1. Beautiful nail results: Despite the mixed feedback, there are several comments praising the quality of the nail work. Some customers were satisfied with the appearance of their nails and felt that the technicians listened to their preferences.
2. Welcoming atmosphere: One customer specifically mentioned the nice and welcoming atmosphere at Mary's Nails place. This indicates that the salon is successful in creating a positive environment that makes customers feel comfortable.
3. Affordable prices: A customer mentioned that the prices were good at Mary's Nails. This suggests that the salon offers competitive pricing compared to other nail places in the area.
4. Quick service: Another customer expressed appreciation for the quick service provided by Lucas at Mary's Nails. This indicates that the salon values efficiency and tries to minimize the wait time for their customers.
Weaknesses:
1. Rude and inexperienced nail technicians: Multiple customers complained about encountering rude new nail technicians with little experience. This reflects poorly on the salon's ability to hire and train competent staff members. Rude behavior can significantly impact the customer experience and deter repeat business.
2. Disorganization and poor time management: A customer mentioned that the salon was disorganized due to the high volume of clients and insufficient staff. This indicates a lack of efficiency in scheduling appointments and managing resources. Long wait times can frustrate customers and lead to negative reviews.
3. Poor communication and misunderstandings: Several customers had issues with the salon not understanding or fulfilling their requests. Miscommunication can lead to dissatisfaction and disappointment. Additionally, customers mentioned that the employees would speak excessively in Vietnamese, which made them feel ignored and disrespected.
4. Lack of cleanliness and hygiene: One customer expressed concern about the cleanliness of the salon. They noticed grime, dust, and overall filth in the salon, which is particularly concerning in the context of a nail salon where hygiene is crucial. This can contribute to a negative perception of the salon's professionalism and quality.
5. Inconsistent product quality: A customer mentioned that the salon uses Gelaze brand nail polish, which is not considered a professional product. Additionally, they complained about improper nail grinding techniques that can be damaging to nails. Inconsistency in product quality and improper techniques can lead to negative outcomes and weaken customer trust.
6. Limited payment options: Another customer mentioned that the salon only accepts Venmo or cash as payment methods. This can be inconvenient for customers who prefer to pay with credit or debit cards. It also limits the salon's accessibility to a broader range of customers who may not use or have access to alternative payment methods.
In conclusion, while Mary's Nails place has some strengths such as beautiful nail results, a welcoming atmosphere, affordable prices, and quick service, there are also notable weaknesses including rude and inexperienced nail technicians, disorganization and poor time management, poor communication and misunderstandings, lack of cleanliness and hygiene, inconsistent product quality, and limited payment options. Addressing these weaknesses is essential for the salon to improve customer satisfaction and retain clientele.

Best TL Reviews

I used to love going to Mary’s nails but here recently I’ve been having rude new nail techs with little experience do my nails. I’m not one to always speak up on things that I don’t like
, but when I’m being charged 90+ dollars for a set. i want my nails to look good and not get attitude or talk down that what they are doing is way better than what I’m asking for. I have had my set for 5 days now and broke 1 nail by the second day. Definitely will be going else where from now on .
I had an appointment today at 12:00 and wasn't seen till 1:00. It was kinda annoying because there was people coming in way after I got there who were being seen. I think this business is taking more than what they can chew. There was tons of clients and now enough employees. It's causing them disorganization with and screwing up their time management.
After waiting a long time the nail tech proved himself. My nails are beautiful and he listened to what I wanted including with the length and shape
I was just told if I don't come now she can't fix her mistake! And she said I should said something before I left. Well I didn't see till I went outside! I won't be back. I was not happy with attitude and was given a bs excuse why she did it! My gel polish looks like needs fill in already. Instead of 21 days I'll have to go within a week. I'm upset! And the customer service was bad. My other hand is worse but have low storage couldn't take another picture.
I ask for a natural look in gel nails.I got a dip instead and a pink look . Which is not natural and their communication is awful, bc I made it clear what I wanted. If I could give a NO Star I would !Its also unprofessional for employees to have their children there Running around . The best way to describe this place.”I felt like I was at their House ! Lastly,They charged me gel nail prices and gave me a dip I didn’t want. When I tried to ask questions, he acted liked he couldn’t understand English! I will Never go back again .
Appointment at 3, yet they took a woman who entered 10 seconds before me who didn’t have an appointment till 3:45, but “ decided to come in early”, before me.
They literally, except for wrapping mine, completely did her entire set before me. The place is nasty too as I sat for over an hour past my appointment before they STARTED my nails I noticed shavings, grime, and just overall buildup around the pads you lay your wrists on. The top spaces between each desktop were coated in dust, nail shavings, and just filth- yet I was charged $2 for my file and buffer ( that they probably have .25 invested in) since Covid they can’t reuse. Neither can places in Hickory, yet there’s not an extra changes as they’ve all increased prices since Covid. I’ve never been to ANY salon ( in 25 years) as dirty as Mary’s. Probably the one thing that annoyed me the most besides their housekeeping, was the fact that every time they spoke to me and/ or another younger girl, they then talked excessively in Vietnamese, laughing, which I found to be very rude as it was apparent to all customers they were discussing us. The finished nails weren’t bad, not the best, but, as good as any around here, yet, I didn’t ask the technicians name as I will not be using them again. I’ll go back to Hickory where they are sterile, friendly, and appreciate my time and business.
Absolutely amazing service. So nice and welcoming. The only bad thing i have to say is before putting on my nails they didn't clean from underneath my nails. Other than that it was fantastic!!!
I loved my nail I loved the atmosphere good price good work and quick thank you Lucas for my nails
The 1st time I used this company I thought they did a great job I went back the 2nd time had gel Polish trearment and had some issues but got through it. A few days later my nails were so weak they were breaking every day and I generally have the strongest fingernails a person could have. I have been in cosmetology And have much experience To know about Products used. Gelaze brand was used for my nail polish, And This Product can be purchased at Sally's because I Have used It before and it's not a Professional Product. They also grind off your old college down to the nail and the nail bed which is very bad for Nails. I Thought I would give them another try so I called and asked if they had OPI products and I was told they did so I Scheduled an appointment in drove over there To find out they had nothing in the brand of Polish that I desire to use because I know that it's a good product and I've never had issues of it weakening my fingernails. So I wasted my valuable time and Got up and left because I waited to tell me this until after they had seated me and put cotton on my nails to remove my old Polish. They kept speaking and their language and wouldn't speak to me directly in English. I think that is very unprofessional and rude if you know the language here in this country then that is what you should speak to your customers and others about your customers. They do not take cards only venmo or cash. This is also a problem because the last time I used venmo I got charged $10 for the transaction.
