Quick Facts About Mena Dominican hair salon
Mena Dominican Hair Salon has received a variety of comments, both positive and negative, highlighting different strengths and weaknesses of the salon. In order to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the salon, we will examine the comments below.
One of the strengths mentioned in the comments is the skill of certain stylists in working with long hair. One comment states that if your hair is super long, the salon may be able to work with it effectively. This indicates that the salon has stylists who are skilled in handling and styling longer hair.
Another strength mentioned is the skill of a particular stylist in doing sew-ins. A customer states that this specific stylist always does a fabulous job with sew-ins and is the only one she allows to touch her hair in that regard. This suggests that the salon has at least one stylist who specializes in sew-ins and has expertise in that area.
Additionally, the salon receives positive comments about the service provided by certain stylists. One customer mentions that Elena is the best in Atlanta and that she went above and beyond in achieving the desired look. This indicates that the salon has stylists who prioritize customer satisfaction and provide excellent service.
However, there are several weaknesses highlighted in the comments as well. One common criticism is the inconsistency in pricing. One customer mentions that the price is always different, and another customer feels that the prices are too high and don't make sense. This indicates a lack of transparency and consistency in pricing, which can be frustrating for customers.
Another significant weakness mentioned is the lack of expertise or skill exhibited by some stylists. One comment suggests that a particular stylist, described as the light-skinned woman, is sweet but cannot do hair well. Multiple comments mention issues with chemical treatments and damage to the hair, indicating a lack of knowledge in choosing appropriate products and techniques for different hair types.
Furthermore, there are complaints about the overall quality of the salon. Multiple comments express disappointment with the salon's professionalism and the conditions of the salon itself. One customer describes the salon as a "bootleg hole in the wall salon," indicating a lack of professionalism and a subpar environment.
In conclusion, the strengths of Mena Dominican Hair Salon include the ability to work well with long hair, expertise in sew-ins from certain stylists, and the provision of excellent customer service by specific stylists. However, the salon faces weaknesses in terms of inconsistent pricing, the lack of expertise and skill exhibited by some stylists, and complaints about the overall quality and professionalism of the salon. These weaknesses indicate areas where improvements can be made for the benefit of customers.
Best TL Reviews
Just look at the picture… enough said. I have given the shop three tries because I am a fair person, I live close, and based on all the good reviews…I understand bad days, but THIS IS NOT CUTE. Anyone with eyes can see that.
maybe if your hair is super long they can work with it. I’ve had the dark skin girl do my hair and it was decent. Not really cut, but I could fix it. I came back twice and the owner continuously puts me in the light skinned woman’s chair, she is sweet but does not seem to know what she’s. Again, very sweet
but just cannot do hair…just look at the picture. Also the price is always different. Just don’t go to the light skin lady and you may get a decent blowout/press. I’m disappointed and now have to pay more money for a hair due. Take more pride in your work
She always do my sew in and I always come out fabulous she is the only one that touch my hair as far as sew ins ❤️❤️
If you are natural and care about the health of your curls I would not go here. I had a sew in from a different stylist and came in for a wash and flat iron. When straightening my hair I looked down and saw the flat iron at 460 degrees! I didn’t even know they went up that high. At that point she was basically done so it was too late. My leave out is fried.
I wish I could leave a -10 review.
I have gotten my hair done at Dominican salons often over the past decade. I always get any hair washed, treated, trimmed, and pressed. I went to this salon in May 2021 because all of my regular hairstylists were booked. I went to this salon because I was desperate to get my hair done to go out for the weekend. This one visit was the worst mistake I could have ever made. I knew this was coming when I messed up and popped into this little bootleg hole in the wall salon. Long story short, THEY USED SOMETHING ON MY HAIR OR DID SOMETHING TO MY HAIR THAT HAS NOW CAUSED IT TO ALL FALLOUT! Stay away from here!!! Go to Sula’s instead. It’s close and better.
I have gone back to complain twice and keep getting told the same lies that they didn’t use chemicals in my hair, but my hair is reacting as though they did. I also was denied a sample of their conditioner for testing. They don’t want to deal with kinky hair, so they process it, so it’s easier to deal with. I brought my products. The lady used my stuff (Aussie) but then said that I had dandruff (I’ve never had dandruff and still don’t), took me back to the bowl and washed & conditioned my hair again using their products this time. When I left that day, my hair was so limp and lifeless I knew something was wrong. There’s a big difference between relaxed hair and natural pressed hair. The body and volume is different. Stay away from these people. As a result of this one mistake I am now having to cut most of my hair off. I am mortified!!!!
Elena is THE BEST in Atlanta ! I wanted a sew in with leave out and told her I wanted layers and a natural look. She went above and beyond . I don’t trust anyone to do my hair, but Elena.
Although both ladies in the salon did a good job on my hair . The prices are just way to high I feel like they make up prices in their head unfortunately I won’t be returning back . $95 on a wash and set with weave and sew in 4 Tracks and curl $140 but a full weave start off at $140 the prices just doesn’t make any sense . Been getting my hair wash and set with weave for years and the most is $60 nowhere near $100 . I gave them second chance only because it’s nearby my home but prices are just way to high .
La mejor poniendo extensiones, blower, plancha, y mejor servicio al cliente!!!
Don’t go here if you’re natural. They will put intentionally put chemicals in your hair without your knowledge or consent.
