This highlights the salon's commitment to providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming and friendly environment.
4. Quality results: Customers express their satisfaction with the quality of the nails they received at Clay Nails. This suggests that the salon is capable of delivering the desired results to its customers.
5. Positive community impact: One customer mentions that Clay Nails does a lot for the community, and they appreciate the salon's efforts. This indicates that Clay Nails is involved in community engagement and is recognized for its contributions.
Weaknesses:
1. Inconsistency in service: One customer who used to be a loyal customer for several years mentions that the service dropped in quality when new owners took over. They mention rushed services and being charged extra without any refund. This suggests that there may be inconsistencies in the level of service at Clay Nails, which can result in customer dissatisfaction.
2. Inability to fulfill customer requests: One customer states that Clay Nails did not give them the desired ombre nails and that they received a bad paint job on crooked nails. This indicates that the salon may struggle at times to fulfill specific customer requests, resulting in disappointment and customer loss.
3. Pricing concerns: One customer mentions being charged $50 for a pedicure but feeling unsatisfied with the minimal work done. They expected more treatments, such as scrubs and callus removal, as described but did not receive them. This suggests that there may be pricing discrepancies and a lack of transparency in services provided, which can diminish customer trust and satisfaction.
4. Lack of amenities: While one positive comment mentions being offered bottled water and snacks during their visit, it is not clear if this is a consistent practice at Clay Nails. Other comments do not mention any additional amenities. This indicates that the salon may not consistently provide extra amenities or perks to enhance the customer experience, possibly impacting customer satisfaction.
In conclusion, Clay Nails has several strengths that include positive customer experiences, attention to detail, excellent customer service, and quality results. However, the salon also has weaknesses such as inconsistencies in service, inability to fulfill specific requests, pricing concerns, and a lack of consistent extra amenities. Addressing these weaknesses could further improve the overall customer experience at Clay Nails.

I'm not kidding when I say this is the best manicure experience I've had.
The shape may not be my style, but I had never tried it before so that's on me. This is the first time I've left a shop with what I asked for at a reasonable price ($45 before tip which is good for Upstate NY). Not only are the nails not chunky, they don't have any of the clumps under them that I've gotten at numerous other locations. If you're in Oswego, it is worth the drive down.
P.S. my middle finger looks irritated around the edge due to my own picking habits, not due to the technician.
Teresa did my nails! It was my first experience at Clay Nails, my first time getting dip and I absolutely loved it! Turned out exactly like the photo! Definitely worth the time and money. I came from Oswego too! My daughter was loving hers too! My mom got a beautiful purple dip and is in love with the quality!
So glad I found Katie and Clay nails! I remember her from her time in Oswego. She does an amazing job. My husband and I have a vacation tradition of getting our nails done and pedicures! We were there for two hours and enjoyed every minute. We never felt rushed and they certainly pay attention to detail. During our time they offered us bottled water and snacks. Who does that? They just go the extra mile. I highly recommend them!
I have been going to clay nails for years until I moved down south with my husband to his army base. My husband and I came back to NY to visit and get my nails done and the new owners were beyond kind and made us feel at home again. A nice woman who was also getting her nails done paid for my husbands manicure and the staff were also very generous to us as well. We are so beyond happy with our service and I recommend clay nails to all my friends and family and everyone else looking to come. Thanks so much clay nails for all that you do for the community! Will be visiting every time we are able to come home on leave!!
Jackson did such an uh-may-zing job on both mani and pedi. Felt like talking to an old friend I hadn’t seen in a while, and the attention to detail was excellent. I can tell he definitely takes pride in his work—those calloused hands don’t lie.
I would not recommend this place. My friend and I tried this place and I was very disappointed. The pedicure was $50 and I can’t believe the minimal work that was done. Cold bath water, minimal scrubbing, no callus removal even though it was in the description, barely any maintenance done, and that was it. I have had a LOT of pedicures and they didn’t do much and no salts, scrubs, or barely any lotion. I went to get a spa treatment and a nice pedicure when I guess I could have done better at home, very disappointing. I can’t believe the poor quality. The color was nice and the paint job was decent with a design and that’s it. DO NOT recommend, wish I could get my money back.
WAS a religious customer who went every 2-3 weeks for the last 4 years. When the new owners took over the services got rushed. The atmosphere has changed. I was charged 10$ more for my nails then I should have. No refund issued. After that I left and never returned.. highly disappointed.
Did not give me what I wanted. I wanted ombre but got nothing but bad paint job on crooked nails, never going back again, don't waste your money
