The barbers at Kentucky Wildcuts are also praised for their experience and expertise. Commenters mention that they are experienced barbers who take their time and do not rush through haircuts. This indicates that they have a high level of skill and attention to detail, which is important in delivering high-quality haircuts. The barbers also demonstrate versatility in being able to work with different hair types and styles, as mentioned by a commenter who grew out a beard for the first time and was impressed with the shaping done by the barbers.
The friendly atmosphere of Kentucky Wildcuts is another strength mentioned in the comments. The barbers are described as friendly, talkative, and engaging in conversations with their clients. Best TL Reviews

tldr This is the only place I've been to that I trust to come back to over and over. Everyone there is good and it feels like a place I can go for a long, long time.
I literally ride a high of confidence when I am done and leave. They do incredible work.
So.. longer story.
When I was a kid, I had long hair and it was kind of a hallmark of my appearance. So when I was about 22 and my hairline started receding, thinning, and also started getting a bald spot, I naturally became really insecure about it.
I was very apprehensive to go and get a haircut that would make it look bad - I needed them to cover up my genetics haha
I wouldn't even know what to ask for ... I would just say "try to cover up how my hair is receding" and hope they'd know what to do with it. I know that wasn't helpful, but I was just so unsure.
My self-esteem was at an all-time low with it. I didn't even like taking pictures.
Place after place was alright, I guess. But I never left feeling super confident. Just a sense of delaying the inevitable day when I no longer liked looking in the mirror.
About 3 or 4 years ago, my older brother recommended me this place before he moved out of Lexington. I tried because .. well .. why not.
And let me tell you.. when I saw myself in the mirror, I forgot everything about my thinning hair and receding lines. I loved what I saw.
I was usually a walk-in or called the day before and just took whoever was open the next day. Because of that, I'm pretty sure everyone who works there has cut my hair at some point.
And every single time, it feels good to KNOW I look good.
More recently, I grew out a beard for the first time in my life and let them shape it up just to see. Man, I feel like I look like a model. I actually wanted to take family pictures because I was so confident in how I looked.
For as long as I live in Lexington, this will forever be the only place I go. No more hopping around trying to find some place. This is it. 10 out of 10.
Experienced barbers that don't rush your haircut! Great atmosphere, very friendly and fair prices.
I got a haircut here today, the person who cut my hair absolutely butchered it. I asked for less than an inch off the top. The proceeded to buzz into the crown of my head. Then took ~2 inches off the top. My hair is absolutely f’d now. They didn’t charge for the haircut and I wasn’t rude at all. I honestly can’t go out in public with my hair like this it’s that bad. It was so awkward not paying too I feel bad for that but why would they take clippers that high onto my head???? It’s like there’s a V around the crown of my head. It will take 4-6 months just to get my hair to the length it needs to be ontop for an actual haircut. Really do not get ur haircut here
Ryan has been fading me up for close to 20 years. As a military guy when I come home it is incredibly relaxing to make my first “to-do” a clean fade and conversation at Wildcuts. He and Mike have always been my go to but Malcolm faded me up last minute for my grandfather’s funeral today. I still have yet to have a barber there not do an incredible job. My wife always loves the fade lines they do and I can’t find a comparable barber in one of the largest cities in America (San Antonio). Those who complain about the wait times have obviously not had quality barbershop experiences because these guys don’t rush through cuts for volume. The conversation can be anything from downright hilarious to current events, to Kentucky athletics and sometimes if you’re lucky the history of hip hop. There will never be a place in Lexington I would go to other than here.
I received my first haircut in the USA from here. It is a great place. People are very cooperative and professional. They accept payment by Cash and Card. I had a great experience. Would like to visit again in future for haircut. Highly recommended for people who does not even know what haircut to get and what haircut will go with their face cut. They have great ideas and experience to give a perfect haircut.
I loved my haircut. I walked in around 2pm on a Tuesday and was seen right away. I know that some people complained about long waits; that wasn't my experience.
I'd recommend calling ahead if you're concerned about a wait.
My barber was talkative which I appreciate because I long to talk during a haircut, but I'm hesitant to start a conversation myself.
Finally, the haircut was pretty inexpensive. I like that.
Great haircut at a good price. Be prepared to wait in line, but worth it.
Awesome haircut, super friendly staff. They even stayed open late to squeeze us in for an appointment. Couldn't recommend more. Best shop in town.
