Quick Facts About Amy's Barber & Beauty Salon

Amy's Barber & Beauty Salon seems to have its strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided.
Strengths: 1. Long-time Customers: One comment mentions that they have been going to Amy's for over 10 years, indicating that the salon has a loyal customer base. 2. Friendly Atmosphere: Many comments highlight the friendly and conversational atmosphere at the salon, creating an enjoyable experience for customers. 3. Affordable Prices: Multiple comments mention that the haircuts at Amy's are reasonably priced, making it accessible to a wide range of customers. 4. Fast Service: Some customers appreciate the quick service they receive at the salon, allowing them to get their haircuts done promptly.
Weaknesses: 1. Inconsistent Service: One customer had a negative experience with a barber named Mike, who only partially cut their son's hair and provided poor service. This indicates a lack of consistency among the staff members. 2. Lack of Attention to Customer Requests: Some comments mention that the barbers did not fulfill their requests correctly. One customer received a high fade instead of a low fade, and another ended up with a very high fade instead of a medium fade, requiring them to fix it themselves at home. 3. Poor Time Management: In one instance, a customer had to wait for a long time due to the hairstylist's distractions, such as answering phone calls during the haircut. This shows a lack of professionalism and consideration for the customers' time. 4. Dramatic Changes in Hairstyle: While one customer had a positive experience with a stylist named Laurie, another customer expressed discomfort with the dramatic change in their hairstyle, even though their friends and family liked it. This suggests a lack of clear communication and understanding between the stylist and the customer.
Overall, Amy's Barber & Beauty Salon has a friendly atmosphere and affordable prices, which are appreciated by customers. However, there seem to be issues with inconsistent service, lack of attention to customer requests, poor time management, and potential miscommunication regarding desired hairstyles. Improvements in these areas could greatly enhance the overall customer experience at the salon.

Horrible service. So Mike starts my sons hair cut and 5 mins later four other customers walk in and he calls me over and says this is all I can do. Charges me full price and expects a tip and sends my son home with only half his head cut and the other untouched!!!! Don’t go here if you do don’t let Mike near your head!
I've been going to Amy's for 10+ years same barber mike always good conversations with everyone involved fun place to be great haircuts band prices
I wanted a medium fade with a trim on top. What I got was a very high fade that made my hair look like it was pointing up. I had to come home and use my clippers to trim down the the hair on top to match the crazy high fade. My son wanted a low fade and they gave him a high fade. Honestly the only good thing about getting this haircut was it was very fast for both of us to get a haircut.
Awesome, Affordable and fast! Best place to buy masks etc!!!!!!
Be careful. I went and asked for a low fade. What was given to me was a high fade. The only redeeming part is the haircut was cheap, but now I have to work to get my hair back.

I always go there to get a skin tight fade. It's reasonably priced and the best part is the barber by the name of Mike or Michael. He's a good guy, funny and originally from Chicago. He's been cutting hair for over 15 years if I remember correctly. I've bought a sports mask there as well. They have NBA,NFL,MLB and surgical ones too. Tell him Markus sent you.
So I get haircuts from this place frequently and very fast. However a woman I've never seen before gave me a haircut and talked with other people in the store, stopping my haircut. At one point she answered her phone and had a full conversation, also stopping my haircut. It ended up taking an hour to get a trim that would usually take 10 minutes.
Needed a haircut bad a lot of split ends and damaged hair, very hesitant to let anyone cut my hair because I spent $100s for the worst haircut of my life 10 years ago at Toni and Guy. I haven't had my hair cut by anyone since that day. I paid $20 for a cut I feel is very short for me, it was a very dramatic change in my style or what I'm comfortable with... I'm still getting used to it. My family and friends say they ❤ my hair, so, I can't say it's not a good haircut. Thank you Laurie! I can say I would recommend this place to anyone who wants quick, friendly service. Nice place, clean and fairly busy, friendly staff and great prices.
