While I was shopping 4 workers stood at the counter & watched my every move like a hawk. Really disgusting feeling being watched like that. Also, if you’re gonna follow me aisle to aisle it’ll be easier if you just hold my hand. & if 4 of you are going to stare at me from the counter at least provide basic customer service & ask me if I need help looking for anything so I can get to it quicker. It would make it easier on all us. I PAID for my items & left but the feeling of being stereotyped is uncomfortable. Absolutely unnecessary for all 4 workers to stare at my every move in silence. DO BETTER.
This store is run by racists. Which isn’t surprising but every time I’m forced to go there, the owner follows me around. Today, he decided not only to follow me but also to stand by the entrance I guess to catch me if I tried to leave the store? They also placed displays at the entrance in such a way that it is actually a fire hazard. It’s super disappointing how they don’t even talk to customers and treat us like thieves. Just because you serve a Black customer base. Save your money and visit the Blk owned stores in the neighborhood
It's overpriced here, if in a rush for hair needs and didn't order online then I'll come here. It's on the 4th floor of the mall
Chinese man looked me the whole time in the store..... barely anything in there no greeting just looks lucky I didn't wanna make a extra trip cause I would have took my money elsewhere....
I was racially profiled. The owner followed me over the whole store. I asked him questions about moisturizer creams for the face since he was following me and watching my every movement. I had picked up a wig detangeling spray. I decided not to get it and put it on a neighboring shelf before I went to the cashier with the other items I decided to buy. The owner comes up to me while buying my items and ask me where is the wig spray I had. I pointed to the shelf. I would give this place a negative star if I could. I'm 39 years old. I use to shop at this store when I was younger. Heceas rude and racially profiling me the whole time at this store. He was rude. I will never shop here again.
Was some what disappointed with this store. For the size of the store there isles were kept neat, however I didn't appreciate the stranger trying to follow me around the store. So when I approached the front counter and asked the cashier dose the guy work here because I need help she said no? (Humm?) So I asked her to show me a product and she took me to the back and what I saw was distrububg, the way they had this display. She informed me that was all they had, I shook my head, It truly is sad because this is a trillion dollar market in beauty products and for store to display product in such a poor fashion is beyond me. I asked to speak with the manager but he was on break. I took my business esle where.

I will never shop here again. I've lived in downtown Silver Spring for 5 years so I have frequented this store a handful of times. Once before the store owner (I believe it was) made me feel uncomfortable to freely walk around the store. This past week proved to me why I stopped spending money there. Soon as I walked in the man came from behind the cash register and just so happen to pop up right next to me while I picked out some items I needed that were closer to the back of the store. And then in the aisle right across from me and then again right beside me...oh and then around the corner he comes again. All while never once asking me if I needed assistance. He just leisurely picked up random items so he could be within eyesight of me. Unfortunately, I am all too familiar with this as a minority, so I decided to take my money elsewhere. Sad because African Americans are likely what keeps this place in business.
