Quick Facts About Dorsett Nails
Dorsett Nails has mixed reviews based on the comments provided. Some customers have positive experiences, while others have encountered various issues and expressed dissatisfaction with the service. In order to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the business, it is important to consider the recurring themes in the comments.
One recurring issue mentioned by multiple customers is the poor quality of the service. Customers complain about receiving subpar nail treatments, such as unevenly applied French tips, improperly done gel polish, and nails that are not even in length or shape. These comments suggest that the nail technicians at Dorsett Nails may lack the necessary skills and attention to detail to provide consistently high-quality results. Consequently, this weakness may lead to a loss of customer satisfaction.
Another significant weakness of Dorsett Nails is the lack of customer service. Numerous customers mention instances of feeling dismissed, ignored, or mistreated by the staff. There are complaints of nail technicians laughing at customers when they get injured or expressing rude behavior. This demonstrates a lack of professionalism and respect towards customers, which is essential for establishing a positive and welcoming atmosphere. Such negative experiences can deter customers from returning and harm the reputation of the salon.
In terms of strengths, a few customers positively mention specific nail technicians. One customer praises Jenny, stating that their nails and brows always look fabulous after leaving the salon. Although this is just one comment and may not represent all customers' experiences, it suggests that the salon has some competent and talented nail technicians. Highlighting such skilled employees can be beneficial for the business as it showcases individuals who consistently deliver satisfactory results.
Pricing is also mentioned in some comments, both as a weakness and a strength. One customer expresses dissatisfaction with being charged extra without prior notice, suggesting a lack of transparency in the pricing structure. However, another customer mentions that the pedicure service was more expensive but did not provide any specific reasons for the higher cost. This suggests that the salon may offer some services at a higher price point, potentially targeting customers who are willing to pay more for specialized treatments.
It is worth noting that some customers mention the wait times they experienced at Dorsett Nails. One customer states that they sat in the chair for over an hour for a pedicure and were then passed over for someone who arrived later. Excessive wait times can be frustrating for customers and may lead to negative reviews or a loss of business. However, this comment also mentions that the service being taken before them was more expensive, suggesting that the salon may prioritize higher-paying customers, which can be perceived as a strength from a business perspective.
In conclusion, Dorsett Nails has several weaknesses that should be addressed in order to improve customer satisfaction and retain business. These include the poor quality of service, lack of professionalism and respect towards customers, and inconsistent pricing practices. However, the salon also has some potential strengths, such as skilled employees and the ability to cater to customers willing to pay higher prices. By addressing the weaknesses and building upon the strengths, Dorsett Nails can work towards providing a better overall experience for their customers.

They cut me every other time I’m in there and laugh about it. If someone comes in for eyebrows they stop what they’re doing and help them. It takes me two hours or more every time. Officially done giving them business. I got French tips for my wedding and none of them are in a straight line and they said there is nothing they can do.
The pedi looks like a freshman in nail tech school did it
The nail tech literally ripped my real nails off because my soak off took to long
Then I had to get tips. Never again. Still tipped my 20%….
Service not worth the price. Pedicure was $25, I got gel polish & an overlay on each big toe. (horribly done btw) My total was $60. I was told $10 for the overlay, then charged $15, price of $20 for gel polish NEVER mentioned, if I was paying $15 for the overlay, I should of been able to get the acrylic tip I asked for once I realized he didn’t know how to extend an overlay and asked him to use a tip because thats not the look I’m going for. Will not be going back. Couldn’t even explain the charges kept pointing at another employee saying he tell me $15 while im standing there saying no he said $10! The man never once said anything
This place is the absolute worst!! It deserve ZERO stars. I went in for a pedicure, the only person there on a Friday afternoon, that should of been my first clue. The guy doing my pedicure cut my foot twice and just looked at me and smiled. Then he burped and laughed a handful of times like a child. Absolutely disgusting!!!!
Worst experience. My daughter's friend was cut twice, one which was kinda deep. Nails are not even lengths or shape. Also charged extra for second pic, said these are long nails.
Jenny is amazing! My nails and brows always look fabulous when I leave.
Sat in a chair over an hour for a pedicure. They took someone in the chair who came in after me so I left and no they did not have an appointment. Just a more expensive service.
I went in to have 1 nail fixed. I was immediately told “they don’t do that” and dismissed. When I referenced their menu showing they do offer gel nails, I was told no one could help me. No one asked me if I wanted to make an appointment or come back later, and they were incredibly RUDE. I will never go back.
