I made an appointment for 8 am today for me and my daughter. Got in at 8, we were the only ones there. Naomi was very nice and welcoming. It took a while after our shampoo (which was expensive) for us to get our hair braided. She started on my daughter and was very nice and patient with her. She did half of her head then her daughter started on my hair. She stopped doing my daughter’s hair and did another customer’s hair and finished her head, which was the same style that my daughter & I were getting. I asked her daughter how much longer it would be and she proceeded to tell me to ask her mom and that she’s (the owner’s daughter) already doing my hair and clearly not sitting there doing nothing while rolling her eyes and her neck lol very very rude. At this point there were only 2 braids in my hair and I had been there since 8 am and the time was 10:45 am. I’ve never had to sit for 4 hours to have feed-ins done. And I’ve definitely never had to deal with an attitude when I’m paying to get my hair done. Will not be returning. The amount of time my daughter and I had to wait would’ve gotten a pass if her daughter wasn’t so rude. And she braids extremely tight.
The braids are good and they last but they take forever to do. I usually get medium sized knotless braids waist length and higher. almost everytime it took her forever to do my hair. My appointments would be at 8:00Am and i would leave out by 6:30Pm solely because she likes to stop and work on others hair and takes lots of breaks. No braids should take that long to do.

So I decided to allow this place to do a “Two strand loc retwist” on my two-strand starter locs on 08/10/2022 around 12. I called and made sure the lady was able to complete the service I was needing to be done. She starts on my hair and before I sat down I said “I already started the two-strand loc method but I have been swimming so it’s a little messed up” she said okay and proceed to tell me not to get my locs in water for at least 6 months. We go on with the service because I’m thinking she knew what I was talking about because she didn’t ask any questions or to see any pics. She was very rough with my hair/scalp so bad I was crying real tears. I go to get under the dryer it feels likes it’s on the highest heat setting so I try my hardest to keep my head under it but the clips were burning my scalp and neck. It’s finally time to get up from the dryer and I go strait to the mirror and it is NOT what I had asked for whatsoever! So I ask her why she didn’t do what I asked and was asking her questions about what she did and I was told that it looks different because I had a lot of new growth. I’m crying looking in the mirror because I’m stuck with this style unless I start all over and bush it out which would mean I have waisted $250 trying to start my loc journey. I paid and left because I don’t want any problems I just want my hair the way I want it so I go to take my bonnet off this morning and a loc fell out and was looking at me look at it on the bed.. I was furious so I called the lady who did them and she claimed I never said two strand which is a whole LIE because I started my lo journey with two strand locs so I told her that’s what I wanted to continue in my hair. My hair is ugly and I do not like it because it is not what I wanted at all. I do not recommend this braiding hair salon whatsoever. If you can’t do the style I ask for just say that and I would have moved on to the next. My mistake for not asking for pics of her work on two strand locs but lesson learned. (First two pics are how it looks now, last pic is the starter locs and how it was supposed to look)
The mom hair Braider Naomi would get an attitude if someone asked her a simple question. She also kept getting on the phone while doing my hair which made it take even longer. And she kept spitting while talking on the phone. Obviously not a good experience.

Definitely recommend! I almost fell asleep when I was getting my hair washed! She was so delicate and efficient. She washed 3x so I know it was clean, and she hooked up edges too! When my kids and I return from NY this summer they’re definitely going there for some back to school styles.
I've gone 7-8 times to get my hair braided and I've never been disappointed! Plus, the people are so friendly, its hard not to feel like you're just chilling at home with friends! 10/10, and I would recommend to my friends too!
