Excellent haircut but more expensive than anywhere I’ve ever been! I paid 65 for a something assumed would’ve been no more than 40 anywhere els taper line up/beard shape up with razor consult price before doing anything as I should have done!! Good costumer service I just wish they would have told me the price prior to getting cut as I came in on appointment.
I made 2 appointments for my step son and grandson last Saturday afternoon. I confirmed an hour before, as requested. There was a few minute wait - very normal. Joel brought us chilled water while we waited, nice touch. My step son showed a picture of the cut he wanted - some actor from a TV show. That
's exactly what he got. He looked super, and was super happy. He also got a hot towel-strait razor shave (first time for him). His comments: super enjoyable, maybe getting a time or two per year, definitely worth trying if you've never had one. Grandson (age 13) went first. He didn't have a specific hair cut in mind. He came out looking better than he went in. We also got him his first hot towel shave. The barbers made this an enjoyable introduction to shaving for him. Overall, I highly recommend VIP Barber Salon, and either Joel or his staff. A couple of them are happy to work in English, Spanish, or French.
First time in and Talia killed it. Suggested a cut for me as I didn't really know what to get and she gave me a fade, loved it. Also got a hot towel shave, best I've ever had. Worth every penny.
I had an amazing experience! The shop is very clean! The barbers are extremely experienced. They took there time to cut my hair and my sons hair and made sure that we were happy with it. I am very impressed and will suggest them to anyone in need of a haircut.
I am currently in the Military. I moved to WA almost a year ago. When I got here I really had a hard time looking for a good barber. I found Joel VIP Barber Salon and since then they are my Barber Shop to go. I am very satisfied with their service and highly recommended. Best barber shop in town!!!
Called ahead 10 mins and got in for an appointment ASAP with Thalia. She was great! She took her time to perfect my shadow taper fade which turned out great. Will definitely be coming back, highly recommend giving them a try if you need a cut. Good vibez and super professional.
I've been coming here for a few months now and have always had Josè cut my hair. His fades are tight, super clean, and well finished. He takes his time and has an obvious passion for his craft. Joel and Josè are some of the best around. 5 Stars
Poor communication skills by Joel. I had an appointment scheduled and went in the day of to find out he was cutting somebody else during the time I booked him. I should also mention that I spoke with him on the phone when scheduling and explicitly said I wanted him to do the job to which he said he would do it. I tried to reschedule when I went in while he was cutting somebody during the time I scheduled an appointment but he acted as if he didn’t have any time that week. Overall, unreliable barbershop. I went in to get a cut before this incident and it was decent at best. I had to give clear directions on the lineup. The fade was okay given one side was more faded than the other. If you want to pay $35-50 for a haircut, I suggest going somewhere else. This is the price for adults. Unsure about younger ages, etcetera.
Edit: Joel offered a woman barber AFTER I scheduled an appointment. I explicitly mentioned I wanted him to cut my hair and fix a spot to which he agreed. He didn’t go through with it, however. This is when I said, “I’m good” and proceeded to walk out in disappointment. Also, no appointment was offered for the following week. Joel is not lying when he says he doesn’t refuse service. However, Joel is disingenuous to the fact that he exhibited poor communication skills and unwanted treatment upon a customer who was in good standing with him before the incident. So again, go get your moneys worth somewhere else cause this barbershop isn’t it.
