Quick Facts About Hilltop Barber Shop
Hilltop Barber Shop has been in the area for a long time, which can be seen as a strength. It suggests that the establishment has built a loyal customer base over the years and has managed to stay in business despite competition. The old lady at the reception is also mentioned as being very good, indicating that the customer service aspect of the shop is strong.
The Indian style Gundu/Mottai/Head shave service is highlighted as being done professionally, showcasing a skill or specialization that sets the shop apart from others in the area. This could be a significant strength if there is a demand for this particular service.
The presence of a young barber who excels at Mexican style haircuts is mentioned as another strength. The barber's energy and expertise in this style can attract customers who are looking for a unique and specific type of haircut.
One recommendation from a customer is to install entertainment equipment like a TV or FM radio to improve the mood setting for customers during their haircuts. This suggestion could enhance the overall experience and make it more enjoyable for customers, potentially increasing customer satisfaction.
However, there are also several weaknesses highlighted by customers. One recurring complaint is the lack of consistency in pricing. Customers mention that the price for a haircut seems to change frequently, from $15 to $18 to $20 within a short period of two months. This lack of clear and consistent pricing can create confusion and dissatisfaction among customers. The suggestion is made that the shop should have one fixed price, which is understandable and fair to customers.
Another common complaint is regarding the quality of some barbers' work. One customer reports a horrible haircut from a new barber, indicating that the skills and experience of some barbers may not be up to par. This negative experience can significantly impact the shop's reputation and customer satisfaction.
There is also a complaint about the barber being careless and rushing through a haircut, resulting in an uneven and poorly executed style. This lack of attention to detail and lack of concern for the final result can contribute to customer dissatisfaction and may potentially drive customers away.
Furthermore, it is mentioned that the shop only accepts cash, which can be inconvenient for customers who prefer to pay with other methods. This limitation in payment options may deter potential customers from choosing this barber shop over others that accept a wider range of payment methods.
Lastly, there is a comment suggesting that the barber holding scissors appears sketchy, leading to a loss of reputation for the shop. This dissatisfaction with the barber's appearance and professionalism can negatively impact the shop's image and deter potential customers.
In conclusion, while Hilltop Barber Shop has strengths such as its longstanding presence, a skilled receptionist, and expertise in Indian and Mexican style haircuts, it also suffers from weaknesses including inconsistent pricing, variable quality of haircuts, limited payment options, and negative perceptions of some barbers. Addressing these weaknesses could help the shop improve its reputation and overall customer satisfaction.

Very old Barber shop in this entire area. The old lady is very good on reception. Indian style Gundu / Mottai/ Head shave is done very professionally. But you have to get appointment for the same. Mexican style hair cutting is famous with one barber and he is young with lot of energy. Anyway you will enjoy the shop.
Suggest to install any entertainment equipment like TV/FM Radio to make sure none of the customer feels bad on mood setting while haircut.
This place has decent barbers working but lacks business ethics as the price for hair cut changes everytime I go there from $15 to $18 and now $ 20 within two months.
The ship should have one price which is understandable.
Recently visited. Worst horrible haircut. Old barber man gone to india so had to sit with a new barber who dont know how to use and which tool to use.very bad experience.
I recently visited this salon on January 31 in the evening and was extremely disappointed. Barbar was care less and rushed my hair cut, taking only 3 mins to complete it without any concern of final result or ensuring my hair was evenly leveled. **** Plan it elsewhere.
FYI - only cash and 20% increased their charges from year 2023.
My son got very good haircut. I like that it was very even. It was a beatiful bowl cut. I’m going to bring both them next time. Though the fade made me laugh yaar
I get my hair cut only here, you can always sign up for a convenient time for me, and I always have no time for household chores or work.
Lost its reputation. Very bad hair cut. Looks like barber holding scissors is sketchy. Never again.
My friend Natwarlal is great barber. Good hands especially if you want a boldy clean shave..and good prices compare to the rest of barber shops in this area
