4. Gel nails: One comment mentioned that they loved their gel nail refill. Offering high-quality gel nails can be a strength for Unique Nails, as it is a popular service and can attract customers who are looking for long-lasting and durable nail treatments.
Unique Nails Weaknesses:
1. Poor quality of service: Multiple comments mentioned issues with the quality of service received at Unique Nails. Customers complained about uneven shaping of nails, jagged edges, hangnails, lumpy polish application, and rushed appointments. These concerns indicate a lack of attention to detail and poor craftsmanship, which can result in dissatisfied customers.
2. Lack of skill and experience: Several comments mentioned that some technicians at Unique Nails need more experience. It is important for a nail salon to have skilled and experienced technicians who can provide high-quality services to customers. The mention of a technician changing the price of a service last minute also shows a lack of professionalism.
3. Infection and pain: One comment mentioned that they got an infection after receiving a manicure at Unique Nails. This raises concerns about the sanitation practices followed at the salon. Additionally, other comments mentioned pain and discomfort caused by improper filing and thinning of the natural nail. These issues indicate a lack of expertise and care on the part of the technicians.
4. Inconsistent pricing: One comment mentioned that the price for a service was changed last minute, which is unprofessional. Inconsistent pricing practices can create confusion and dissatisfaction among customers, and can also damage the salon's reputation.
5. Lack of attention to detail: Multiple comments mentioned issues with the nail polish application, such as polish being applied on top of cuticles, thick coats of polish, and sloppy and rushed paint jobs. These issues indicate a lack of attention to detail and can result in a poor overall appearance of the nails.
In conclusion, Unique Nails has some strengths such as a clean and friendly environment, relaxing experiences, and the offering of gel nails. However, there are several weaknesses including poor quality of service, lack of skill and experience, issues with sanitation, inconsistent pricing, and a lack of attention to detail. Improvements in these areas are necessary for Unique Nails to provide a high-quality and satisfactory experience for their customers.

Best TL Reviews

DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Not a great experience. They’re lumpy, not uniform and just plain awful. I repeatedly tried to tell the woman what I wanted (stiletto) and this is what I got. She also cut me (in a few places) and laughed it off. She also started filing AFTER they were all polished and top coat on??? She made them way too thin and completely filed off my natural nail on some fingers and I’m in so much pain honestly. I didn’t want gel and they gave me gel anyway. I went with my sister and she just got a gel manicure, half of her nails aren’t even completely covered. Half of her one nail isn’t even painted! Awful, horrible, PAINFUL, and no one listens or cares what you want or if there’s an issue. I do not recommend this place AT ALL.
Horrible! Simple manicure came with infection, bad nail polish all over cuticles and uneven shape. We were staying in a hotel near by and I didn't get a usual manicure in NYC before travel, so decided to go to this place while kids were in science center. Salon looked wonderful. Great environment so I was excited to try it. First red flag was small selection of Esse and Opi colors (in NYC even small salon has selection 4 times as big). Colors were also kind of thick... but I didn't have much choice. I had short nails and needed a simple square shape (hard to screw up - I thought). I had to correct nail tech few times as she was filing my nails as she couldn't get shape right. She also kept filing into my skin (ouch). Cuticles were not cut properly or fully. Nail polish was applied on top of cuticles and in very thick coats. And the next day I got an infection on middle finger cuticle :( Never had one in so many years in NYC salons (even small shady salons). Maybe PA standards are different for Nail Services, but this was completely horrible work based on my standards (see pictures)
They are clean and nice just pricy. The best technician is Nancy cause the other ones need more experience. Fill in acrylics was $30 on the chart but after I did it was $48. She simply changed the price last minute and that is very unprofessional.
I really don't write reviews, but I had a very annoying experience here and wanted to share. I scheduled an appointment for a gel manicure, and looking back, I could have done a better job myself. The woman doing my nails shaped them poorly -- each nail was a different length and shape and she created jagged edges and hangnails as a result. She tried to file them off, which just made it worse. The gel itself peeled in layers a few days later. My appointment felt extremely rushed -- in and out in 15-20 minutes -- and during the appointment, the nail tech kept asking if I brought cash for a tip and that I needed to go to an ATM to get cash. I ended up leaving a tip on the card I paid with, but the nail tech kept pressuring me into getting cash. It was so weird. I had heard great reviews about this place, but it was such a waste of time.
Unique Nails truly is. Friendly and thoughtful staff. Definitely the place to go
Always relaxing
Great customer service and the best massage with pedicures
Loved my gel refill on my nails. But was expecting to be done around 45 minutes . It took over 1 1/2 hours!
Pedicure felt amazing! But paint job was sloppy and rushed. I had more polish on my skin than my toe nails. She didn't even do a 2nd coat. I had to come home and paint my own toes. I pretty much paid for a foot massage instead of a pedicure
