Quick Facts About Viva Nails
Viva Nails is a popular nail salon in Nashville that has received both positive and negative comments from customers. In this analysis, we will examine the strengths and weaknesses of Viva Nails based on the comments provided.
One of the notable strengths mentioned by customers is the quality of the service provided by the staff. Many customers have praised the technicians for their skills and attention to detail. They have mentioned that their cuticles come out unharmed and that the technicians are able to deliver the complicated designs they desire. This indicates that Viva Nails has a talented and capable team who can meet the diverse needs of their customers.
Another strength of Viva Nails is the friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Customers have commented that the owners, Vy and Jason, are wonderful and ensure that everything is top-notch. This suggests that the salon has a welcoming and comfortable environment, which is crucial for customers to enjoy their experience and feel valued.
Many customers also appreciate the convenience and flexibility offered by Viva Nails. They have mentioned that they can walk in without an appointment and still get started right away. This indicates that Viva Nails understands the importance of accommodating the needs of their customers, providing them with quick and efficient service.
However, despite these strengths, there are a few weaknesses mentioned by customers that need to be addressed. One recurring issue is with regards to the durability and longevity of the nail treatments. Some customers have complained that their nails chipped or peeled off within hours or after bathing. This suggests that there may be inconsistencies in the application or the products used, which can impact the overall quality and durability of the nail treatments.
Another weakness highlighted by customers is the rush and poor customer service experienced during their visits. Some customers mentioned feeling rushed as soon as they entered the salon and that the technicians did not take the time to properly attend to their needs. In some cases, customers complained about rough treatment, resulting in injury and discomfort. Additionally, the lack of attention to detail, such as leaving polish around cuticles and toes, reflects a lack of thoroughness in the services provided.
One customer also mentioned that the pricing at Viva Nails was relatively expensive, with a total bill of $120 for two children's nail services. This price point may not be affordable for all customers, limiting the accessibility of the salon to a specific demographic.
In conclusion, Viva Nails has various strengths such as a skilled and friendly staff, a welcoming atmosphere, and convenient walk-in service. However, there are also weaknesses such as issues with durability, inconsistent customer service, and relatively high pricing. Addressing these weaknesses and focusing on consistently delivering high-quality service to all customers would greatly enhance the overall reputation and success of Viva Nails.

I have tried a couple of salons in Nashville but I have stuck to viva nails for the past 5 times because of the the staff and quality. I have Ruby for a couple of times but this time I had someone different and it was still great. They were kind even when I didn’t like the length of my nails she agreed to take it al of and start again! All you have to do is ask because I asked for cuticle oil and they put it and were kind about the length situation!
I went in to get nails done for an engagement shoot. She made 4 of my cuticles bleed before stopping and not doing that on the rest. She did not try to get the one that was bleeding the worst to stop, so blood is actually stuck into the nail color now (white nails). It took an hour after I left to get it to stop bleeding. Additionally the color is uneven on a nail and another nail she re-did the top coat multiple times and it is still not smooth. The owner came over and looked and made multiple comments to the lady doing my nails, but no one addressed me.
Love, love, love Viva Nails! I've been going to Viva for about 10 years now. My go to technicians are Vi, Van, Jason and Jenna. Over the years I have alternated between dipping powder and acrylic with gel polish. Both look great and my cuticles come out unharmed lol. I opt for gel pedicures because they last foreverrrrr. I'm pretty tough on my nails and these puppies hold up through weight lifting, jamming, swimming, cleaning, typing, sun exposure, spray tanning, etc. I always get compliments on my nails and I recommend Viva to everyone.
This was our first visit. My daughters 9 and 12 had their nails done. All in with tip was $120. Within hours the nails were chipping and after a bath last night they completely peeled off without effort. We won’t be back.
I absolutely LOVE viva nails! They did an amazing job with the complicated design I wanted, and got me in and out pretty quick. I walked in with no appointment and got started right away! I will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend!!
I’ve been coming here for 11 years and the atmosphere is always friendly and relaxing. The owners Vy and Jason are wonderful as well, they always make sure that everything is top notch. If your looking for amazing work and great customer service, this is the place.
I went in for a pedicure with a couple girlfriends. It was such a poor experience, start to finish. We had appointments and went early in the day. We were the only ones there but were rushed as soon as we walked in to pick our colors and take a seat by multiple employees. I chose a regular pedicure and polish and was done in probably 15 minutes. The technician was not friendly and rushed through the entire service. She cut the skin of my toe and when I asked she said no, but I felt it and sure enough once I left it turned red. Hoping it’s not infected. Polish is all around my cuticles and toes. It looks terrible. She asked me to pay her before my friends were finished, which of course is fine, brought my card and a folded receipt, no line to tip or even sign. Not even a pen, so assuming she knew she did a poor job and didn’t expect a tip. This is not my first bad experience here, I tried dip for the first time a few months ago and the technician was so rough & filled my nail beds so thin it was painful, one nail bruised & began to swell under the dip. I had to go have it removed (not here) and I lost the nail far down into the nail bed. It took months to heal. I will never be back here.
I recommend this place to ALL of my friends! I moved here 4 years ago and went to a few different nail salons and this is the only one that has never disappointed me. The staff is incredible. So nice and so talented. I usually see the same girl, Vy, but when she is not there I still get someone who does an incredible job. I have made last minute appointments, showed up 15 minutes late, had to cancel last minute, and they are always still so sweet and understanding. I refuse to go to any other nail salon in Nashville. I actually moved further away but still drive 30 minutes just for them. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!
