Quick Facts About Luxor Nail & Spa
Luxor Nail & Spa has several strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Starting with the strengths, some customers mentioned positive experiences with the staff. One customer mentioned that the young ladies who greeted them were respectful and completed the requested services without any issues. This indicates that the customer service provided by some of the staff members is satisfactory.
Additionally, the location of Luxor Nail & Spa seems to be convenient for some customers, as one individual mentioned that it is located right across from their house. This can be a significant advantage for those who prefer a salon that is easily accessible.
However, despite these strengths, there are numerous weaknesses highlighted by the comments. Firstly, the staff members were frequently described as pushy, continuously trying to upsell customers on additional services. This can create an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience for customers who only wanted a specific service.
Furthermore, the quality of the services provided by Luxor Nail & Spa was generally disappointing. Many customers mentioned issues with nail shaping and filing. Crooked nails, different shapes, and varied lengths were some of the problems mentioned, indicating a lack of attention to detail and precision.
Several customers also mentioned that the polish application was not done adequately, resulting in transparent or unevenly applied gel polish. This suggests a lack of skill or expertise among the nail technicians at Luxor Nail & Spa.
Pricing was another recurring complaint. One customer mentioned feeling overcharged for a simple polish change, stating that their nails did not require additional shaping or nail tips. This highlights a potential issue with the pricing structure and the value provided for the services rendered.
The attitude of some staff members was also mentioned as a weakness. Rude behavior, such as rushing customers to pay, making comments about payment, and becoming upset when customers declined additional services, can significantly impact the overall customer experience.
Lastly, the issues with payment options and lack of disclosure about not accepting card payments due to remodeling were seen as major disappointments. This lack of transparency in upfront communication can lead to misunderstandings and frustrations for customers.
In conclusion, Luxor Nail & Spa has some strengths, such as convenient location and respectful staff members. However, the weaknesses highlighted in the comments, including pushy behavior, poor quality of services, pricing issues, and lack of transparency, indicate significant areas for improvement. Understanding these strengths and weaknesses can help potential customers make informed decisions about where they choose to get their nail and spa services done.
Best TL Reviews
Should’ve read reviews before I went in, I had some free time & was in need of a fresh pedi & polis (my usual spot only accepts by appt so I couldn’t go to them today) I’ve been here before in the past like 4 years ago & they used to be good but now I can’t say the same. They were very pushy about me getting shellac/gel & wanted me to do the 2nd pedi option, I told them “no” more than once & they got upset & obvi said stuff about it. The pedicure was horrible experience she was in a rush and wasn’t doing it thoroughly. I told her to clip my nails instead of filing and she no I’m going to file. Idk if she can’t see since she’s older but seriously this is wrong especially when I paid $40. I was drying my toes & she came up to me & said “are u going to pay me” I’ve never been rushed to pay or to get up at my regular salon. It was just rude & not only that she stood there as I looked for my card like almost in it. Just rude and horrible work. I had to come home to take off extra dead skin from the side of my big toes. Just a shame.
The guy was very rude I took my daughter to get a specific type of set of nails and design and he made her nails look like bubble fingers instead of a marble set with design my daughter asked for them to be removed and the guy said it's 50 bucks I said I'm. Not paying for a bad job remove them
Writing the review as I am in the parking lot of the business she couldn’t have possibly thought this was a good job and then she requested for me to give her a tip never in my dayssss. There is polish all over my cuticles and this looks a mess but then she proceeded to offer to do a manicure I refused because of the way that my toes look I should’ve ran when I heard the other woman come in yelling about her nails highly disappointed decided to come here because it was the most convenient right across from my house I asked for my toes to be squared and this is the definition of squared now I have to drive to another shop and see if they can fix it after asking for her to fix it it multiple times
Yesterday I was excited to take my daughter for her first nail experience. We were greeted with smiling faces and two young ladies asking what services we needed, the experience with those two women was fine. They treated my daughter and I with respect and completed the services we asked for, it wasn’t until one of the owners ( the husband) started telling another customer that they did not have the ability to take a card payment due to their current remodel taking place. Obviously that immediately concerned me beacause that was that only form of payment I had with me, I began to ask questions, if the neighboring businesses has ATM machines because if not I would need to leave and go to one. The young lady that completed my daughter service informed the owner (the wife) and that’s when everything went down hill. She began to yell in her native language making accessive hand gestures and constantly looking at the bill for $70. My daughter grew uncomfortable as did I, only I began to also feel embarrassed and angry that I was a black women with plenty of money to pay for my service and honestly everyone else’s in the salon at that time but that didn’t matter! Why wasn’t this mentioned to me when we walked in the establishment or even posted on the door… smh. After I decided to not let her actions consume me I asked the male owner if it would make him feel more comfortable if I left my driver license with him until I got back with th cash they were requesting. He was completely in agreeance, however one of the other employees asked if I WOULD LEAVE MY 4 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER I HER CARE until I got back. Of course I continued to put on her shoes and coat said a firm NO and proceeded to leave. I went to the bank 2 lights over retrieved the cash and made my way back to the salon, once I walked back in the joy that erupted from the salon staff was disgusting. One person even said “ yay! You came back” as if I was going to leave my drivers license THERE and not pay for a service I had full intention in paying for when I first arrived.
This salon is not where I want to enjoy a “relaxing service” and I will never go back.
My friend and I went for a pedicure and had a terrible experience. Paid for the number 2 and it only lasted maybe 5 minutes. We were done with our pedi in maybe 10 minutes. The two workers were also very rude and pushed services that we said no to several times. Would not recommend or go back
This was the second time I went to this place .The second and now last time I go here it's unbelievable. My nails are crooked, some are longer than others, he filed them so much that they are all different shapes, left over acrylic actually stuck on my nail and skin, this place is expensive and I didn't even get gel on my nails. This picture is 2 weeks later. You can see the messed up job they did. Take your money else where.
This was my first time and last time going to this location all my nails are different shapes widths and lengths and the gel polish was not applied thick enough so it is very transparent
I was very disappointed with the price of a shellac manicure polish change. I do not have nail tips and my nails were already shaped. It took the nail tech 20 minutes to change my nail color and she charged me $35.
I felt I was overcharged for this service and time I received. I will not be returning to this salon.
