Quick Facts About Studio Fifty-Four Salon
Studio Fifty-Four Salon has received a mix of positive and negative comments from customers. In order to fully assess the strengths and weaknesses of the salon, we will analyze the comments provided.
Starting with the negative comments, one customer expressed dissatisfaction with the salon, stating that the employees were rude and that the salon was dirty. This comment highlights potential weaknesses in customer service and cleanliness at Studio Fifty-Four Salon. Rude behavior from employees can create a negative atmosphere and contribute to a poor overall experience for customers. Additionally, a dirty salon can lead to a lack of professionalism and potential health and safety concerns.
Another negative comment mentioned a hairstylist named Kat who gave a haircut that was drastically different from the customer's requested style. The customer had wanted long layers but ended up with a much shorter haircut. This incident highlights a weakness in communication and skill on the part of the hairstylist. It is essential for hairstylists to properly understand and execute their clients' desired looks to ensure customer satisfaction.
On the positive side, there were several comments praising specific hairstylists at Studio Fifty-Four Salon. Ashleigh and Jenn were specifically mentioned as being skilled and knowledgeable in their craft. These comments indicate a strength in hairstyling expertise at the salon. Skilled stylists can provide high-quality services and deliver results that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Furthermore, one customer mentioned a positive experience with a hairstylist named Tiffany. The customer appreciated that Tiffany did not need to use bleach on their hair and was able to achieve a desired look while keeping the hair healthy. This comment demonstrates a strength in the salon's ability to prioritize the health and well-being of customers' hair. Using products and techniques that minimize damage can lead to long-lasting and satisfying results for customers.
In terms of customer service, there were mixed reviews. While one customer praised the salon's customer service and the stylist's efforts, another customer expressed disappointment. The latter customer felt neglected and overlooked when they came in for a haircut. This comment suggests a potential weakness in scheduling and prioritizing customers. Insufficient staffing and organization can lead to negative customer experiences and dissatisfaction.
Overall, Studio Fifty-Four Salon has strengths in terms of hairstyling expertise and using products and techniques that prioritize hair health. However, there are apparent weaknesses in customer service, communication, cleanliness, and scheduling. These weaknesses can contribute to negative experiences and customer dissatisfaction. To improve the salon's overall performance, it is crucial to address these weaknesses and focus on providing consistent, high-quality services to all customers.

This place ain't very good the employees are rude and it was dirty
I absolutely love Ashleigh at this studio! I’ve been getting full Brazilian waxes regularly from her for the past few months, and she is amazing! She is knowledgeable and proficient, she answers every question, and is great at distracting you from thinking about the waxing pain. The products they use and have available for purchase are perfectly paired to give you the smoothest wax, for the greatest amount of time, without the ingrown hairs or itchy growth. I’m so happy to have found a waxing studio I love and am SO comfortable with!
Went in for a haircut and have been regretting it ever since. For reference my hair was to my waist I went in for long layers. Key word being long. I showed Kat two different reference pictures of what I wanted. Maybe 4-5 inches off at max. She cut off my hair off and it is now to my shoulders. The layers at the top of my hair are so short I can’t put it in a bun or braid it because they just fall out. To say I’m frustrated is an understatement. I can’t believe I spent so many years growing my hair out just to have someone’s mistake ruin it. When I asked expressed my frustration with the length she said she thought I wanted all my “dead hair off” she cut 10-11 inches off I doubt that at was all “dead hair” and even it was that’s something you ASK someone before doing especially when I couldn’t have been more clear about what I wanted including pictures.
Jenn is the best at cutting my hair! She gives great tips to maintain my hair and how to style it. I love going to her and definitely recommend her to anyone.
Tiffany is awesome! I came in with an idea of what I wanted and she made my hair so pretty. She didn’t have to use bleach which I love I want healthy hair. She is quick and friendly. I found the salon on Groupon and I’m so glad I went. I feel beautiful which is a great feeling after having a baby and neglecting my hair for so long. Thank you so much! My husband said he didn’t realize my hair was so bad until I got it done and it looked so amazing. I needed the confidence boost. If you need one too go see Tiffany you won’t regret it. Make sure you text the numbers left in the voicemail. You will get quick responses if you text
Kat gave me a great haircut and was nice until she recalled I had a Groupon. The Groupon was for 2 haircuts. She refused to honor it for the 2nd cut, saying it wasn't worth hiring a babysitter for Groupons. I was able to get a refund from Groupon for the 2nd cut.
I had a mixed experience with this salon. I think the customer service is really great, and I tipped well (and am giving a second star) based on that alone. Amber was really sweet, and I feel like she had good intentions with my hair, but it just didn't turn out well at all.
The first time I came here, I had a Groupon for a cut/style and color. The color turned out good, and I didn't have any real issues with the haircut initially. It wasn't until I got home and hung out with friends who said they didn't even notice a difference with my hair in terms of length (I asked to get two inches off) that I realized that I misinterpreted what Amber said when she told me that one side of my hair was longer than the other because I had a lot of breakage. In any case, my hair turned out looking like it just got evened out and not actually cut. I noticed my layers also weren't brought up, and I figured I just didn't communicate what I wanted well enough.
I texted Amber giving her the benefit of the doubt, and she was nice enough to fit me in two days later for another haircut. She brought up my layers, took another two inches off, and showed me the back, and it looked blended well and very good initially. However, today (the next day) after showering and styling my hair as I normally do, I noticed that the right side of my hair is now significantly LONGER than the left side, and the right side was originally the shorter side when I first came in.
After the Groupon, tip, and other small charges, I now can't afford to get this fixed, and I really would rather not come in a third time.
I'm sure this salon is great if you're a repeat customer, and they already know what you want/what your style is, but it definitely didn't work out for me as a new client.
I stopped in to get a simple hair cut and there was no one available to help. The one girl that was there was waiting on her other customer's hair to finish processing (dye job) and she could've easily trimmed my split ends before she needed to remove the color. Unless you make an appointment in advance, don't expect to be helped and certainly don't expect the customer service to be great.
