I've gotten this hair 3 times now. The first two times the hair was good/decent. This last time this batch shedded soooooooo bad and was thin as ever. Not to mention it itches sooo bad and is irritating my scalp. Not sure what's up with this.
I gave 4 stars because the hair is great but it did shed my first install. I put weft sealer on it my second install and it’s been perfect. I have deep wave And will be trying the body wave next time
First and foremost, I've been coming here for my bundles since 2015. Last few times this year when I called to make a pickup arrangement. New employees have been telling me prices that differ from what I was previously told by the owner. Also, I recently visited the new location before 7 p.m., and when I arrived at 6:45 p.m., no one was there. Furthermore, the location in the photograph differs from where the map directed me, but the logo remained on the window. I am disappointed because I am handling a wedding in a hurry.
I’ve been purchasing from El/ True Essence for over 5 years I’m sure. I was going to the original location on Boulevard prior to them moving to the west end. Both are nowhere near my home. The hair WAS such great quality I was willing to drive. I purchased 4 bundles of wet and wavy hair and I must say this is the worst hair I’ve EVER purchased from any hair vendor. It sheds soooooo much! I’m sure I’ve lost a bundle of hair just from the shedding. Hair is everywhere. I’m unsure If I’ll continue purchasing from him/them again…
I bought some hair from here a few weeks back on a Saturday, first they were out of the length I wanted. So I had to get 18inch bundles, after the second install I noticed the hair got very nappy! And hard to maintain, this is not worth my money or time to shop here! The hair is only good for the first initial install. After that you will have problems!!! I have purchased from here in the past, getting deep wave hair I had no problems! But the straight was only available so I had to get it. I’m very disappointed in the quality and essesive shedding!!!! Looks like I will be headed to true glory from here on out!!!!!
After having several bad experiences with hair from True Glory, someone introduced me to True Essence. I brought my first 4 bundles back in December 2015. I brought 2 for me and 2 for my daughter. We still have and still wear our very first bundles that we purchased. The hair is so soft, full, and barely shredded at all. The length was a true 18 inches unlike True Glory. I purchase 4 more bundles December 2016 and I still have my same sew-in and my hair is still thick and wavy and looks brand new. If my hair gets oily, I wash my hair with Dawn dish detergent and the hair goes right back to its original texture. I do believe that some bundles can be bad because my last 6 from True Glory matted up every time I turned my head left and right leaving it looking like a birds nest in the back of my head but I have never received a bad bundle of hair from True Essence yet. I decided to write this review because I see all the negative comments on here so I wanted to share my own personal experience with everyone. Not only is the hair good but the prices are very reasonable as well. I have referred several friends to this place and they all converted from True Glory customers to True essence customers. Thank you for providing us another option besides True Glory!
Thanks,
Monique
I will not be purchasing hair from True Essence again. The hair sheds and tangles horrible. I’ve shopped with them 3x, the first time I supposedly had a “bad batch” of body wave according to the owner and he offered to give me $10 off each bundle my next purchase, which was nothing because that’s the “sale” they do anyway. My second purchase a year later, I decided to give them another try getting straight hair since that texture with any company is known to not shed as much and should be more manageable. I was satisfied with that purchase, was able to use it for 3 installs. My recent purchase was my 3rd time, I needed hair immediately so I decided to go with them instead of the company I normally shop with online. The hair (straight texture) was nice the first week and I even dm’d them showing it, but boy was I wrong, it tangled and shedded horribly after that first week. So those bundles didn’t even last one install. I didn’t bother to contact them again, because it’s clear that no matter what texture, they just have bad hair. I spent about $240 on that hair just for it to be taken right back out. And to let it be known the hair wasn’t dyed, bleached, nor were the wefts cut. Anyways, shop with hair from prissy, her hair is fire , black owned ATL based, the company is just online though.
Love this hair! I’ve been wearing it for years, never had an issue. Best hair with the best prices
