Quick Facts About Bintou African Hair Braiding

Bintou African Hair Braiding place, based on the comments provided, has both strengths and weaknesses that can be evaluated.
Starting with the strengths, it is evident that the stylists at Bintou African Hair Braiding are skilled at their craft. Many customers mentioned being satisfied with the results of their hair braiding. This indicates that the braiders have the ability to create beautiful and well-done hairstyles, which is an important strength for any hair braiding business. Additionally, one customer commented positively on the preservation of their edges, suggesting that the stylists are careful and mindful of the clients' hair health.
Another potential strength is the affordability of the services at Bintou African Hair Braiding. The comments did not mention any issues with the pricing or excessive costs. This could be viewed as a positive aspect, as customers appreciate receiving quality services at a reasonable price.
Moving on to the weaknesses, the most prevalent issue mentioned by multiple customers is the lack of professionalism and customer service. Several comments highlight the rudeness and lack of respect displayed by the staff, particularly the owner, towards customers. This is a significant weakness as good customer service is essential for the success and reputation of a business. Customers should feel welcomed, comfortable, and respected when they visit a hair salon or braiding place, and it seems that Bintou African Hair Braiding fails to provide these aspects.
Another major weakness is the overall unprofessionalism of the establishment. Customers stated that the shop is not clean, with one commenter even mentioning a foul odor. It is important for any hair braiding place to maintain a clean and hygienic environment to ensure the well-being of both the clients and the staff. Additionally, customers were dissatisfied with the lack of punctuality. Bintou African Hair Braiding does not open on time, causing clients to wait for hours or sit in their cars before being attended to. This creates a negative experience for customers and indicates a lack of respect for their time.
Other weaknesses mentioned in the comments include the absence of appointments and the reliance on walk-in customers. A few customers expressed frustration with the long wait times and suggested that implementing an appointment system would improve the overall experience for customers. Additionally, the lack of hygiene practices, such as sanitizing combs and equipment, raises concerns about the overall cleanliness and safety protocols followed by the establishment.
To overcome these weaknesses and improve the overall customer experience, Bintou African Hair Braiding should prioritize professionalism and customer service. This could involve training the staff in proper communication, providing a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring cleanliness throughout the shop. Implementing an appointment system or hiring more staff could also help alleviate the long wait times and improve overall efficiency.
In conclusion, Bintou African Hair Braiding possesses strengths in terms of the quality of their braiding work and affordability. However, the weaknesses surrounding the lack of professionalism, customer service, cleanliness, and punctuality are significant areas that need improvement in order for the business to thrive and retain customers.

Don’t even waste your time or money. There are no appointments, you will be skipped in line for walk ins, the staff is argumentative and unprofessional if I could give 0 stars I would. Wasted 6 hours of sitting and waiting just to confront the owner about my spot in line and get attitude, yelled at and she called me her child for saying something back. HUGE WASTE OF TIME I bet they won’t stay open much longer????
I was so disappointed with my service here I asked for something so simple and bintu was very rude when I walked in on the phone not even paying attention and rushing me out of the chair after I came to sit and pay my money to get a service. They are always late and nasty the way they treat their customers like we should feel welcomed and comfortable to get our hair done I am so hurt with the way she talked to me. I will NEVER send another person here again!
Very rude, no greeting, and always on her phone! I’m talk about the owner. She has an attitude problem and very nasty!
They always do a very good job braiding my hair. I'm always satisfied with the results. Only negative is they don't come at start time of 9:30. They should really change their start time. Other than that my hair always looks good when they are done. My edges are also in tact when I take out my braids. Edges matter.
They have done some of the best braids I've had. Unfortunately, they don't respect customers time, they don't provide a clean environment and they don't provide any type of customer service. They talk on their phones. One girl cut a braid while trimming strays on my daughters hair. Luckily it was not her hair that was accidentally cut, but I made her get off the phone until she finished. They come late, leave early and don't value customers. I think they think they're the only game in town. They don't wash combs or their hands for that matter. They have talent, I just wish they would value their customers.
Bintu needs to change their policy. Go by appointments and open the shop on time . People have to sit in their car from 6am just to be one of the first to get their hair done. Hire more people, go by appointments and you will get more customers and open on time. Showing up 3 hours later is not professional. All hair especially synthetic needs to be included in the price stop charging $10 for hair it don’t cost that much in the store.
They don't take appointment's the wait is too long, and they don't open the shop on time, they supposed to open at 9:00 but the ladies don't get there hours later. Overall nice place to get your hair braided but not professional as far as business operations.
I have to agree with everyone else, the service is absolutely horrible. They do ok work within a decent time frame (3 hours for waist length twists). But the shop is filthy, the girls act as if you are a bother, & they are CONSTANTLY on their phone. Worst of all it smells like old garbage, the stench is unbearable. I was asking basic questions since it was my first time there and they were so annoyed. Go elsewhere if you can. I did not see any signs that they sanitize their combs/equipment.
