John's Barber shop is by far best place I've ever had pleasure of having spent money at for a haircut. This establishment is geared for the military personnel and is frequented by those in services including our own police officers and firefighters here in Des Moines. That being said the employees are always friendly and courteous from the moment you walk into the door until the time you leave. The individual who cuts my hair by the name of Doreen is by far hands down the best I've ever had cut my hair in my entire life and really does she ever use a pair of clippers until it's at the very end when she's just cleaning up a hair line and such. Unfortunately I do not know the name of the other lady who has cut my hair there but she is always done an excellent job as well I've never heard a complaint from any other person who's been in there about a haircut or goes there to get their haircut it's always the same quick courteous sufficient very professional all the time and appreciate it not only that as far as I'm concerned the haircut works out to be under $15 and that's what the taxes and no tip I was just very well for those people who know how to do their job and so I always make sure to keep them extremely well here because they are 100% worth it

The Barbers are Best here! Cut, Trim, Flat top. They do it all. Great experience and personal.
Fantastic! Just the best place you could find! I have been going there since 1998 and they are pretty much the only people that ever cut my hair and I am never dissatisfied. Pam does a mean flat top and she is number one I in my book. I've had haircuts at many other places at other times in my life and nothing compares. Those girls rock.
Very good haircut I received. They do not take credit or debit cards, only cash.
As always for many years, the service is great they know you when you walk in the door by your first name and you know them too. Almost like family
