First time visiting based on my Sister’s recommendation and they didn’t disappoint. I haven’t had a pedicure by a professional since COVID so needless to say I needed one! The ladies did such a great job and Tori (I think I heard her called) was fabulous with my 10 year old! Modern Nail will most certainly be our regular girls day outing. Thank you!

Busy the day I went, got a full set almond tip, acrylic and a nice pedi.
Pros: Jennifer and T were friendly and gave me their full attention. The massage chairs are nice. Free WiFi. Friendly clientele.
Cons: the prices are on the high end side for mid level quality. Meaning, $147. for a nice pedi. On my nails, I can see how thin the polish is. It’s actually just a meh set. Don’t love, don’t hate. Some tips are off center.
I came here with my daughter to get our toes done, it was our first time at this spot. The lady doing mine cut and cut and cut into my big toe. I winced and tried to not to move, I had never had so much pain as what she was doing. After she got done I could see she cut a lot out...she said that I had an ingrown toenail. I've never had one before, and my toe had not been bothering me prior. Leaving I was sore and decided I'd keep an eye on my toe and clean it to make sure I didn't get an infection. Fast forward to today... I had to go get my toe cut open because of the infection! Even though I treated my toe... I'm not sure I really had a ingrown toenail... but rather too much was cut. Per her concerned face and the lady beside her concerned. Worst experience ever and only one I've ever had like it
Very friendly. They were busy but I did not have to sit and wait forever. They did a great job on my nails. The ow ner seemed to really care and take car of his employees. That rates high with me
I have visited this place several times since moving to Perry. They have not been friendly nor welcoming anytime I have went. But seem to be the only nail place here. I took my Daughter whose nail polish peeled off an hour after we left the salon and the tips of my nails looked as though they were growing green mold spots 2 days later. I spoke with Jason gently and respectfully about it but the way he handled the matter was unprofessional. He got very loud and rude. I only gave them a 2 because I was somewhat satisfied with my eyebrow wax.
I use to go to this salon when I stayed in College Park 4yrs ago and I loved it. Today I was visiting family so I went there to get a good mani and pedi. Worst mistake of my life. The lady that serviced me gave me a jello pedi which I didn't ask for but once I looked in that water and saw the jello I went ahead and got it. She was actually done with my pedicure in 10mins. I had to ask her was she gone do any kind of massage. I wear my own nails so all I needed was a polish change she says $100 for everything so I said you charging me $40 for a polish change. She said it's $25 for a polish change but since I wanted one nail done differently she was charging $40..I'll NEVER GO THERE AGAIN ????
I'm not sure why the owner gets upset when you critique someone's sculpting ability There should be an Apex on your nail it shouldn't be flat straight across and there should be no waves or bumps in the acrylic once you're done filing them down and shaping the nor the nail polish, gel or not.. Instead of being offended i would appreciate if they took accountability instead of blatantly knowing they look bad & still asking 65 dollars for a full set almond & French tip. All the nails I see coming out looked great& the nails my daughter had done look sub-par
I have been going to Modern Nails for about 3 months. Jason and Nancy does an amazing job. He's very professional and his nail skills are off the charts. I wouldn't recommend anyone else. No breaks and I never had to worry about chipped polish. Thanks Jason and Nancy????????
