Quick Facts About PT NAILS & SPA of Mishawaka

PT NAILS & SPA of Mishawaka appears to have both strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. In order to analyze these, it is important to consider key factors such as customer service, quality of services, efficiency, and consistency.
Starting with the strengths, several positive comments highlight specific aspects of the business. One recurring theme is the efficiency and timeliness of appointments. Customers appreciate that they rarely have to wait to be seen and can easily get walk-in appointments. This suggests that the salon is well-organized and able to accommodate customers promptly.
The quality of services also receives praise in some comments. Many customers express satisfaction with their nail treatments, particularly their pedicures, which are consistently described as great. Additionally, specific nail artists like Mary and Ryan receive commendations for their attention to detail, gentleness, and skill in delivering high-quality nail designs. This indicates that the salon has talented technicians who can provide excellent nail services.
Another strength of PT NAILS & SPA is their rewards card system. Customers mention a rewards card that offers a $5 discount after five visits. This loyalty program can be an effective way to incentivize customers to continue visiting the salon, thereby fostering customer loyalty and retention.
On the other hand, there are weaknesses that deserve attention as well. One common complaint revolves around the inconsistency in the quality of manicures. While the pedicures receive positive feedback, the same cannot be said for manicures. Some customers mention that the quality of their manicures is hit or miss and largely depends on the specific technician they are assigned. This suggests a lack of consistency in the training and skills of the nail technicians.
The negative comments also shed light on other weaknesses of PT NAILS & SPA. One client had a particularly bad experience with a rushed and poorly executed acrylic nail set. The acrylic was described as thick and uneven, and the nail polish application was incomplete. The response from the salon when seeking a refund was also disappointing, further exacerbating the negative experience. Another comment described a painful and unsatisfactory manicure session where the technician caused cuts and left swollen nail beds. This raises concerns about the level of professionalism and care provided by some of the salon's staff members.
Furthermore, there are a few complaints about the durability and longevity of the nail treatments. Some clients mentioned that their gel or dip manicures started chipping or fading excessively soon after application. This suggests that there may be issues with the quality or application process of these treatments, leading to subpar results.
Overall, PT NAILS & SPA of Mishawaka has strengths in terms of timeliness, efficiency, pedicure services, and specific talented technicians. However, weaknesses in consistency, quality assurance, and customer service are apparent, as indicated by negative experiences with rushed and poorly executed services, painful procedures, and unsatisfactory responses to complaints. These weaknesses need to be addressed in order to improve the overall customer experience and maintain a positive reputation.

Best TL Reviews

I normally have a pretty good experience here! I have had a couple below average experiences but overall it’s pretty good! I always come here and I never have to wait to be seen. They're always nice and do a good job! Mary did my nails this time and she did an incredible job. Thank you so much! ????
This is my favorite place to get a pedicure or get dip. I've been to a few other places and the reason this is top is (1) they are very quick and efficient (2) easy to get a walk in appointment (3) effectively remove dip before applying a new set.
I've been to some places where the dip was not fully removed before they applied a new set, which lead to issues with proper removal and application down the road. They do a great job here.
BONUS: They have a rewards card for $5 off after 5 visits.
Pedicures are consistently great here—definitely invest in the upgrades, I always add the hot wax mask and it leaves my feet feeling extra silky smooth.
Manicures are hit or miss. It just depends on the technician I get if I’m going to end up with evenly shaped nails with dip.
Do not go here! I made an appointment to get my nails done here, and they made me feel like a walk-in that they didn’t have time for. I got a full set of acrylic nails, and it only took the guy about 30 minutes to do them. They were so rushed and looked horrible. The acrylic was incredibly thick, and uneven. The nail polish didn’t even go over my whole nail. You could tell that he didn’t put much effort into my nails. I called afterwards for a refund but they said it was not going to happen. I went somewhere else the next day and got them done the right way. I looked at the reviews for this place and decided to go against the bad ones, but I was wrong. I will not being going back here and I will tell anyone I know not to go here.
honestly i just got the worst nails in my whole entire life I would NOT go back ever. Was charged 100 for these nails
I can’t speak for any of the other nails artists here but, Ryan is amazing at what he does. He is very detailed, gentle and takes his time on his work. He values your happiness with what he does as well, you will definitely leave with some knockout nails. I cannot recommend him enough, he is the only one I will see!
Let me start off by saying i was a loyal customer for months, from the end of 2018 to the beginning of 2019. I stopped going there because i didn't really care for the new technicians they were hiring. I decided to give them another shot last night on 7/16/19. I made an appointment for a full set and to get a pedicure. The pedicure was very nice, really relaxing. Once i was done with that, they started to take the remaining shellac i had on my nails off. The drill they were using to do that was a soft round tip. It burned my nails a few times, i jerked away and the technician PULLED MY HAND BACK AND CONTINUED TO TAKE THE SHELLAC OFF. It only burned my finger once but i hurt very bad. She then proceeded to put new tips on my nails, a little while later she used just about every drill tip she had. While she was drilling my nails, she kept going around the outside of my nail bed, CUTTING THE SIDES OF MY NAILS! And if it was just one nail i wouldn't be as upset, but it was literally every single finger. I woke up this morning with my nails in pain and swollen! There is excess blood underneath of the acrylic nail that you can see from the side. Also, i asked to get my nails painted but i wanted to get my ring fingers a different color. She started to put sparkles on the ring fingers and i asked her if she could put silver on the bottom so it would pop more. She then turned around to find a silver color, looked at me and said no you're fine, and continued to kill my nail beds. I will NEVER be back here again! For someone to hurt you to the point where you are almost in tears, especially just for a manicure, is absolutely ridiculous. At the very end of the session she put on cuticle oil which felt more like alcohol seeping into the cuts that she made. the end result looks really nice. But the cuts and swollen nail beds are OUTRAGEOUS! If i could give this place 0 stars i most definitely would. Would not recommend this place to anyone i know.
Came in for gel. Didn’t last more than a few days after started chipping. So I tried the dip. I asked if it were acrylic powder. They said no. That’s a lie. I’m in the beauty industry. It may have a few different ingredients but it’s basically the same exact thing. That’s not my issue though. When I came in to try the dip. It was packed. I would rather they have told me to come back. They had me sit on a chair for about 20 minutes doing nothing. Then moved me to another chair where I started my soak. Then 20 minutes later they moved me AGAIN to another chair (third person by the way) when I finally got my dip the lady had cut me 3 times. And when I got I. The car I noticed that my nails were very bumpy. Not smoothAT ALL! A few days later I took this pic and the color is faded I’m some areas and seems to be even more uneven and bumpy. They say that the dip is “better for your nails” but I’m curious because in order to get this off they will need to be soaked in acetone. And are harder to remove then gel. Again I’m in the industry and have done acrylics before…. I might now have minded the dip had they 1 been upfront with me and 2 not been so bumpy and uneven. I won’t be returning.
