Quick Facts About Crown Gas Station
Crown Gas Station, located on the corner of 193 and 564, has a mix of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. In terms of strengths, it is important to highlight that the gas station allows local groups to fundraise on their property. This demonstrates their support for the community and willingness to collaborate with local organizations. Additionally, the gas station offers easy access back onto the main road, Greenbelt Rd, despite its lack of direct access. This is beneficial for customers who may be in a hurry or simply need to get back on their route quickly.
Another strength mentioned is the convenience store located within the gas station. It offers a variety of products such as snacks, chips, motor oil, propane exchange, race car fuel, and even has a Big Ticket lotto payout. Furthermore, the store sells beer and wine from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., providing customers with a wide selection during their working hours. The comment suggesting that they have the "coldest beer this side of PG County" indicates that they prioritize customer satisfaction when it comes to their products.
Additionally, the gas station is praised for its good prices, especially for off-road diesel and kerosene. This is advantageous for customers who may require these particular types of fuel. The availability of these products demonstrates a level of diversification and accommodating the needs of different customers.
However, there are also weaknesses that should be taken into account. One major complaint is the customer service experience. Multiple comments highlight issues with certain employees, particularly an older man with glasses. The complaints mention his negative attitude, tendency to stare, and being deliberately rude to customers, neighbors, and coworkers. This indicates a recurring problem that the management should address promptly to improve the overall customer experience.
Another weakness is the lack of proper functioning pumps. A customer complained that they had to go inside to pay because the pumps were not working properly. Furthermore, it is mentioned that a couple of pumps have been out of service recently. This could inconvenience customers and potentially lead to longer wait times or having to find alternative gas stations.
The surrounding area of the gas station is described as a little unkept, and the layout is mentioned as being tricky. This can pose challenges when larger vehicles, such as work trucks, come in to fuel up, as they could block access to several pumps. It is essential for the management to consider improving the layout and ensure a smoother flow of traffic within the gas station premises.
In conclusion, Crown Gas Station has some notable strengths, such as community involvement through allowing local groups to fundraise and offering easy access back onto the main road. The convenience store within the gas station provides a wide range of products, including beer and wine, and offers good prices for off-road diesel and kerosene. However, weaknesses include the recurring customer service issues with certain employees, malfunctioning pumps, an unkept surrounding area, and a tricky layout that can cause inconvenience for customers. Addressing these weaknesses promptly can help enhance the overall customer experience at Crown Gas Station.

The old bald guy with glasses has an attitude and likes to stare. When you ask him what he's staring at, he just looks away without saying anything. There are other people complaining about him here too.
Edit: The owner claims it's a language barrier, but the employee I'm talking about speaks perfect English and wears volunteer fire department clothing at times. This employee has been deliberately rude to me, my neighbors, and coworkers in the past. It's no accident.

Nice people own this gas station. They allow local groups to fund raise on their property. Even though the location does not have direct access ton and from the main road (Greenbelt Rd), it does provide easy access back on to Greenbelt Road.
If I could put zero stars I would. Terrible customer service. The lady that served behind the counter was very mean and unpleasant to me. No smile, no "have a nice day" . She acted like she didn't even want to serve me. The pumps were not working properly and I had to go inside to pay. Crown lost a customer. Never going back.
Conveniently located on the corner of 193 and 564 but the surrounding area is a little unkept, the layout is a little tricky so when a work truck or other large vehicle comes in to fuel up, they block access to several pumps. Also a couple pumps have been out of service recently.
