Wish I could give more than 5 stars. Raul does not disappoint, he is incredibly talented! I have wavy curly hair and have been straightening it much of my life. Raul cut, colored and highlighted my hair. He taught me how to style my curls and love my natural hair, I am so thankful. This salon has a super rad vibe!
I started with a color consultation with Raul and he was incredibly thorough. I was so excited to get back into his chair for the actual service. I have been in the process of allowing my gray to grow in and ultimately wanted to color my hair gray, but I hadn't been able to find a stylist who could get the color right where I wanted it. That is, until I met Raul!! He nailed my color and it was even better that what I had anticipated. He took so much care and time to ensure it was exactly what I wanted. Raul had also cut my hair during that appointment, but I was having trouble styling it the way I wanted. Before I could call for a follow up, I received a text from him asking if everything was satisfactory. Let me say, that in all of my years of getting my hair cut and colored, I have NEVER had a stylist spend so much time on the consultation, service and then to FOLLOW UP afterwards to ensure I was happy?!? When I mentioned that I needed a bit more of a cut, he got me in the very next day!! (Again, WHAT?!? REALLY?!?) He made some modifications to my haircut and I walked out feeling (and looking) like a million bucks!! I am so delighted with the whole experience. The staff was amazing and Raul, an absolute rock star (oh and if you are into 80's music, you are in for a treat, as Raul has amazing music knowledge and recall of the 80's pop culture...a kindred spirit!). I would highly recommend Raul and The Electric Chair!
Raul and this salon are awesome!! I felt so comfortable sitting in Raul's chair listening to what he thought i should do with my hair and just letting him work his magic. Not only did I get a great haircut, but had great communication and found he is very passionate about continuing education for hair and skin care. I'm really excited to try Aveda's skin care system. Raul also called me to see how I liked my haircut, which I've never had a stylist do. Simply blew me away. I will continue to see Raul for as long as I can and hope any person reading this review will see him also.
I had such an amazing experience! Raul was incredible, he taught me how to use the products and how to build a hair care routine. His level of communication is amazing, he is so friendly and always describes what he is doing. He cut and styled my hair, and it was truly the best haircut I've ever had.
I came in with nearly three years worth of length and very little done to it since I shaved it all off in the pandemic. Raul Zamparripa took incredible care of my hair, noting how big a shift it can be for some to have so much taken off all at once. Once he had the green light, he took the mop and made it Flow. I joked it was like me bringing him a blank canvas and demanding the Mona Lisa on a Friday afternoon, so that's what this cut was called - "Mona Lisa on a Friday". I cannot recommend Raul or "The Electric Chair" enough. Easy conversation, laid back atmosphere, and stylists who are Artists. I'll be back.
Raul is my stylist and I've been going to him for over a year. I love my visits! Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about the Aveda products he uses, but he explains the process of cuts and coloring as he provides it. He really listens to his clients and makes the experience a great one! I highly recommend!!
Raul has an AMAZING KNOWLEDGE of the Aveda product line. I took my teenager with frizzy/curly hair in for a haircut. The products Raul recommended made all the difference with his hair. AND, I never would have considered his recommendations as a match for my son's hair type. If you're looking for a stylist that can help you understand which products will work best with your type of hair, Raul is a great resource. I suggest taking notes, he'll give you A LOT of information. The haircut was also great!
Raul is a true gift! I have never had a hairstylist as knowledgeable and skilled on wavy-curly hair as he was today. My hair looks amazing and I couldn’t be happier. I will definitely be booking again and again!
