I did not pay her yet and last time she did my hair she did not do the style I want it and just told me to pay her $100 because she knew she did not do the style I want it
