Great experience! Savannah will work with you to make sure your hair is the way you want it. My roots didn't take the color very well the first time, but she didn't quit until it was exactly what I wanted. Also, she curled my hair beautifully.

As an aspiring and in school cosmetologist I am completely and utterly horrified at the results of my girlfriends hair after coming here. She simply came in for some layers to add a bit of spunk to her style and came out with a bob . (Completely unacceptable). It came to about 2-3 inches below the shoulder before the visit and during the consultation she even showed a reference picture that is nothing like what she ended up with. She lost a good 4-5” off of her hair and now is above even her chin. The style was completely achievable but the stylist managed to mess it up. Unless you are wanting a straight across haircut I do not AT ALL recommend this place. If I could I would give it a zero.

I come to Temple to visit my family quite often, so I wanted to find someone down here that could get me in. They did such a wonderful job! I had asked if they could do a deep conditioning treatment since I had forgotten to ask prior to the appointment and she was more than willing to get that done for me! I plan on coming here everytime I see family :).

Absolutely butchered my hair. If you want something that's more than a trim or touch up, I don't suggest trying this place out. That's all I have to say.

They are awesome. Cut a hair tie out of my long hair, after being natted up at the hospital for 48 days. Savanah gave me a pixie cut, and the next visit was able to even it up. She done a great job!

Took my kids for a simple hair cut. My son's hair turned out fine, but she butchered my daughter's bangs. Very short and super uneven. We won't be going back

This is the salon I would recommend above all others in the area. Andrea is an excellent hairstylist with years of experience and expertise. She is also very nice and kind. Her salon is clean, orderly, and well equipped for a plethora of procedures and treatments. Although she is limited because of her asthma, you may have to call Savannah, the other stylist, to do stronger dyes and other heavily chemical products.

‼A huge thing that she cannot be around is fragrance! Even if you put some on that morning, it still has traces that severely affect her! She asks all clients And patrons to not wear any strong smelling shampoo, conditioner, perfumes, cologne, body spray, deodorant, essential oils, and any Bath and Bodyworks products on them. Be clean, shower before you get there but make sure you rinse off any strong smells so you can be kinder to her and show respect for her asthma. Andrea is a wonderful stylist but sometimes things get to her, and she has to close for the day or until she feels better. So please, no strong smells, good or bad.

Scissorhands salon is a great place to get your hair done, it's comfortable, like going to your favorite aunt's house. Sometimes there will be a tragically adorable dog in the waiting room and won't hesitate to rush to your receive a pat or two. This adorable dog goes by the name of Smash and will sit by your feet if you're nervous. But don't worry, Smash couldn't hurt you if he wanted to. Andrea is good with kids and they don't often freak out in the chair. My brothers took theirs well, and I was surprised that not even one of them had a meltdown.

If you want your hair to look fresh, feel great, and continue to be great, I suggest this place. And by visiting, you're supporting a small business and that is awesome. She has been going since 2008, and don't let her stop now.
