Quick Facts About Cut Above On 7th

Cut Above On 7th place has a number of strengths and weaknesses based on the comments provided. Let's examine them in detail:
Strengths: 1) Skilled barbers: Multiple customers mentioned the skill and expertise of certain barbers, such as Bruno and Alex. They were praised for their ability to give great haircuts and provide a satisfying experience. 2) Knowledge of specific hair types: Some customers with specific hair textures, such as fine-textured hair or long curly hair, found that certain barbers, like Rose, understood their hair well and provided excellent service. 3) Relaxing atmosphere: The shop was described as having an easy-going and spa-like atmosphere. This can contribute to a positive experience for customers and make them feel comfortable during their visit. 4) Good rates: One customer appreciated the reasonable prices for the services offered, specifically mentioning a wash, cut, and dry for $45. This can attract customers who are looking for affordable options. 5) COVID-19 safety measures: Another customer mentioned that the shop follows all COVID-19 procedures. This is an important strength, especially during the pandemic, as it ensures the safety and well-being of both customers and staff.
Weaknesses: 1) Rude owner and poor customer service: Multiple customers expressed dissatisfaction with the owner, Bruno, stating that he was rude, lacked understanding of customer service, and had a negative attitude. An incident was mentioned where a customer was spoken to rudely and then abruptly hung up on when questioning the delay in serving their children. This behavior can create a hostile and unwelcoming environment, leading to lost customers. 2) Inconsistent experiences with different barbers: While some customers had positive experiences with specific barbers, others experienced disappointment. One customer with long curly hair claimed that two other barbers did not listen to their requests and ended up cutting off all their hair. This inconsistency in service can be a significant weakness as it may lead to customers losing trust in the establishment. 3) Lack of punctuality: One customer mentioned being turned away for being only four minutes late, which they believe is well within a grace period. This incident, coupled with the inconsistency in punctuality (mentioned as an issue by the dissatisfied customer who had to wait for 15 minutes), indicates a lack of professionalism and organization in managing appointments. 4) Unprofessional behavior: Another customer mentioned that when the barber cut their hair off against their wishes, the staff laughed it off even though the customer was clearly upset. This unprofessional behavior can be distressing and damaging to the reputation of the business.
In conclusion, Cut Above On 7th place has some strengths such as skilled barbers, knowledge of specific hair types, and a relaxing atmosphere. However, there are significant weaknesses including a rude owner, inconsistent experiences with different barbers, lack of punctuality, and unprofessional behavior. Addressing these weaknesses, particularly improving customer service and addressing issues of inconsistency and punctuality, can greatly benefit the business and help retain customers in the long run.

I have been going to get my 2 kids haircuts here for the past 3 years. Rose is amazing and it's too bad the owner is rude and does not understand how to be in a kid friendly neighborhood with customer service. I called ahead to bring my 2 kids to get a hair cut. We were exactly 4 minutes past the time we were given. 4 minutes with a 6 and 4 year old is well within a grace period of waiting for clients. Upon entering, we were told very rudely (in front of my children) that we were late and took someone else. We were told to return in 30 min. So, my babysitter made sure to return on time and after waiting 15 minutes, and not even being acknowledged, I called to speak to Bruno. When he answered I said hello and I was replied with a very angry "yeah Speak!".. I explained that my kids were waiting and asked when they would be seen, esp since we were not taken on time for being 4 min late.. I was rudely yelled at for being late and told that he didn't have time to argue and abruptly hung up on me. If you have a business in a child friendly neighborhood, being mindful of your service to paying customers and young kids is not only professional but the decent way to serve. Kindness and accommodating your clients is how to treat people. We supported you during the pandemic early on to make sure small businesses such as yours still had business. You have permanently lost 2 clients that could have been going here for years to come.
We moved to Brooklyn in 2017. Cut Above on 7th is a block away, and I called to make an appointment. Bruno has been cutting my hair ever since. He has the skilled barber’s sense of what looks good, and he has the mastery to trim in ways that my uneven hair lines look great. The shop has an easy-going atmosphere. I think it is the best place for a haircut.
Mixed feelings, one guy is very good, listens well and gives a great cut. I've had two other women who both didn't listen. I have long curly hair and asked for a scissor cut and was told "No, I have to buzz it" and they cut all my hair off and laugh it off when I look upset. Very upsetting and disappointing, but conflicted because not everyone who works there is like that!
I came on a Saturday and everyone was busy except a young barber named Miguel. I gave him a try and he did a great job with my hair and was a great conversationalist. I highly recommend Miguel for a chill experience!
My hair’s texture is very fine, and I have always had difficulty finding a person to cut it. That is, until I found Rose. A Cut Above on 7th is my “go to” place, and Rose knows fine textured hair. The atmosphere is relaxed, and when I enter, it is like going to a spa. I highly recommend Cut Above on 7th in Brooklyn. Rose’s chair is where you’ll find me.
Alex is the professional hair guy he did 4 hair cuts always happy
