Quick Facts About Traditionals Cuts Shaves & Brews
Traditionals Cuts Shaves & Brews has several strengths that contribute to its popularity and positive reviews. Firstly, the bar is praised for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly owners and staff who make customers feel like friends. The punk rock aesthetic of the bar adds to its unique charm, appealing to a specific niche within the community. The music selection also aligns with the punk vibe, creating a lively and authentic experience for patrons.
Another strength of Traditionals is its diverse and rotating selection of beers and wines. Customers appreciate the affordable prices and the opportunity to try interesting and unique options. The fact that the bar updates its beer list frequently, and even provides updates on platforms like Untappd, shows a commitment to offering an ever-changing and cutting-edge selection for beer enthusiasts. This dedication to staying current and providing quality options contributes to the positive reputation of the establishment.
The bar also benefits from its location within the arts district of Melbourne, known as EGAD. This gives it a certain level of cultural relevance and appeal, attracting customers who appreciate the artsy and creative atmosphere. The photography on the walls adds to the overall aesthetic and adds a touch of local flair. Additionally, having an outdoor patio space provides customers with a relaxing and enjoyable experience, reminiscent of trendy areas like Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
In terms of the hair services offered, Traditionals receives positive feedback for the quality of the cuts and shaves provided. Customers who have experienced the grooming services mention that they are smooth and professional, which is an important aspect for a barber shop. The fact that the establishment caters to both men and women by offering hairdressing services is also a positive aspect, as it expands the potential customer base.
Despite these strengths, there are also some weaknesses that should be addressed. One comment mentions the desire for an expanded wine selection to include Riesling and local porters. Taking customer suggestions into consideration and responding to their preferences could enhance the overall experience and attract a wider range of customers who appreciate a diverse wine selection.
While the punk rock aesthetic has been described as a strength, it is important to note that it may not appeal to a broader audience. This specific theme may limit the potential customer base and attract primarily those who identify with the punk culture. While this could create a dedicated and loyal customer base, it may also hinder the establishment from attracting a more diverse range of customers.
Furthermore, the mention of dog-friendliness in one comment could be seen as a potential weakness for those who do not appreciate being around animals or have allergies. While it may be a positive aspect for dog owners, it may also deter potential customers who are not fond of dogs or prefer a more controlled environment.
In conclusion, Traditionals Cuts Shaves & Brews has several strengths that contribute to its positive reputation. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, diverse beer and wine selection, and quality grooming services are consistently praised by customers. However, the establishment should consider expanding the wine selection to cater to a broader range of preferences and be aware that the punk rock aesthetic may limit its appeal to a more niche clientele. Overall, Traditionals Cuts Shaves & Brews has created a unique and engaging experience that resonates with its target audience.

Traditionals is a little punk rock gem in the heart of EGAD with warm, welcoming owners and bar goddesses. If you're looking for an affordable selection of interesting and rotating beers and wines, check this place out! You'll probably want to stay and hang whether you skate or not! Love you guys and thank you for what you do!
One of my favorite bars in Melbourne. Great choices of wine and beer. Excellent service. The bar has a punk style to it and so is the music.
Love this place...truely original take on what people want... great beers!!! Entire punk/skate vibe makes me feel at home
Love the vibe here, staff is really nice.
Good beers.
Hair cuts are on point.
great and unique establishment!
nice blend of old and modern punk/ bohemian culture motif. Pleasantly diverse and well-stocked bar coupled with a nice venue that regularly has some of the best local and out of town music. Fair drink prices, and although I have not had a cut or shave there I have heard from quite a few others that have that it is smooth and professional.
Crowd seems to me also nicely diverse and rather busy with good indoor and outdoor chilling space with a smoking area on the back porch. I dig it and would go back many times!
My favorite bar in all of Melbourne area, by a long shot. The punk aesthetic speaks to my soul, but is only enhanced by being fairly quiet, clean, and softly lit. The beer list is cutting-edge and eclectic, and turns over frequently -- Check them out on Untappd, as they update the list there expediently. Staff has always been super great to me. I felt like a friend the first time I went, and that hasn't changed over the last year or two.
This is an awesome, Eau Gallie, find. Located in the arts district of Melbourne, this business is a traditional barber (and hairdresser) with the most awesomeness, coolest, hipster bard behind.
Punk rock, doggies, skateboard and hair? What more do you want? Yes, you can bring your well trained doggie...
Very nice local bar. I love the photography on the walls. The vibe and outdoor patio remind me of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. I'm looking forward to them expanding their wine selection to include Riesling and a few local porters. I definitely recommend the bar.
