However, it also has weaknesses, including high prices for low-quality food, poor customer service, and concerns about hygiene. Location and proximity to the beach is what keeps this place going. Nice guy working the register, ladies slinging grease in the back, all the standards on offer. "It is what it is" (hate that tired stupid expression but it sums this place up perfectly). If you are hungry, don't want to drive and find yourself here, this will do...
Soft Serve is very good but please don't let your cashier touch the bathroom key stick and then touch the cone that is being served without food gloves or using the hand sanitizer you have right by the pick up window. It's really best to teach them how to wrap the napkin so they never touch the cone. Cashiers have to be really careful about cross contamination.
I've tried their coffee, which was ok but cold at noon when I went there, understandable but I was a bit bummed. At least it wasn't burnt tasting. I have eaten their fries too. They tasted like they'd been frozen but they were hot and pretty good anyway... But they were like $4.50 or something, small coffee was $1.55. Their shakes look good so I'll definitely try one of those. Bf said they had a really good chilli dog ($13). Overpriced for the quality by far, but it's quite nice to have a neighborhood joint a short walk from my bf's house. ????♀️ I'll be back.
Great little place to have a classic amercian meal. Also has breakfast too. Food was good and the atmosphere is cool vibes takes you back in time. Support these little food places keep them going.
VERY overpriced for the low quality of the food. I've been to plenty of little drive ins like this, so I wasn't expecting a gourmet meal. But the quality of the burger was just about as bad as it could be and still be served. Also, storing a homeless persons food in your freezer may be kind, but it probably isn't very sanitary. Don't let the nostalgic appearance fool you, skip this place.
Charged us 6 dollars more than the posted price, young man behind the counter acknowledged it and said the owner just hasn't changed it.
Good burger but we won't be going back.
Workers are always polite and accommodating. This is a low-key, comfortable spot. I love the fish sandwich and fries here. They’re always salty and hot!
Great cheeseburger and generous serving of crispy hot fries. Egg rolls are amazing just don't forget to order the hot mustard to go with them.
