Quick Facts About Rocy's Mexican Food

to Rocy's.
Rocy's Mexican Food place, based on the comments provided, has both strengths and weaknesses that are worth discussing. Let's analyze them in detail.
Starting with the strengths, one recurring positive comment is about the food quality. Multiple reviewers mention that the food at Rocy's is delicious and some even claim it is the best carne asada burrito in Kern County. This indicates that the taste and flavor of the dishes are highly regarded by customers. Additionally, the comment about having different options shows that the menu is diverse and can cater to various preferences. This is a positive aspect, as it allows customers to choose dishes that suit their individual tastes.
Another strength highlighted is the affordability of the food. The comment mentioning fair prices suggests that Rocy's offers reasonably priced meals, making it accessible to a wider range of customers. Additionally, the fact that the taco truck in Smith's Corner is mentioned as being cheaper and better indicates that Rocy's prices are competitive within their local area.
Furthermore, the positive mention about Rocy's being open during the COVID-19 pandemic demonstrates that they were able to adapt to the circumstances and provide a much-needed dining option for customers. This can be seen as a strength, as it shows their commitment to serving their community even during challenging times.
Moving on to the weaknesses of Rocy's, the most prominent aspect mentioned is the decline in quality after the change in ownership. One customer expresses disappointment in the overpriced burrito that lacked sufficient meat, indicating a decrease in portion sizes and potentially less attention to quality control. Another customer also mentions the tacos not being very good and the excessive amount of guacamole compared to the amount of meat in the taco. These comments highlight a decline in food quality and suggest that consistency might be an issue.
In addition to the decline in food quality, the negative comment about not receiving a plate but rather rolled tacos in wax paper suggests a lack of attention to presentation and possibly a lack of proper tableware. This diminishes the overall dining experience and may leave customers feeling unsatisfied.
Furthermore, the comment about the place being empty despite the food being good indicates a potential issue with ambiance or lack of advertising. It suggests that Rocy's may struggle with attracting a consistent customer base and may need to address this to increase foot traffic.
Finally, the fact that Rocy's only accepts cash can be seen as a weakness in today's modern society where cashless transactions are becoming increasingly popular. While it is understandable that small businesses may have limitations, not accepting cards may deter potential customers who rely on electronic payment methods.
In conclusion, Rocy's Mexican Food place has several strengths, including delicious food, a diverse menu, affordability, and adapting to difficult circumstances during the pandemic. However, weaknesses such as a decline in food quality, portion sizes, lack of presentation, and limited payment options need to be addressed for the business to thrive. It is crucial for Rocy's to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation, attract a regular customer base, and consider implementing electronic payment options to stay competitive in the market.

No frills place.. I usually don't get anything other than a bean n cheese burrito with red salsa. Once in awhile ill go for their beef taquitos (3) count. Delicious everytime.
Cash only good food other wise. Fair priced
Best carne asada buritos youll find anywhere in kern county
I use to love this place but it was sold and it changed for the worse. Over priced quality was just fair. My burrito was mostly rice and beans. You think for almost $10 for a burrito they would put some meat in it. The tacos were good. Place was empty. Now I know why. I won't be returning. Taco truck in Smith's Corner is cheaper and better!
Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had, and it is my favorite type of food. Highly highly recommend it. Carnitas and Carne Asada were both amazing! Bring cash, as they do not accept cards.
Ate here and loved the food. You have a lot of different options you can get. It was one of the few places open in California during covid so I really appreciated that as I was from out of town.
Tacos where not very good, carnitas meat tasted good but they put more guacamole than meat in the taco. I didn't even get a plate, just a tray with rolled tacos in wax paper... Pretty expensive for the service and food you get.
Love their carne asada quesadilla combo. If you ask them to make the Asana a bit more crispier...It's. To. Die. For!!!! Friendly staff and good food. Their agua de piña is freaking awesome as well. It's my go to drink when I go
