Quick Facts About Café East
Café East is a cute little café that receives a lot of positive feedback from customers. The staff is described as very friendly and helpful, providing excellent service to guests. This is a significant strength of the café, as good customer service can greatly enhance the overall dining experience.
Customers particularly rave about the food at Café East, describing it as very delicious and recommending it to others. The full English breakfast, lasagne, and lamb chops are mentioned as standout dishes that are some of the best the customers have ever had. The portion sizes are also mentioned as being generous and satisfying. The quality and taste of the food are important strengths of the café.
Another positive aspect of Café East is the variety and creativity of their drink options. Customers recommend the "surprise me" juice, which is described as having gorgeous flavors. The use of unexpected flavors and the family-owned aspect of the business are also mentioned as reasons to support the café. This creativity and unique touch in their drink offerings are additional strengths of Café East.
The café is also praised for its brunch options, with customers stating that it offers the best brunch in East London. This positive feedback is a significant strength, as brunch is a popular mealtime and having a reputation for serving excellent brunch dishes can attract a wide range of customers.
The presentation of the food at Café East is highlighted as a strength, with customers mentioning that the servings are like works of art. The plates are well decorated with fruit and salad, which is appreciated by customers. This attention to detail and aesthetic appeal can contribute to a positive dining experience and is therefore a strength of the café.
On the other hand, there are a few weaknesses mentioned by customers. One major concern is that Café East only accepts cash, which can be inconvenient for customers who do not carry cash with them or cannot easily access cash nearby. This limitation can lead to frustration and potentially deter customers from visiting the café. The café may want to consider adding card payment options to address this weakness.
Some customers also mention that the wait times can be quite long, with queues forming outside the café. While this indicates that the café is popular and in high demand, it can also be a drawback for people who do not want to wait for a long time to be seated. This weakness could potentially be addressed by implementing a reservation system or finding ways to reduce wait times.
Other minor weaknesses mentioned include the random fruit and salad decorations on the plates, which some customers feel do not complement the dishes. Additionally, a few customers mention that certain menu items, such as the buffalo spicy wings, are not special and quite expensive.
In conclusion, Café East has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation among customers. These strengths include friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, creative drink options, excellent brunch offerings, and attractive plate presentation. However, there are also a few weaknesses, including the cash-only policy, long wait times, mismatched plate decorations, and certain menu items not meeting expectations. Addressing these weaknesses could further enhance the overall experience at Café East.

Es ist ein süßes kleines Café. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen war sehr sehr lecker und ich kann es nur empfehlen. Würde wieder kommen.
Literally the best place ever. This me and my partner’s regular spot for both breakfast and lunch - the full English, lasagne and lamb chops are the best dishes I’ve ever had. For drinks I recommend the surprise me, gorgeous flavours everywhere and it’s a family owned business so I support all the way! The workers are so wonderful too, very kind and hospitable - good vibes all around ????
Loved this place. The portion sizes are ginormous and really tasty. We had the potato cake and the French meets English with a surprise me juice. The drink was delicious and I was stuffed at the end. Highly recommend!
Best brunch in East London. Need to queue for at least 30 min during weekends to get seated but it’s worth it.
Ordered English breakfast and loved every bit of it, their juices are great too. Presentation is wonderful!
Only downside is that they only accept cash and we got to know at the last minute and couldn’t find any free cash withdrawals near by, had to pay extra to withdraw cash which is a bit unfair because everyone accepts cards these days .
Nice homely food but not really worth the wait tbh.
The plate decorations are just random fruit/salad which do not compliment the dishes.
The buffalo spicy wings are nothing special and quite expensive.
Best breakfast I had while on vacation in London. Staff was very friendly. Beautiful presentation. Almost too pretty to eat. I will definitely be back on my next visit to the UK.
The servings are works of art, but taste as good as they look. Plenty of fruit will line the plate — this is most welcome. Hip and trendy atmosphere worthy of its spot in the heart of East London. 5/5.
Don’t sit too close to the front door in the winter, it gets chilly! Also, cash only!
We had to queue to get into this place at midday as it was full. The anticipation heightened. When we were eventually allowed into this very popular secret den, we were not disappointed. This was a journey in the making for about 5 months and was well worth the travel from South to east. The buzz of the people, the music, the warm welcome. The whole setting is magical and as for the food????????????
